Rocket needs to go to puppy socialising classes with Harlen after he has had all his vaccinations. Get him used to all sights and sounds. Especially train him to behave around horses. Encourage Harlen to be involved with Rockets training and care so they can build up a bond. Set boundaries and be consistent when training. Get Rocket neutered when he is old enough. Good luck with your beautiful dog.

**Att: First time puppy owners 💛 nothing is more important then puppy training classes so you and Hariln ( bless him) don't make all the first time puppy owner mistakes everyone makes. And teaching Harlin how to play with the puppy WITHOUT using his hands so the puppy does not learn to chew and bite humans is hugely important !. What starts as play turns into chronic aggressiveness later in the dogs life. Little boys can play fight with puppies it is essential to teach that this is not how to interact with a puppy. House training in a crate is also essential with Possitive reinforcement only. Negative can creat aggression down the road. Best of luck you guys deserve all the love and joy a puppy brings.💛💛💛 from a dog trainer 💛 i know you and Harlin ( with loving guidance) will be wonderful dog parents 💛

Here are some tips I found helpful having two dogs.
Start training right away so they lean good behaviours.
Buy them a coat I live in Australia where it is considerably warmer than in the UK but both my dogs still have fleece coats for cold winter nights to keep them warm ( some horse places may do dog coats that match horse coats so they could be cute with matching coats for the puppy and horses)
Also see if there are any obedience puppy classes near you because they are a great way to help the puppy socialise and also learn good behaviours.
Make sure to give it lots of cuddles but also give it some alone or sleeping time often 😀🐶

    So happy for you🎉🎉
1- Socialising your puppy is extremely important, for example if you would want to get a new dog, your dog has to be socialised enough to have a new dog in the house without problems, so I would suggest asking around or searching up a trainer, that doesn’t just help the dog. it also helps you with training.
2- training from a young age is pretty important, training, not to bite, training, not to jump, training not to nip at the ponies, etc etc.
3- and with the ponies, I would suggest you take him to them. Just let them sniff him around and not let him go at the minute, wait until it feels like popcorn. Rollo cloudy and pandas are comfortable around him and he is comfortable around them.
4- some of the foods I prefer, is Royal Canan, and hills. You can determine if food is working for your dog, depending on their health.
5- and obviously taking your dog to the bed for vaccinations is extremely important, and even try going to a dog friendly restaurant every once second week, that will also encourage your to not bark at strangers and sit quietly next to you.
6- I would recommend watching videos from Cesar Milan, he’s an amazing dog trainer and can teach you a lot.
7- going on a walk with these puppies are crucial, and also teaching them to do the command “heel,” so if you go search it up on TH-cam or wherever, you will find that heel means your dog has to walk by your side, every time you’re walking, never pull on the lead, even in situations where there’s another dog or human involved that they excited, it takes a lot of time to the heel, with training at least twice a day, but not for too long will help.
    Hope it helps!

^^^ also remember that you need PROPER socialization. Don’t let your puppy greet everyone on the street, instead teach your puppy to ignore dogs and people on the street and only focus on you! Also don’t do on leash greetings with unknown dogs because that can turn in to frustration and reactivity. Very important is also a great recall that you should practice from day 1( a long line helps with recall training) and don’t let your puppy off leash if he can’t come when called from dogs. Don’t let your puppy approach on leash dogs when he is off leash- the other dog might be leashed because he isn’t friendly. And just respect every other dog owner who doesn’t want their dog to meet yours! Good luck and cherish every moment- I swear puppy phase passes in seconds 🥲

    Hey Chelsea and harlow!!
Some tips from a dog owner of 9 years!
    1. Make sure he is toilet trained quickly and get him into it for a habit.
    2. When he is young it is better to get him chewy toys for his teeth.
    3. Start training him to sit and wait straight away as he will understand it quicker.
    4. If you want him to sleep in a cage or like a bed overnight then start putting him in it again straight away otherwise he will find it odd and will most likely cry.
    5. Try get him to learn his name and recall so if you go on a walk and let him off the lead, he comes back.
    6. Make sure you take him for a wash or gro0m every 6-8 weeks? As then he doesn’t get matted fur and keeps his nails short.
    7. Enjoyy! You deserve the dog sm and hope Harlen loves him x

