That one did make me work for it haha! But it was worth it! I’m really enjoying the puppy pool for my spin box, the sides aren’t so high but I do have to stand on a stool in order to make sure the camera is in frame 🤣 .. definitely worth it though as I can go bigger now 😃🤗💜

It's awesome! The puppy pool i bought was 12 inches deep.. I'm tall but was hard for me to work with in there..I added cups and a board on top of the cups that brought it up about 5 inches which really helped.. and I find it still deep enough to save your space from getting slaughtered with paint.. beautiful piece once again
Oh nice I’m glad you were able to adjust it to your liking! My other spinner box the sides were way too deep for me as it sat low in there but now with the puppy pool because it’s so big and floppy it doesn’t all fit on the table only the center and the sides kind of slouch down a little which helps me and still saves the area as well. The adjustments we have to make in the name of art but it’s worth it I say! 😃😃💜💜
I love all them little cells especially like kind of in the middle where there are blue and pink ones, it reminds me of cotton candy. I think it will be cool to do like a whole piece like that! I love all your artwork and this one is just as beautiful, good job girl. It is great alright! That last swipe with the Blick tool you had it gliding over the paint. The earlier swipes kinda dug into the pillow but you did a great job!

I watched one video where the artist had taken to bottom out of the puppy pool and then could easily fold one panel over the other and make it the size she wanted. She simply put under the puppy pool the usual protective pads that she always uses. She also cut one panel so she could have an opening to work on it and then closed it together while spinning, plus it gave her more size options. That way you wouldn't need a stool. I thought it was really clever. I really think this is a beautiful piece. I loved the bubble type cells.
I'm so happy you recognized that dragon! From the time you added that second small swipe I could see his head and was worried you hadn't and would sp8n him off! Prettiest cells I've ever seen so you can guess what my next colours are going to be 😂 I just hope my paint brands behave in the same way! 👏🤗💕
Oh awesome Dianne, totally give these colors a go! I didn’t see the dragon until he was spun out but was so glad he appeared! I was trying to keep that red part from going over as I liked the contrast and then came the dragon! 😃🤗💜🐉💜
That is absolutely STUNNING!! What do you thin your pillow paint with? I've wanted to thin it before myself but I don't know what to thin it with and I don't want to ruin the paint by guessing.
Thanks so much Lynne! I don’t personally thin my pillow as I’ve never had to I just use different ones for different thicknesses but that’s just me. I know to thin pillows people have used the GAC 800 and/or US floetrol, either one or both so maybe give that a go 🤗💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer this was my question also. I just opened a can of Behr eggshell 2050 paint & primer (don’t ask me why I ended up with this!). I stuck a stir stick in it and it didn’t move - arrrgh! Being new can be SO frustrating! Even with the sheleeart class it seems I hit roadblocks 10 times a day and keep buying different products which is equally frustrating and extremely expensive. Pour, pour me 🤣😂🤣 still have my sense of humor.
@@nanceo6351 Ohh I totally get those frustrations! Back when I took the class when it first came out there was no admin team so it was a figure it out yourself kind of thing. Though the group was in its infancy everyone worked together to share something new they came up with. I've done a lot of trial and error in those 2 years so I definitely know those roadblocks and expense! Keeping a sense of humor about it definitely helps haha! .. it's all in the process and once it clicks, it's well worth it! :D

That pallet knife is large #15. They have a large set of knives and a small set. And the #’s from each set don’t duplicate, meaning the small #12 isn’t a small version of the large #12. That looks like a dragon with a red face and sunglasses. It’s gorgeous

Hi Matt 😃👋🏻 Welcome to my channel and thanks so much! The US floetrol can be finicky at times but it does work! I’ve recently gotten it to work with just the floetrol and Amsterdam paint, check out video #91, at a high ration 9 or 10:1.

I Dont get How you mix the colors? Except with floetrol? I barely get any cells in mine.. i use silicone oil, can u use too much? All Your canvas are so PRETTY! Can u mix the paint too thin? Or What am i doing wrong! Please help! 🥺😍😍
Thank you so much Kajsa 🤗 I don’t use silicone for the blooms technique for cells. I have a beginners tutorial if that will help you to understand a little better. There are also a number of mixing videos I have to give you an idea how I mix pouring mediums I use as well as paints. You can find them in the PM/Paint Mixing playlist. Also all of my painting videos at the beginning of each, you will find the specific paints and products used in images for that piece (also in description box below each video). Hope this helps 🤗
I dont seem to be able to blow out the colors right. Will you let me no what im doing wrong. The dryer doesn't seem to do what i want it to do and neither does the straw
Time and practice is what helped me with my blow. It took me a good 4-5 month until I was confident in mine. You want to blow your CA across your colors so it skims the top. Blowing to hard will bring up pillow cells and may stick your paint to the canvas. 😊
Your PM mix should not be white. Your pillow that you lay down first should be the white paint. Your PM mix is the untinted base paint mixed with the varnish. Similar to a traditional pouring medium (i.e Liquitex or Golden) it should dry as clear as possible so your colors shine through and not the actual medium. It shouldn’t be making your colors white.
Ahhh that would be why you are getting the white, you want base 3 not base 1. They aren’t the same Unfortunately. The paint people are trained for talking about the paint going on the wall so to them it is the same. You can totally use that paint base since it’s white as your pillow though see how it works for you 😊
TH-cam takes about 2-3 days to process so it can be changed to Spanish in the closed caption. All my other videos you can switch to close caption and then select your language. Brand new ones take a couple days for TH-cam to process and this was released this morning. Thank you! 🤗💜
Hmmm I’m not sure what’s available there .. I think Erica Hughes may have a cell activator recipe using Owatrol on her channel … another might be Amsterdam paint and water. I use the Australian floetrol and paint myself.

