@@forestguardian0309 the only time i remember he was involved in the design of an outfit was for the mirror stage for the WT, and we know that because the stylist said so but when someone asked directly at him he said he didn't know anything and was confused so.... Another thing is that the rest of mx have said he alter his own clothes that use daily but not for stage, the only clothing he officially designed was the padded jacket for mx and staff but maybe I'm missing something

I'm seeing him having a big solo career. He's provocative but in the sexiest way ever. This style of music suits his vibe, if I could describe it like that.
Also, for "Losing you" it's an interesting ballad, more like an emotional confession. It's quite meaningful bc there's a connection with the fans.

Some of the elements of the choreography remind me of classic bodybuilding poses. It’s a perfect fit for him considering just how huge he is. Specifically in the prechorus

AnabelStars exactly. The longer, more fluid motions allow him to show off his physique in a very subtle (as subtle as you can be when you’re that muscular) while staying poised and controlled. It’s really well done.

So the thing with the snake really ties in with his whole "comeback" to the industry. If you pay attention to his coin, on one side it's the ouroboros snake (which symbolizes infinity and rebirth) and the other is tyche (the goddess of fate/chance as well as prosperity). So the snake going from black to white means he's shedding the past and starting anew, he was "reborn" when he got a second chance with his career and he's leaving the rest up to fate. There's a lot of symbolism in both his videos, even at the beginning of Losing You there's a scene where he's being suspended from the ceiling, symbolizing the Major Arcana the Hanged Man which represents sacrifice, letting go and a new perspective which is a great metaphor considering what Wonho went through with leaving the group to protect Monsta X.
Listen, I never knew this man existed until I saw clips of his video on Tik Tok! After watching Open Minds I am now a new fan of Wonho! I was the same about Losing You. I’m not a big fan of ballads but Wonho made me want to listen to more of him! I did not regret it, Losing You is a beautiful song with a beautiful meaning. Learning he wrote the song for MonstaX fans and some say for the MonstaX members, makes it that much more heart wrenching! I will be following Wonho very closely!
He is such a precious soul and so talented! I'm so glad you found him 🤗💓us monbebes fought so long for him and it eas worth it!

I don't think it's that certain idols "aren't talented enough" and that's why they never go on to have a solo career after leaving the group/disbanding. It's just that they don't fit Korean beauty standards as much as others. There COUNTLESS idols who went on to become the most popular member of their group and made a solo career out of acting or commercials simply because of their face. A prime example: Astro was saved as a group because Koreans like Eunwoo's face and that was his ticket into acting. The group was in danger of disbandment but Eunwoo brought popularity back into the group by appearing in a drama that did well. Don't get me wrong, he did well in acting jobs, but he never would've had the chance had he not been a perfect fit of the standard of an "actor's face". Does that mean Astro aren't talented enough to stay active as a group or stand on their own? Of course not, they even proved to be able to do well in other solo projects out of Astro.

I haven't seen or heard of anyone talking or mention the Image on the coin of the snakes that Wonho tosses is a Ouroboros - an Egyptian or Greek symbol of a serpent eating its own tail represents wholeness or Infinity and also the cycle of Life Death and Rebirth, I was curious cuz i recognized it from a movie of my childhood for those that are old enough - The Neverending Story the necklace Atreyu has, just another layer of symbolizim that they put into the MV
Nope, It was the Greek goddess Tyche who represents chance, fate and is a capricious dispenser of good and ill fortune. You can clearly see the name and the image of the goddess at 00:32 of the MV!

The songwriting -- the melodies, the sensitivity to write the most beautiful honest lyrics that make you smile, cry or stir the loins. It's the extreme duality that is so attractive. It would be an interesting collab if ever because they both have something in common, stage presence. They stand out in a group. And if Wonho writes the song... well...

When I watched it the first time, I couldn’t get over the juxtaposition of him having this huge bodybuilder body and the elegant way he moves. Even the details of him holding his fingertips delicately when he finishes his dance poses. Just the fem characteristics he has, but jammed into this hyper masculine body. I loved it from beginning to end. And the song is so catchy.

Wonho truly is amazing! He really does have that it power. You honestly nailed what I want to say but I’m not smart enough at all to illustrate that. Wonho when he was in MX and was center you can feel his charisma through the screen. Seeing them in person honestly cemented that for me. I also agreed with you that Wonho has that potential to go back to MX. I still see that happening but yet he’ll maintain that solo career too. I also love that bass too. I wanted to know what your thought was of Losing You? Did you listen to the entire album? If you did what song did you like? I’m so excited for his career! I have a strong feeling you'll like "Losing You". Yes it's a slower song but the melody is so good and so are the lyrics. the MV editing and set is more simple than open mind but they did it so well and there's a lot of hidden messages.