And as a Dachsund owner - they can sometimes be a little more standoff ish towards new dogs/people. Please always advocate for your dog if he is uncomfortable! Don’t over walmed the puppy when you first have him. He will sleep most of the time, he will play for about half an hour at a time, then sleep. If he starts to get naughty that is a sign that he is getting sleepy. With his create always leave it open. Make sure you have puppy pads down just incase he has any accidents. Start with five or six. But give him a small area to start with, or he will just pee every where. Or if you are letting him roam free make sure someone is with him so if you see him showing signs that he wants to go to the bathroom you can take him to his potty mats or out in the garden. I am a qualified dog trainer so if you do need any help at all please don’t hesitate to contact me and I would be more than willing to assist you. Enjoy your new member of the family, don’t forget that he can’t go on the public street until he has had all his vacations. And make sure that he has been wormed.

As someone who has my first dog (had him for half a year now) I have some tips about thing i learned in this journey.
Socializing is SUPER important, other wise they can get anxious in the future.
Try touching his paws (toes, nails) and face a lot, this will make it a lot easier to maintain his nails and groom when he gets a bit older.
I recommend learning a lot about doggy language and how they communicate with each other (for example: whale eyes, lip licking, yawning, looking away and ears back can be signs of stress) Knowledge about aggression, stress, excitement can be really beneficial in training and when meeting other dogs.
Teach him as soon as possible they biting, nipping, jumping or barking isn’t the way of getting attention. Try to ignore them and walk away if they to that, praise when they calm down. Positive reinforcement training works amazing, food or toys can be amazing motivators.
I dont know if you already have it but since a dachshund is a hunting breed and they loooove to sniff I recommend a snuffle Matt. Also take him on sniffy walks, try some searching in the yards (hide treats behind and under this, let him search for it with his nose) This will really simulate him which would be amazing for his mental health! Good luck!

    Here are some tips
. If he ever wees on anything baking powder and viniger is AMAZING for getting rid of stains .
Start training straight away so that he can learn basic ground rules.
Socialise him with people and other dogs from a young age.
Alow him to have alone time but give him affection and cuddles when he wants it.
Make sure to give him treats but not too many because dogs can become overweight very easily.
I hope you found these tips helpful and I can't wait to see how he's doing in upcoming vlogs!❤❤❤

I raised a lot of foster puppies, and the best tip I got, bar none was this.
There are only 3 places a puppy should be. Inside the house with ocnstant supervision, in their crate, or outside with supervision. As they get a little older, you can tie the leash around your waist, and teach the pup appropriate behaviour in the house. It also helps with puppy manners, learning to sit when you stop, etc. Any accident or bad habit you can avoid the puppy ever doing, the less "correcting" you will need to do.

    • @Dany-yi5rz
      @Dany-yi5rz หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Have seldom heard such nonsense. Tie a leash around your waist and drag the pup around the house with you all day, so that he learns to follow you around at all times and not getting any rest? Not learning to be on his own in a room or in the house for some time without panicking?

As someone who has had dogs for almost 50 yrs I'd like to share some hints.
    1. Divide the toys in to half or thirds snd store in a box/tub/bucket. Alternate tubs so the toys are always different to prevent boredom.
    2. If your puppy is a chew monster don't leave him attached to the car strap (the red one that clicks into the seat belt clip) unless someone is sitting next to him. My dogs all chewed thru ours snd it was happening very very quickly.
    3. Crate him at night or when unattended. This will help him toilet train quicker.
    4. Do some puppy classes. Something called puppy pre school or similar, then move onto obedience training. An obedient dog is really a much happier dog, they know what's expected and it teaches the handler to start reading body language. Get the kids involved in training the puppy to sit, stay, come, drop.
    4. Every day run your hands all over his body, handle his feet, check between his toes, open his mouth and look inside, touch his teeth and tongue. This is multiple purpose. If you do this everyday you learn what is normal for him and pick up lumps bumps cuts or grazes. Also means he gets used to being handled and if a vet needs to examine him he is used to it. Make it part of a daily grooming routine.
    5. Our dog loved the treats we bought but they started getting a bit too fat. So we moved onto cooked veg and then progressed onto raw vegetables. Favourites were raw broccoli stems, raw carrot, raw cauliflower stems, ***don't give onion, leek, or garlic or from the family.
    6. Teach the dog that you as the humans have the right to take away food. This is essential to have him accept you to take away food. There will be a time one day that he gets into something he shouldn't and you need to take it off me. ***many times I've had to put my hand at the back of the dogs mouth to remove allsorts of things like Bones, underpants, food containers and wrappers, food the dog stole etc...
Can't wait to see him growing up

