Good evening Sir, thanks for all the information you make available for us. How do I enroll in your course for poultry farming and how much is involved? I'd like to have your contact. Thanks
Palm tree for roofing?😳 Your client will cry in 2 to 3 years and you’ll be long gone. Penny wise pound foolish. Palm trees soaks water and in less than 5 years, the roof will start giving way and you’ll have to do the roofing all over again with real wood, trust me.
Thanks for speaking your mind sir. You should have asked how old is the first structure we did with this. Well, palm tree will serve as long as you don’t continue to expose to rain/water. You said it soaks water but what if it never gets soaked? Sometimes what we lack is the right man for the job, maybe your carpenter can better his best
@@feathers_pro like you said, you're testing the waters. I've tested the waters and I'm telling you palm trees are a no no. I don't care how good your carpenter is, mother nature is undefeated. Bookmark this message and get back to me in 5 years.
@@anthonygiwa5569 It's un-ethical to come to people's space and speak negative things, especially when you are grossly ignorant of what you are saying. Palm trees are the best for roofing since time immemorial. Go to villages and see houses that are 50+ years, they were roofed with palm trees. The only thing is that there is a way of checking out the matured palm trees that are good for roofing, when you open it up in the middle, you will see it. Another thing is that as long as water doesn't touch it,it can last for over 50 years,go to the village and check. Good job,DIY AGRIC. Udeze Anthony.
@@impactone159 it's now unethical to speak the truth without sugarcoating? FYI, houses are not built the same way poultry pens are built with the opening at the top, rain will always find its way in no matter how good your carpenter is. I'm currently replacing all the palm trees in the roof of an old(8 year) pen I just acquired. So I'm speaking from an actual experience, not throwing shade. Peace ✌

In fact, such diversity of thought can enhance the learning experience and encourage critical thinking. As someone who has spent a significant amount on constructing our pen houses, understanding whether palm trees are a viable option for poultry construction is crucial for making informed decisions. My limited understanding is that since poultry houses are inherently highly humid environments, materials that retain water or are porous, like palm trees, may not be ideal.