Soooo beautiful!! I actually see it as a double dragon. The ‘white’ in the middle of the bottom swipe, looks like a Chinese dragon head.

I'm so happy you recognized that dragon! From the time you added that second small swipe I could see his head and was worried you hadn't and would sp8n him off! Prettiest cells I've ever seen so you can guess what my next colours are going to be 😂 I just hope my paint brands behave in the same way! 👏🤗💕
Oh awesome Dianne, totally give these colors a go! I didn’t see the dragon until he was spun out but was so glad he appeared! I was trying to keep that red part from going over as I liked the contrast and then came the dragon! 😃🤗💜🐉💜

That is absolutely STUNNING!! What do you thin your pillow paint with? I've wanted to thin it before myself but I don't know what to thin it with and I don't want to ruin the paint by guessing.
Thanks so much Lynne! I don’t personally thin my pillow as I’ve never had to I just use different ones for different thicknesses but that’s just me. I know to thin pillows people have used the GAC 800 and/or US floetrol, either one or both so maybe give that a go 🤗💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer this was my question also. I just opened a can of Behr eggshell 2050 paint & primer (don’t ask me why I ended up with this!). I stuck a stir stick in it and it didn’t move - arrrgh! Being new can be SO frustrating! Even with the sheleeart class it seems I hit roadblocks 10 times a day and keep buying different products which is equally frustrating and extremely expensive. Pour, pour me 🤣😂🤣 still have my sense of humor.
@@nanceo6351 Ohh I totally get those frustrations! Back when I took the class when it first came out there was no admin team so it was a figure it out yourself kind of thing. Though the group was in its infancy everyone worked together to share something new they came up with. I've done a lot of trial and error in those 2 years so I definitely know those roadblocks and expense! Keeping a sense of humor about it definitely helps haha! .. it's all in the process and once it clicks, it's well worth it! :D

This is really pretty, Jodie. I saw the dragon before you said it. Rainbow Dragon surely is its name. Tell me, how many paintings do you think we have to do before we get tired of looking at cells? I can't understand it. More than 2 years painting and I still get a thrill when I see them.
Boy I tell ya Marlene I absolutely get giddy when those cells pop up and it’s about 2 1/2 years for me with fluid art so I don’t think it’s possible to get tired of them 😃, thank you so much!! 💜💜💜
That pallet knife is large #15. They have a large set of knives and a small set. And the #’s from each set don’t duplicate, meaning the small #12 isn’t a small version of the large #12. That looks like a dragon with a red face and sunglasses. It’s gorgeous

Hi Matt 😃👋🏻 Welcome to my channel and thanks so much! The US floetrol can be finicky at times but it does work! I’ve recently gotten it to work with just the floetrol and Amsterdam paint, check out video #91, at a high ration 9 or 10:1.

I Dont get How you mix the colors? Except with floetrol?
I barely get any cells in mine.. i use silicone oil, can u use too much? All Your canvas are so PRETTY! Can u mix the paint too thin? Or What am i doing wrong! Please help! 🥺😍😍
Thank you so much Kajsa 🤗 I don’t use silicone for the blooms technique for cells. I have a beginners tutorial if that will help you to understand a little better. There are also a number of mixing videos I have to give you an idea how I mix pouring mediums I use as well as paints. You can find them in the PM/Paint Mixing playlist. Also all of my painting videos at the beginning of each, you will find the specific paints and products used in images for that piece (also in description box below each video). Hope this helps 🤗
I dont seem to be able to blow out the colors right. Will you let me no what im doing wrong. The dryer doesn't seem to do what i want it to do and neither does the straw
Time and practice is what helped me with my blow. It took me a good 4-5 month until I was confident in mine. You want to blow your CA across your colors so it skims the top. Blowing to hard will bring up pillow cells and may stick your paint to the canvas. 😊

Your PM mix should not be white. Your pillow that you lay down first should be the white paint. Your PM mix is the untinted base paint mixed with the varnish. Similar to a traditional pouring medium (i.e Liquitex or Golden) it should dry as clear as possible so your colors shine through and not the actual medium. It shouldn’t be making your colors white.
i must be using or doing something wrong. adding my pm to color it makes it lighter. ie dark blue becomes 💙 lighter blue.hummmm??

glidden un tinted base 1 gloss. may be thats the issue home depot guy said it was equal...
Ahhh that would be why you are getting the white, you want base 3 not base 1. They aren’t the same Unfortunately. The paint people are trained for talking about the paint going on the wall so to them it is the same. You can totally use that paint base since it’s white as your pillow though see how it works for you 😊

Hmmm I’m not sure what’s available there .. I think Erica Hughes may have a cell activator recipe using Owatrol on her channel … another might be Amsterdam paint and water. I use the Australian floetrol and paint myself.