Congratulations on your new puppy, he is adorable! Having a puppy in the house is a lot of work the first 2 years but it's also a ton of fun💖
✔Make sure he doesn't have access to cables, keep away anything he could swallow. Puppies discover the world around them by chewing or tasting. Give him access to different toys every day, dogs are intelligent and they get bored of the same toys, this will keep him busy and away from things you don't want destroyed. Chewing accomplishes a number of things for a dog. For young dogs, it's a way to relieve pain that might be caused by incoming teeth, usually up to 6-8 months. For older dogs, it's nature's way of keeping jaws strong and teeth clean. Chewing also combats boredom and can relieve mild anxiety or frustration.
✔Some people think water should be limited to avoid potty accidents, but this is absolute nonsense. Make sure he always has access to water. Potty time with puppies is usually after playtime, after nap time, and after feeding.
✔Carrots, apples, some frozen veggies or even fruits (research) can be very healthy and tasty for your dog.
✔Make sure you keep him safe when he is around the horses, he is basically a toddler.
✔Socializing with other dogs could also be dangerous, make sure the other dogs are friendly or else he could get scared and aggressive for life after a bad experience.
Looking forward to your next vlog with little Rocket! 🥰

Congratulations on your new puppy! You’re going to have so much fun! I got my first puppy 14 years ago and I wish someone would have told me two things:
    1. The importance of proper socialization (getting your puppy used to going out and seeing lots of different people, animals, places, etc). This is soo important because proper socialization helps your puppy become a confident dog who is calm and happy in all sorts of situations. According to the research, the best time to do socialization is before 16 weeks old because after 16 weeks old, puppies naturally become more shy/fearful. So find a reputable positive trainer and puppy socialization classes immediately to prevent issues later. I adopted my puppy at 6 months old and she had not gotten that early socialization. As a result, she was extremely fearful of other animals, people, and new situations. She did not like to be outside in new places at all. We have worked through a lot of her fear issues with a concept called counterconditioning, but it is so much easier to introduce proper socialization when your puppy is young than to fix issues later.
    2. The importance of positive training methods instead of alpha/dominance training methods. I didn’t know much about dogs when I got my puppy and all of my friends said that I needed to use alpha/dominance training to train her, so I did. The result was that my dog became very fearful of me. Later on, I found Victoria Stilwell and her positive training methods which I switched to. My dog did so much better with the positive training methods. I highly recommend starting with only positive training and finding a reputable, positive-only trainer in your area. Victoria has trainers that she certifies and you might be able to find one in your area. Her methods of counterconditioning and positive training really helped my dog.
Kikopup on TH-cam also has a lot of great videos for how to train puppies positively. Have fun!

I have had three dogs in my life I am 13 and I do dog training and I study abt dogs very often and hoping to go into dog trick shows but I learned all these tips from my heart dog lol❤️
    Top tips:
All ways have dog pops bags
When your dog is a puppy train them as much as you can and especially train with bathing and trimming There nails
Be careful with your puppy at dogs parks, dogs parks can be the funniest but the most dangerous place for your dog
    Love them constantly
    Don’t let them get bored.
    Small facts or like tips:
Make sure your dog knows who's boss. Sounds means but when your puppy grows up You can come a bad habit.
Don’t get in your dogs face
Just like how you desensitize your horse do that for your doggy
First tricks to learn and are important
Stay, train them the word focus and when you say focus they will look at you, what potty means like when to go to the bathroom , as a puppy bring them places but make sure your puppy is comfortable, first week or two just bond, I recommend harness they more comfortable for your dogs. For me I mostly use collars but it works better for me and my dog for reasons but definitely recommend harnesses. , this is a problem with me and my dog but train your dog will treats but all train without treats many times dogs won’t do tricks without treats. So DONT let your dogs do this.
    THIS IS A BIG ONE
FOR ME my dog never gets small bones or super tennis balls thousands of dogs choke and pass away from choking on theses. When I was super young we had a over natural big English mastiff and he was absolutely huge and he would choke on toy balls
He choked on bones before and my other dog I used to have all so choked on tennis balls. BE CAREFUL AND ALL THE SMALL BALLS GET RID OF but if you are confident and if it works for you keep it but I personally recommend it not give small bones and toy balls
And when you get bones obviously they’re gonna get slimy and more chewier and softer but at a certain point throw them away because they get more slimy and will slide down your dogs throat and they will choke on them
I recommend raw dog food for your dog and for me and for show dogs and athlete dogs a common thing people do is give there dogs raw eat and with the egg shell it’s so good for your dog and their coat
Before you go to Dogs park get them license and Get your puppy chipped so if they ever get lost, you will know where they are. I absolutely recommend getting your dog chipped. And you may say you don’t want to but can be on the biggest regrets in your life when you lose your dog and they are not chipped.
I have a more muscular dog and stronger dog and you have a small
dainty puppy so they are big differences but train your dog to be friendly to other dogs, because your dog can launch at other dogs and smaller puppy’s like yours have a more high pitched bark and IT SO ANNOYING AFTER TIME so train them to not bark
    Ill post more tips later❤️
If you have any questions I would absolutely love to answer or advice on training❤️ how about a pin😉
But my main tip and the greatest thing to do for your dog and how to make your dog the happiest is just love them :)

