Nice bike, bought mine in November. Got mine up to 31 mph with barely any effort. Love all the features. Keep mine in trail mode , pas 5, plenty of power without going to full beast mode. I would highly recommend this bike
Mike, Very nice review! I'm looking to purchase an e-bike in the near future, and the Discover 2 is definitely a contender. By the way, I didn't know if Rochester was your last name or your location, but I figured it out it was your location while watching this. My wife and I had looked for geocaches in Basil Marella Park several times in the past. And I recognized the English Road parking lot from there in your video. Small world, as they say!
@@bobn.2634I'm glad you enjoyed the review. The discover 2 is one of my all time favorite commuter bikes. This was by far one of the best reviews of this bike I’ve seen yet. With very little difference in speed between the various modes, I’m sure of the purpose of one vs another. Also, I believe you can engage a cadence mode if desired.
@@IRail-u7n at 1:57 in the time line I have size and fit specs it shows the large frame going up to 6' 4" but it's basically up to how you feel on the bike.
This bike does not compare to other 750w motor bikes going uphill. I wanted to love it but as someone with a hilly commute I am struggling getting home. That and, it stopped turning on the first time I rode it in the rain.
That seems strange mine gets wet all the time maybe it's something else could be the controller. I'm sure you know this but it does have 15 levels of paddle assist make sure you're in the highest and the lowest gear I haven't had any hills I couldn't make it up.

Have you disabled throttle limit yet? If so is there a difference between eco, trail and boost in throttle only? Thanks
No I have not disabled the throttle.
Looks like a great bike. It's on my list if my Aventure 2 ever goes out. Or maybe if I just get an extra couple thousand!
Its a great bike, tons of options
Mike. Happen to know the weight of the battery ?
Sorry I never waited but Normally they're around 10 lb.

No bike like this is for 6'6". You will need a long seatpost and handlebar stem extension
@@isisdaddy1 You can definitely extend the seat post and turn the handlebar stem up that should help.
Velotric increased the price from $1699 to $1899
@@bigrod997 There's a new import tax that is forcing ebike companies to increase their price.
@@mikerochester That explains it. Thanks
@@bigrod997 No problem a lot of Ebike companies are having to increase they really don't want to
