I solved the pop socket problem for my kindle differently. I have a leather sleeve to slide my kindle into. so I simply glued the pop socket onto the back of my kindle! I always have it there and the case will not annoy me while reading. The sleeve doesnt care if the socket is there or not. One more thing: the perfect position for the pop socket is in the lower third of the kindle.
Nice! I was optimizing for a pop socket I had already made into a MagSafe accessory. 😊 Next time, I’ll try the lower third-I put it in the middle because that’s where it is on the phone.
Someone else did this too! I have an Android and used a cheap steel ring to add magsafe to my phone case. I've done it to my families' phone cases and now my Kindle. It's such a simple and versatile ecosystem for little things.
It is! I think I’ve got four MagSafe tripod mounts now.
Kindles are actually pretty sturdy and scratch resistant. I ditched my case and loved using the Kindle again. Then I stuck a Pop Socket on the back. It’s a gamechanger.
I just put a popsocket to the back of my kindle and iPad mini. Also stuck a couple popsocket mounts to the side of my beside table. So I can just reach over and dock my handhelds when done at night. ...wish I'd considered Magnetic pop socket attachments. I might redo my setup using this idea. Thanks! And I share your excitement. Lol.
I have the pop socket MagSafe wallet and I LOVE it. It’s purple, just like my phone and I cage to have a pop socket and a MagSafe wallet at the exact same time. It was kind of expensive though.
If you lay the cover ontop of the Magnet on the back of the case, is the pop socket magnet strong enough through the case? Did you try it and I missed it? If so - sorry, but if not could you let me know please :)
So, after using this for several months, what's the verdict? Is it annoying to have the flap dangling?
A little, but not too bad. It’s not hard to find a way to rest it so that I don’t notice it.