HI HARLOW!!!! I'VE BEEN WATCHING SINCE 100k SUBS!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
Your channel has been my inspiration to start riding! Also congrats on your new puppy Rocket!!! I really want to meet you but we live in VA 😭
You've grown so much and I can't believe you are already at 532k subs!! Don't let your falls stop you (not like they are, you're super super perseverant!) You're such a sweet girl Harlow, don't let any hate get to you (They're probably just jealous). I've been in countless of youtube shorts comment fights defending you (they were saying you were abusing your horses, hurting them by pulling on the reins too hard, and seesawing. Don't worry, I won every single one and they turned off the comments once I did 🤣). I'm going to end this comment here because I am getting a you-better-get-off-the-laptop-dizzy notification from my fever 😅. I love you so much Harlow and I really hope to meet you one day.

    puppy tips !
socialize the pup ALOT i mean go to busy citys schools lots of differen places ( bus and train is also smart ). When being puppy show the horses also alot but do it in parts when being scared. Take care of the jumping up when small or not not jumping up is nice ( mine does it on commando ). Teach the puppy on commando to lay on a map and that it will sleep in a crate. Dont walk to much with the pup you need to built it up! Pick up paws dress it up and al that kind of stuff so when needed with the vet it is nice ( mussle training is also nice ). Take care of the picking up and give it some treats when picking up you dont want that the pup got a bad memory about it. Train ALOT and they will be a teenager so it can seem like it learned nothing but it is looking what the boundarys are so it will get better again. oh and groom it so it know it all. Also what can be nice is is a blanket smelled like yall so just put a little blanket in your bed for a few weeks and then put the blanket in the crate my dog Blizz liked that alot! i hope yall are doing great the puppy rocket is adorable!!!!!

I have some Tips for you
1.Make sure you have a little area for your puppy to be at night with a bed, toys, water and a puppy pad. You can use a crate to get him use to sleeping there BUT do not use the crate if he is naughty it should be a nice/place for him to be
2.Make sure when he has had his vaccinations you take him to socialise with other dogs and get harlen involved in training.
3.DONT leave food around have set meal times otherwise he will continuously go to the bowl and eat and need the toilet more.
    4. Make sure there is a puppy pad in the room he is that is accessible(try keep him in your sight)
    5. If he starts sniffing or spinning round put him on the puppy pad so he will learn it’s his toilet.
6.Allow him to interact with different things e.g. horses
    7. When/if he starts teething/nibbling you give him a toy to correct him so he knows only to bite the toy.
    8. Train him to do basic steps e.g sit or Laydown before getting his food or even spin
9.Potty breaks: Everytime he sniffs around the room, wakes up,eats, drinks, plays provide him with a potty break(this can be outside after getting all his vaccinations)
    10. Play with him. He needs to get the energy out of him. Use toys to play with him e.g throw a ball he can carry.
11.When you go out give him a toy or a toy you put food in to keep him occupied
That’s all I’ve got hope it helps i love your vids can I get a shout out it’s alright if not keep up the work ❤

