Ooooooooh boy do I have the games for you. They've been covered here before, but just in case you or someone else hasn't seen Jareds videos on them...
Yooka-Laylee is the spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie. I HIGHLY advise buying it. It's god-tier, and I'm EXTREMELY picky on my videogames, especially ones people claim will scratch that itch I have from childhood.
      Best part?
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, the sequel, is a Donkey Kong Country-esque game! It feels a little floaty-er than DKC to me though... Kind of like DKC mixed with Raymans sidescrollers.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is a great series you might enjoy, it was also orginally released for the PS2 but the whole series was ported to Steam a few years ago.
1-3 are all 3D platformers, 4 is a 2D platformer and goes more of a Rayman Legends style way which isn't necessairly that bad, but definitely not what you might be looking for particularly after playing the first three games.

I am SO on-board for a game recommendations show. There's so much potential, both for people to discover new games, AND for people to see games that they've played get platformed.
And speaking of platforming, I'll give a recommendation of my own: Creepy Castle is pretty neat. Its combat system involves microgames a'la Warioware, and its aesthetic reminds me of old microcomputers. If you liked Undertale, you'll probably enjoy Creepy Castle.

I loved Kena. Very pretty game. And yes, I completed it.
If you want one that's more like Breath of the Wild in terms of exploration and puzzle solving, I also really liked Immortals Fenyx Rising.

Elden ring is also a game you’ll love if you liked breath of the wild. Before anyone says it yes it’s a fromsoft title but don’t let that discourage you. The hands off approach breath of the wild had is even more hands off, combat is spectacular, the sense of exploration and accomplishment is there, if you wanted a souls like breath of the wild elden ring is definitely your game

I just saw the subscriber count and realized it’s only at 1.5 million subs, not that that’s small at all, but I always pictured the Completionist as a cornerstone TH-cam channel like Game Theory. Always thought there were like 5 million subscribers because I just like never checked to see and I was shocked at how far off I was

I love this show idea. A game I really enjoyed and would love to see recommendations based on is Astro's Playroom. I know it was designed mainly to show off the PS5 controller but 100% completing it was so much fun that I got the VR Astro game to play sometime this year.

Oh my gosh, you mentioned Lil Gator Game. Oh it's so good and can't wait for full release. I don't follow streams or anything like that, from anyone, and I don't think you've made an episode on it but you should check out Tunic. Old school zelda, so good.
