Successful plating method and airbrush settings (rechargeable too!)

- You can use ``Bone Alum'' to paint the plating, but I had a lot of failures at first, so I put together a video showing the stable painting method and airbrush/compressor settings that I found from my own experience. We also recorded a demonstration using the rechargeable airbrush that we introduced the other day.
As a bonus, Z'Gok is also color plated lol
I hope this will give you some hints for those who can't play Bone Alm well.

フィニッシュクリアでコートすれば、触ってもマスキングして剥がしてもも大丈夫でした。
ズゴックの黒下地が滅茶苦茶綺麗に出来てたのが、
凄く印象的でした✨
あそこまで綺麗に出来上がっていたら、ミラー完成は決まったのも同然だなぁと、素直に思いました✨

試しにカラーコートしたスプーンにマスキングを貼って、全力でひっぺがしても無傷でしたw

難しい塗料のテクニック動画はありがたいです。これならメッキキットの改造に挑戦する人も増えるかも。
金色や銅色は百式やアカツキなどのメッキのキットに比べるとちょっと暗めに見えますが実際はどうですか？
そうですね。メッキとは少し違うので若干くらいと思います。
メッキというより鏡、という印象です。
ボーンミラー系Ⅱになって本当キレイに仕上がるようになったから楽しいですよね

Bone alum is reasonably durable and does not oxidize.
The paint film is strong and doesn't come off when you touch it, but I get the impression that it's not as strong as lacquer.

ガイアクリアーとかでも代用出来ますか？
ボーンペイントのメッキ調塗料は、侵食の少ない専用のフィニッシュクリアが成功しやすいと思います。
ただ、ボーンアルムに対してはガイアのクリア塗料でも、砂吹き→ウェットに塗れば成功することもあります。
アルムだけでなくミラーも同じ感覚で出来るかな？
ミラーⅡを試した感じだと同じ感じで出来ました。
ピンクはどの塗料を使っているのでしょうか？
こちらは、フィニッシュクリアレッドに、フィニッシュクリア（透明）を混ぜて薄めたものになりますー。

このズゴックを塗装するのにどのくらいボーンアルムを消費しましたでしょうか？
かなり長時間吹かないとメッキが乗ってこないように見えたのでかなり消費が激しそうにお見受けします。
正確な量はわからないのですが、ボーンアルム1本とかは使わないです。0.2mm口径＋吹く量を絞っていると意外と減らないですね。また、慣れてくると使っているエアブラシの限界まで近づいて吹けるようになり、ますます短時間で出来るようになります。
無茶苦茶かっこいい 自衛隊カラーとかできるのかな?2色は無理なのかな?

In order to make it into a mirror state, it must be made into a mirror surface during the first Under Black II.
First, check that the mirror surface of Under Black II has been created.
If the surface is not mirror-like, there may be not enough paint or you may be painting on a rough surface.
If Under Black II has a mirror surface, but Bone Alm does not, please reply again.

My method is to mix 8 parts of gloss black (40ml) with 3 parts of gloss varnish (15ml) diluted with a slow-drying thinner（Because I couldn't buy the Born piant Under Black II in my country）. I usi an Iwata HPCS at 15psi pressure for wet spraying, it will create a very shiny black surface. After that, spraying with chrome color will yield very good results.😊Hope it will help.
@@Dr.Schlange I am able to get the mirror chrome look, but I have a hard time keeping that mirror look when I put a clear red topcoat . Instead of mirror red plating look, it just becomes red candy look. Any advice?
@@bionicwiener Perhaps you could try spraying a layer of E7-Color S-02 Chrome Sealer as protection after completing the mirror finish, and then spray a clear coat after it dries. This is the best gloss paint for chrome colors that I have seen so far.
The other choices are Microsacle Micro Gloss or AV polyurethane Varnish.I tested these two gloss varnishes the day before yesterday, and the effect was excellent after diluting them in a 1:1 ratio, with very little impact on the mirror effect (but Micro Gloss is much better than AV Polyurethane).
I tried painting Mr.color C47 Clear Red on the GAIA GP-08 Premium Mirror Chrome coated with Microscale Micro Gloss,and I also tried painting clear red on GAIA GP-08 coat directly last night, both effect are perfect,and it had almost no impact on the mirror coat.