i would definitely put myself in the “hates ballads” camp, mostly bc i’m too soft and will always end up crying, which happened with Losing You so it’s not something i would listen to often. the rest of the ep is divine though! highly recommend

BTOB is transcendental in ballads they have a certain charisma in their voices and personalities that definitely transcends into their tracks, it's impossible not to love them as a whole 💗 also WONHO comeback has gotta be one of the few good things to happen this year, we fought hard for him and it was worth it, Losing You is personal, its a message for his bros, for the fans and those who supported him, the whole album is *chef's kiss* good to listen too. Open Mind Mv is a masterpiece into editing, really love the symbolic elements he put into it, and yeah he sure shows his abs the best he can and he hits the gym on a constant basis but then again the thing about his charisma in stage and mvs is the duality that he has from such a charismatic sexy guy with an awesome vocal voice to be a shy and modest nice guy xD impossible not to like him when he is indeed a whole package to inspire anyone on how to fight for his dreams. Hope he can keep up or better step up from this because with his will power anything is possible

I gotta admit that at first I was super afraid as well that Starship would sell him cheap and that his solo debut would flop. But holy, moly every part of this debut is super well done. The music fits him extremely well, the choreo is great, the mv is amazing and definitely not a cheap production. I'm really glad that it all went so well because after this debut I've lost any worries I had that he couldn't make it alone. He will be stronger than ever! And I'm all here for it

Its actually funny because i KNEW Pd would like Wonho’s songs.... in prev MX listening parties, he loved the Wonho composed songs apart from the other MX songs. Hope you can do a listening party for his whole album too!
this debut was PHENOMENAL. the duality of the song and the visuals is really well balanced. and your comment on the elevator stuff really got me thinking about the message of this music video. personally I feel like this song is like a clap back at the ppl that wronged him, we see here that he depicts himself as a criminal but he kinda break free at the end. and all the elevators man, the only way his is solo career is going is UP. he has a "stage presence" and charisma that really captivates ppl when he performs. older fans knew how much potential this man has when he was in the group, but he always prioritize showcasing his fellow members before himself so it may come as a surprise how much he shines on his own. I'm very proud of our muscle baby😭.

You are right when you said not all idols can go solo and succeed no matter how talented they are. They need the X factor which is a strong Charisma. It makes them stand out. There are so many great songwriters, great dancers, great singers in kpop. Put that all together in one person who has the charisma, visuals and body of a Greek god and baaamm!!! WONHO!!! His album is a masterpiece, his 2nd album will be even better. He's just getting started.

edit: I'm so proud of Wonho for being so tough of mind and will that he came back so triumphantly from the attempt of those two petty little insignificant people who tried to ruin his career. Keeping an open mind in the face of those charges is the right response for onlookers to the whole so-called "scandal".

when you started talking abt wonho's potential as a solo artist i was really touched, ive always felt the same way tho. like wonho has always been talented, he sings well, dances well, is full of charisma and hes so handsome like fr... he literally has it all and thats why he takes the center position in almost every monsta x song, in fact out of all the members i think hes probs taken the center the most, hes starts and ends so many songs and even gets so many parts in the chorus but he never really showed us his full potential as he never really released anything solo unlike the other members who had covers or dance videos etc. anyways after he left i had hope that he would solo debut, cause i knew he could solo debut, hes good enough to do so and now he finally has its just made me so happy, he really shines as a solo and the song is just so different compared to mx title tracks since i guess they usually stick with what theyre strong with (like hard hitting kinda music) and thats cool but i guess for me i do wish to see mx try something young, fresh and kinda fun like this for a title track, so for wonho to go with this for his debut was just refreshing and everything i ever wanted, i really love open mind
I think Wonho really found his style with this solo, his involvement with MX will always be amazing and devastating that he had to left, but you can see his range so well in these two videos and in his album too - he’s going to go far I can tell

even if you don't film a reaction to "losing you" i highly recommend listening to it and watching the mv. the mv is pretty plain but i think it lends to the whole meaning behind the song, which can be taken in multiple ways. his voice in the song is worth a listen for sure.

What I like about this song is that Wonho has a very interesting attitude, he looks very sexy but on the same time he looks also mysterious and serious which is interesting, it's not too much not too less, I like a lot his white jacket he looks good in that in the helevator it looks elegant but also mysterious this can be a very good advertising there are many elements in this MV, it's like he is trying to say: '' I know I look like a bad guy but I'm not actually, open your mind and you'll find what is inside - his soul'' this song has two meanings I guess.
Absolutely loved this song and mv, I watched it when it premiered alone in my living room. I wish I recorded myself, because I was going through soo many emotions. Like happines, proud of him and I was constantly saying "stop that" and/or "put a damn shirt on or at least zip it all the way" jajajajja. Did not expect some aspects of this mv (in a good way, of course), but definitely so proud and happy for him. This song is constantly played when I am in my car no matter where I go.
