Pretty much what happend was that he got falsely accused of weed usage and driving without a liscense when he was younger. He himself chose to leave the group as to not cause any harm and as to not hurt any fans. He returned as a solo artist under Starships sister company as he decided not to rejoin Monsta X

Wonho had to leave MX and start a solo career cause of some baseless allegations. We, as Monbebe, hope to see him and MX reunite. This is our goal but we still support his solo stuff, we worked hard to give him a chance as an artist so our next step is to put him back where he belongs. The situation still feels like an open wound and it is hard to make other people understand why we want to achieve that goal but I am happy you liked him and his MV. He is one of the nicest humans out there, he truly is.