Tips from an owner of 5 dogs who have also raised 2 full litters of puppies and kittens:
    1. Puppies can be crazy with energy, use ways to stimulate them both mentally and physically to help on your end with calming them down. Physically: long walks, fetch Mentally: enrichment like lickimats and kongs, dog puzzles, training sessions
    2. Schedule a vet appointment for all vaccines IMMEDIATELY. They are very prone to catching things when young as their immune system isnt as strong as it would be as an adult.
    3. Always carry poop bags and napkins with you incase of an accident when out and about.
    4. Dont take good behavior for granted as if you start lacking since hes been doing really good and you THINK you know he knows what to do right, bad habits will form. Bad habits are much much harder to break then creating and sustaining good ones in the eyes of a puppy.
    5. CRATE TRAINING!! You do not need to wake up in the middle of the night. You have to train him to hold it from a puppy so hes trained for when hes older for instances where he needs to. Put him in the crate at night, covering it can help with the barking. Introduce him to the crate beforehand, making it a positive space with treats and comfort. Let him outside to go potty then IMMEDIATELY into his crate for the night. In the morning, STRAIGHT OUTSIDE. During the day, thats when you let him go out a ton, as much as needed. You can put a button or bell by the door and train him to ring/press it when he wants to go outside (videos on how to train that can be found on YT). Keep the crate positive, trust me, you will want to do this even if you dont think so. Stick with it even when it gets hard, its so worth it for when they grow up!
    6. Socialize him on walks. Be picky on where you take him. As hes really small, especially being a miniature dachs, I recommend dont taking him to highly populated dog areas as thats basically asking for him to become reactive. Dont let every dog approach him, and he shouldnt either.
Goodluck!! Hope this helps -- hes so cute.
Also-- be aware of socks and small things that can cause an obstruction in his stomach. Those surgeries are very, very costly (trust me, I know. My dog has been through 2 of them and ohhh boy!) Veggidents are vet certified dental treats. I dont recommend the brand you bought in the form of a toothbrush as that can cause an obstruction. Greenies also arent very good. He shouldnt still be drinking milk at his age, so you are really going to want to wean him off of it completely as soon as possible. It will cause problems in the future if you dont. 9 weeks old max is when they should still be consuming milk. For treats, the less ingredients the better. Thats also for their food too. "Stewarts" and "Nutri-Bites" are good 1-ingredient freeze dried dog treat brands that my dogs LOVE. To keep him not picky with food, try not to spoil him too much with extra additives in his kibble until he gets older. As soon as hes vaccinated, start taking him out with the horses. Its very important he learns respect and boundaries with them now at this age. Only let him around them supervised, especially as hes really small and is going to stay small. Let him fully develop before neutering too (if your thinking about it). For small dogs, maturity happens around 1 years old.
The puppy stage is usually the hardest, buts its sooo worth it!! I think you got lucky though -- he doesnt seem like the craziest lol!!

  • @erintrembowski6989
    @erintrembowski6989 หลายเดือนก่อน

As an owner of a very active and well-behaved GSP (german shorthaired pointer) here are my tips:
    1. Potty train him as fast as possible. My dog went outside at least 15 times daily if not more. If my dog did pee (by accident) we would take her to the pee spot and tell her with a confident "NO", that way she knew she did something bad/wrong. So this is definitly number 1
    2. Teach him basic commands and obedience. My dog never went to obedience nor socialization classes because I have watched multiple videos about it and taught her myself. When we got her (in 2020), a lot of other people in our neighbourhood also got puppies (or rescues) so (once vaccinated) she socialized with them (as long as they too were friendly). With obedience, I practiced with her at least 3 times daily. I was a bit strict (not mean or agressive) but my methods worked.
    3. RECALLS! This is so so so important. I have met lots of people who have seen my dog off leash and asked me how I trained her to come back. The best way to teach your dog to come back to you is get ham or something very tasty (small treats) and put it in a small ziploc bag. When you call your dog and he comes back to you, reward him with the tasty treat. Try to repeat a few times so that he understands what the recall means. I know it might be scary to let him off leash at first but try doing this in an enclosed area/park or inside your house. And then when your ready, go on a walk. I recommend somewhere as far away from the road as possible.
    5. Finally, please, please try to teach Rocket to not bark whenever he wants to. My dog does bark sometimes but mainly in playtime with her dog friends and whenever I throw her a ball or stick. There are some stupid dogs (I am saying this bc it true unfortunately) who will bark at my dog thru the window or while passing me and my dog. This is very annoying. My dog ignores those dogs. Some owners fail to teach this and then it becomes extremely tiring (your ears will kill you for this).
So that's the main 5 I wanted to tell you!
Love your channel btw, huge fan
    XOXO

Rocket in the car making little noises like "I want my mummy and friends" Aww bless him, The most heart warming bit was when Harlow was talking to him softly and gently to make him feel like he's alright.
Rocket has the best home ever!

