It’s strange seeing someone else playing Daniel Boone other than Fess Parker. He was such a great lead actor for historic figures, I guess he had to have a role that really made its mark. Thanks for sharing this old Disney flick, from back when Disney was still decent and not woke and ruined by identity politics and rebellion.
..that is mostly later..because of TVs Fess Parker..although Boone is portrayed in contemporary paintings with both wide brimed plainsman/Quaker hat..and fur hunting cap..
That little boy was hard headed his dad should have whipped his behind. He would not have disobeyed, his mother and father by leaving the post to go looking for a gun, He was told by both of them not to because he could lead the back to them, he didn't care about anything except that gun.
@@keepingwaltindisney Yes, your copies are from VHS, mine are from VHS and I have another set as shown on TDC from the Legends & Heroes series.... if interested? Pretty much the same except for TDC screen bug in lower right hand
enjoyed watching Daniel boon ,would have like to continue watching more parts

Closer in height to the real Daniel Boone
I also like the song from Fess Parker's show better.
…Daniel lost two sons and a brother to Indians… amazing part of history
This is the show I remember .Walt Disney version.
Funny how Daniel Boone didn’t like wearing hats and the Coonskin Cap became his thing in later legend

Cool
The white man’s version of what happened; “the invaders were the good guys”. I would love to hear this story from the natives point of view.
Kain-tuck.
Save it
45:15...that's gotta hurt...

If you want to find out who the good guys were read about the trail of tears.

Are you interested in the Disney Channel's copies of this from L&H?
Can you elaborate a bit? I'm not sure what L&H is. I do have VHS copies of this series...

This might not be a popular opinion but I prefer Dewey Martin over Fess Parker in this role. Great physique, good actor, perfect for the role.
