The second step is when I had my break through when I was a kid. I didn't understand how to keep my feet on the pedals, but the second step you show teaches you to point your toes down to learn the scoop. After that it all comes natural. Then you learn that you can always get your back end as high up as you can pull the front end if you really try.
I always tell riders that your hand positioning is also important because then you can be able to pick up the bike even higher .I know that helped me out when i was learning. nice video btw
