Man I’m excited for this build I’ve always wanted an Evo especially the final edition ever since I saw them at the LA auto show years ago. I honestly can’t imagine owning one of these cars and having it get wrecked I’d be devastated man. I’m gonna try again and hope I win this legendary car haha keep up the grind dev respect.
They're great cars. Ngl never thought I'd own one either but I got lucky enough to find a good deal on one 4 years ago. 154k miles now still running strong lol.

4:16 there isn’t much a frame machine and a welder cannot repair, this is an iconic car and the last of a dying breed. I hope this turns out as well as the evo 8, and once the frame horn is fixed I bet it will be a lot easier to restore back to glory.

All the comments that are saying yes and they love it?? I get it, Devin’s attention to detail is f**king insane. But we have like 200 evo build and 199 subi builds on the channel. They must be EVO owners. As I mentioned in my comment, I’ll still watch because I enjoy Devin and his content is fire. Just wish we would get out of his comfort zone more often and explore the cars he has like the NSX, supra, etc. 😅

In US the FE did not come with Recaro seats because US made a change in safety regulation and Mitsubishi did not want to spend money changing the the seat to meet safety standards. They regular lancer seats in it.

Hey Devin Final edition like 2015 comes with regular seats that are not even Recaro’s so those are added haha but still cool
The Canada market got the final edition with the Recaro's. Many final edition owners ordered those and swapped out to make it right.

I found you on YT when you had the Evo X for not super long. And had a bunch of Subaru's. Also some for winters. Outback/Legacy/Forester and the black Hawkeye. if I recall correct. Along with the Genesis from Bobbi. 😆💯

Can confirm, octane blue is the best. I actually have a Final Edition blue octane in my garage :). Canada version are a bit different i think. It might give me some idea to do to mine :)

Were those recaros available on the final edition? Every one I ever saw at the dealer came with the awful seats that weren't sporty at all. Maybe it was a North Carolina thing? I thought maybe it was because air bag law in 2015 said you needed side airbags in the front seats and that was Mitsubishi's only option. I wonder if the previous owner of that car replaced the seats with -2014 recaros.
