Each of the dance moves represents one of the classic movie monsters. Arms out (Frankenstein), Arms at sides like claws (Wolfman howling at the moon), Arm across chest (Dracula's cape), and arms crossed (Mummy wrapped in bandages). And each dance move gets more elaborate as the song progresses

Haha I think all those Nuke's videos has trained you to look for "bodies" hahaha. When I first saw this I didn't notice ahe was there until she screamed. I was too busy looking at all the Geoffs especially the wolfman. The wolfman had ballroom moves and Igor was flossing at the end. Just wayyyyy too entertaining
I have been showing my age everywhere. I first saw and heard The Monster Mash on Dick Clark's "American Bandstand" back in the '60s. Love what Geoff has done to make it his own and even more fun. Props to Kathy his wife for being the screaming dead woman he dances off with. Kathy also did all the makeup. Also Props to Geoff's amazing choreographer for having Geoff busting his moves. Have already placed this in my favorites list for Halloween along with his Headless Horsemen.
I just watched the Dick Clark clip for the original on YT today to show my "work daughter [25]" the difference between it and Geoff's version. She is a newbie to the VP/Geoff Castellucci rabbit hole. Muahahahaha!!

The dancers were Drac, the Wolfman, and a zombie. So yes, the middle one was a "dog". 😃
The zombie Geoff at the end was flossing. Cracks me up everytime.
Loved this reaction! If you want more dancing Geoff, you need to see Boybands in 5 Minutes. They all dance and it’s amazing. 💜🎃💜
They're hilarious. Also good is the choreography in "Cheerleader".
The backup Geoffs left to right are Dracula, Wolfman (you see him scratching at fleas several times), and Frankenstein's Monster. The same 3 classic monsters are represented in the repeating choreography- first the Frankenstein straight-armed strangle, then Wolfman posing (and then swiping) with his claws, and then Dracula doing the bit where you cover your face with your cloak. The reason their dance looks so creepy and jerky is that they were filmed dancing in slow motion and then sped back up.
That's actually really cool.
So if the straight arm strangle is the Frank and Stein and the clause for the wolfman are down by his hips and the part where you cover your face with the cloak for Dracula or just a hug after though after the cloak part?
Unless you'er really paying attention you won't have seen Geoff monster on the right doing the Floss. So funny.

The choreography with every Geoff is fantastic. He has to hit properly and on the same beat every time. I love this so much.
I have a huge new rabbit hole for you you're going to love! You know that Layne and Tony Wakim (former VoicePlay member) own PattyCake Productions and do a lot of Geoff's solo work plus that of VoicePlay. Did you know that they also have videos and songs they've not only put together under their "label" but have also written the songs for? And performed in the videos? They did a Halloween video called Bump In the Night and it's awesome! Most definitely worthy of VoicePlay! The intro to it is the backstory but they both sing and dance in it--in costume. It's got all the major bad guys in it. PattyCake Productions is on TH-cam and they've done a lot of series videos about alternate Disney storylines including Villain's Lair and Princess Academy. Emoni Wilkins (The Bones, Bubble Yum) plays Ursula in the second season of Villain's Lair and is fantastic as always. They are one song musical episodes that tell a larger story. The first season has eight episodes and the second season just started. It's a great way to see and hear more of Layne because he so often stays behind the scenes. You won't regret checking it out!

Monster Geoff on the right flossing towards the end kills me every time XD And yes, that was Geoff's wife Kathy. If you watch closely throughout the video you can see her jump when he hits some of those really deep notes. This whole thing was amazing! Fantastic reaction Kaz! Hope Sarah gets to enjoy it too.

some really cool hip movements. Low notes what can you say!. 🤔 This was absolutely magical. Of course your reactions are always the best. I forgot the deadpan look he gives the camera at the beginning. Fits right in.
The young lady is indeed his wife, the talented and very good sport that she is. Also IF I am right, the 3 Geoff's are a vampire/ Dracula, a were wolf/wolfman, and either Frankenstein's monster or Igor....(although I lean towards the monster since the lyrics talk about his monster rising from the lab table etc....)
Also IF the comments on his video are to be believed this is actually the second version of this video. (apparently the 1st version was too horror oriented for what Geoff wanted) so... he filmed all that choreography twice!
I swear these acappella videos are next level for sure.

The Geoff to the far right was Frankenstein's Monster. The Geoff next to that was The Wolfman. Then of course Dracula and then Doctor Frankenstein himself. Then, the awesome Bride of Frankenstein.

Kaz, I am so happy you did this! It has quickly become my favorite Halloween song for the season. I had to watch the video like 5x to catch everything. Also, the person in the corner is Kathy, Geoff's wife. She did all the makeup for the video and she also makes an appearance in Voice Play's Daddy Sang Bass video. Great reaction!

This is one of those pieces have to watch a few times to catch ALL of the nuances.
The left Geoff (vampire) is flossing his teeth,
The right Geoff (Igor?) is doing the floss dance
The middle Geoff (wolfman) is scratching at his hair
Clearly one sees that Geoff was a 'pop' dancer in his youth.
Can see him doing the popping while dancing which helps to create the animated look.
The three break their necks with the sounds and singing backgrounds are at different angles.
The one supposedly broke his hip while swaying
The right end being Igor his hands & neck aren't in alignment at times
Kathy lying on the couch reacts (twitches) when Geoff hits the low notes.
Something happened that the original video got messed up.
Geoff had a professional makeup artist that had him in makeup in great detail for the wolfman, vampire & Igor. Because last minute, they couldn't get him back.
It was last minute to get it out for the deadline. Kathy (his wife) did the makeup for all of his characters. She also did the scream & danced with him. If didn't know supposed to be elaborate, it was a good job.
At first, because I had heard the original numerous times over the years, it was difficult for me to get that melody & accompaniment out of my head. Then watching the movements it got easier as if was a totally different song. (FYI: Unsure if you knew Geoff worked at Disney & Universal growing up in Orlando area).
There isn't anything new to recommend, except for a short they did recently. If you haven't watched it, it's "that's what friends are for" from the old animated jungle book. They just do the ending, but it's awesome. Not a request for a reaction because of how short it is, but just a really fun listen. If you haven't watched it, enjoy.

Yep, that was Kathy, Geoff's wife. She did the makeup in this video, after the first day's shoot had to be scrapped (Geoff: We missed the mark, and accidentally shot a horror film) and they couldn't reschedule with the makeup artist.