WELCOME ROCKET!!!! Such an adorable name and pup. Some tips for you:
Make sure to have playtime (go out with rocket play with his toys/tug a war)
When training say yes when you give them then treat to let rocket know that he's done what he was asked to do
    At least 1 walk everyday
Once he has had all is vaccines then maybe go to puppy training classes/Puppy play areas/days
    Treats:
Waggs is such a good treat brand for puppies.
    Bakers
    Pedigree
(You can get all of these at pets at home)
Dental sticks are amazing too we get dentallife again at pets at home.
I have a dog and we used all of those. I hope this helps. Can't wait to see rocket in many more upcoming videos. ❤❤❤❤ Love you all so much!

    Some top tips:
1.At 8 weeks, when you are supposed to get him (like you did!), you walk him 10 minutes for like 2-3 times a day. Then add 10 more minutes to that time each week!
    2. Let him rest, don't walk too much with him at first when he is growing, it can hurt him
3.Research about his breed, how to pick him up, and just puppies/dogs in general
    4. Socialize him with people dogs and other animals, plus just introduce him to other things
    5. Walk him at least three times a day
    6. Be patient with him, puppies need time to train, plus get used to things
    7. Train him
    8. Give him enough attention.
    9. When he sleeps, leave him
    10. Don't bathe him too much (only when he really stinks, or just don't) there are oils and stuff on his skin that help him, and bathing may/will wash it away!
Hope this helps! Love your videos!❤

congrats on the new puppy guys! Keep up with the brilliant work/videos. As a dog owner of 7 years here is some advice for you guys!!
Take him to have as many new experiences as possible to get him used to the outside world and make him grow up to be a really chilled out dog. Also puppy pads sometimes teach them to wee on soft things, like carpets, so it's better to just keep taking him outside every 30 mins. Crates are really useful for giving him his own safe space when he get's over exited or when he is left at home. Obviously lots of love and cuddles.
Good luck with Rocket and good hopes!!

Congratulations on your new puppy he is gorgeous iv got some tips that you might find useful from my experience with having dogs all my life.
    1. Make sure the first few times he is in the car are enjoyable and fun because you don't want one of the first car journeys to be to the vets .
    2. Make sure playing tuggy is limited as he might think everything is a tuggy which is a nightmare .
    3. Kong's are amazing much better than Licky pads in my experience as it last longer because they have to work to get the reward . Licky pads are good for bathing or showering your dog or a quick distraction .
    4. Definitely take him to puppy classes it will socialize him and then he wont be aggressive with other dogs on walks because he wont be as scared .
    5. When he gets older and starts teething if he starts mouthing you guys swap him biting you for a toy instead , then he will get bored and wont want to bite if he dose start biting when he is teething .
6.treats are great for rewards on walks
    7. dry food is better for them than wet food and you don't need to spend loads on his food just make sure it has what he requires .
i hope you have lots of lovely adventures with your new puppy .
    good luck

    Some tips/
1- socialising, your dog is a extreme part of training, for example, taking them to dog, friendly restaurants, going to a trainer who allows other dogs to be with your dog while doing training, or even asking your trainer for help with socialising.
2- Cesar Milan is an amazing dog trainer on TH-cam, I would recommend going to watch his videos.
3- some training, your dog needs to have horses is heel manners, gentleness, and has to listen to you at all times, so if you are wondering what heel means, go look it up on TH-cam and try to train your dog. It’s crucial, especially on walks for your dog to heel , it’s just good manners and not too much struggle to walk your dog.
4- now onto pandas, pops, clouds and rolo boy, so teaching your dog to heal around. Your horses is very crucial because it will teach him manners and respect around the horses without looking for trouble like nipping or trying to jump onto the horses.

I own 2 dachshunds, please do not follow Cesar Milan’s method it’s not a positive reinforcement training style. It’s forceful and outdated. Dachshunds can be stubborn buggers they need routine and clear rules. Lots of positive reinforcement from day 1 is what cracks it. Consistency with going out in all weathers and just general exposure to day to day life and noises to reduce possibilities of reactivity. There are many qualified behaviourist around, Cesar Milan definitely isn’t one of them! Good luck with your new pup 🐶

I got a puppy this Christmas! Something I would say is to definitely socialize your dog so that they aren’t scared of other dogs! Also make sure you train it early! Bye Harlow and Chelsea! Best wishes!!❤❤
