Re: comment on Jesus forsaken on the cross, how this speaks to me is from the standpoint of Hebrews 2:5-18, Jesus being fully human in EVERY way, including not only His physical suffering but His mental suffering. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.
I was discussing with a friend before reading Hebrews 2 about how God could have sent Jesus to us as a man if he chose to, but God sent His Flesh to us as a baby, for as Hebrews 2:14-15 says, "Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death-that is, the devil- 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death." ...Fully human from birth through death.
Thank you for your inspiring teaching, Pastor! It is truly still a mind-boggling mystery how God/Jesus/Holy Spirit works, and He is truly glorious, marvelous, majestic!❤

Note about sitting down: It may denote rest but it also can mean a rabbi about to teach.
We see in Matt 5:1 when Jesus did sermon on the Mount that He sat down and started to teach.
This was typical of rabbis. Their senior position allowed them status to sit ( elect position of Moses seat ) and teach Torah.
Jesus sat and taught a lot and expounded torah and prophets . Sometimes directly and sometimes by parable. In synagogues they stood for reading but sat while teaching.
Is it possible Hebrews was talking about Jesus being confident and at rest or secure and sat and taught the people?
He taught with authority and confidence. This was often noted in the gospels.

Well, that suits me just fine. I don't WANT any other Way. Why on earth would I want any other Way, but Lord Jesus??? You can go to God, through God, and then be indwelt by God. Seems like the sensible option to me. 🤔🤔🤔Come to think of it, I'm exceedingly glad about my limited option of only ONE Way. Thank you, Blessed Trinity. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Master, Savior, King. The only God I want. The only God I'll ever need.

Hi Pastor Paul, I have listened to your teachings for several years now and am always so blessed. Thank you for your faithfulness to teach God's Word. I would like to suggest that you read David Barton's book, The Jefferson Lies. Here is an excerpt out of it:
"There actually is no Jefferson Bible, but modern spin is usually directed at one of two religious works that Jefferson prepared about Jesus. He compiled the first in 1804 and the second around 1820. Jefferson assigned an explicit title to each, accurately describing its scope and purpose. Neither was a “Bible,” and Jefferson would have strenuously objected to that characterization. In his mind each was nothing more than what he said it was in its title.
Jefferson’s title for his 1804 work about Jesus was:
The Philosophy of Jesus of Nazareth, being Extracted from the Account of His Life and Doctrines Given by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; Being an Abridgement of the New Testament for the Use of the Indians, Unembarrassed [Uncomplicated] with Matters of Fact or Faith beyond the Level of their Comprehensions.
Notice several important points. First, this work was prepared for the use of Indians. Second, it was a work about Jesus drawn solely from the four Gospels. Third, it was not a Bible but rather an abridgment of the major doctrines of Jesus in the Gospels, and as will be seen below, it included many references to the miraculous and supernatural."
Just thought I would share that information with you. Of course there is a lot more that Mr. Barton had to say about it but it's something that you will need to read for yourself. David Barton is a wonderful Christian man who loves the Lord and loves this nation.
Thank you and God bless you for your faithfulness!

I always assumed it was written by Paul, but now I'm thinking there was some kind of team effort in this book. Initiated by Paul, but knew he couldn't attach his name lest this letter not be read. It could have been Barnabas, or Appolos, or some silent companion of Paul. And it almost didn't make the Bible for that reason. But yes, I appreciate Hebrews for the connection made between the Old and New Testament
