Cool truck bro Glad you got it for MSRP and didn't get fucked like a lot of people do! I've always wanted a Tacoma finally got my 4x4 off-road 6-speed manual transmission. I got it for towing a little trailer 5X10 probably 3000 lb at the most. I want to know how that other Tacoma does with 5000 plus pounds lol congrats again
Thank you! We were pretty stoked to land the new taco. Congrats on your new truck! We would’ve loved a manual but honestly as much towing as I do sometimes it’s nice not having to deal with that in traffic lol. So both of our Tacomas tow decent. To anyone that has never driven a small truck towing they think it’s awful lol but it’s all we know so it doesn’t bother us. Just have to remember to stop sooner and you obviously don’t have the acceleration that a bigger truck would have. You will definitely feel the trailer behind you as well. With our older Taco we added air bags in the rear which helped level the truck out. We don’t want to do that on the new one being that it’ll eventually be our overlander build. Hope that helps!
@@FRS2K hell yeah that's cool bro! I know what you mean about dealing with the manual in traffic Phoenix ain't like it used to be it's full of people now 🤦 that will be fun doing an overland build make sure you make your rear suspension strong enough to support all the weight. I just went out there & looked, it said my truck only holds 945 lb including all cargo & passengers I'm like damn that's pretty low! & yeah you're right you can feel the trailer back there you just got to wind that fucker up & get it going lol... When I pulled the trailer home (just bought it) the truck only had like 700 miles on it & I had just done my 1st oil change at 545 miles so I figured it's okay to start pulling a trailer maybe a little early but what are you going to do? Your truck looks good all blacked out, mine is the Blue crush metallic 🎨 I put the tonneau cover on the 🔙 🛏️.. mine is the all basic package doesn't even have the sensors in the rear bumper 😂. Did come with mud flaps, bed lights, side steps & all weather floor mats. + I put some Carhartt seat covers on the front keeping it in good condition.
Mine was actually a 2003 with the factory five speed transmission. I would love to have a Is350 f sport as a daily. Dealership is always going to give you the least amount of money for your car. If you don’t have to sell it asap I would do it private party so you can get a little more for it
More like a larger Subaru Baja lol. Better than nothing at all but it’s not a permanent thing. We will be doing more of an overland style in the future.
Saw your 2nd gen driving around btown last night, you must've decided to keep it. Pretty sweet ride.
Thank you! And yes we did for at least the winter
Ordered mine earlier this month! Can't wait
That's awesome! Hope you don't have to wait too long for it!
Congrats dude! U will b happy with your Tacoma!
Please can you tell me how to deal with them without markup in CA so expensive markup

What was msrp?
It ended up being just shy of $55k after taxes and all that fun stuff. The Taco also has some dealer installed options that were about $1k of that.
@@FRS2K I'm looking at one for about 57k after taxes with dealer options as well. Thanks for replying!
Absolutely! Hopefully you’re able to get it!
@@FRS2K I ordered it already. Just gave a deposit. Thanks!
You’re going to miss that 2nd gen. I loved mine. Aside from interior it was better than my 3rd gen in my opinion.
So far we love it other than less displacement, shorter bed and the transmission sucks. Every other aspect is a huge improvement.
And the 3rd Gen will be better than the upcoming 4th Gen. Mark my word they will miss that V6
There are 3 things we don’t like about the 3rd gen over the 2nd gen.
1. The 5ft bed
2. Transmission
3. Less torque with the 3.5 down low
Far more money in vehicles than in the house, eh?
No point in throwing more money away when we plan on moving out of state in less than a year lol
How did you get it at msrp?
Just luck honestly. Our local dealership doesn’t do mark ups and we just hit it right when they miraculously had one on the lot
What year was your IS300? I wanted to sell my 2016 IS350 get a Tacoma also. Not sure how much they will give me for my Lexus. Hit like 150k on it 😂

So the 3rd generation sucks?
A little late to respond but we love our 3rd Gen. Far from perfect but they are great trucks.
Congratulations, except the roof rack makes it look like a Subaru outback
