if the MLS had seasons at the same time and promotions/relegations, it would be much much more popular. also 2026 wc and 2024 copa america will def grow it to be popular as austrian bundesliga/ swiss league and maybe portuguese liga
@@alii17_22 No it wouldn't. It would deplete the growth that MLS has been building. 2017, the Galaxy would have been Relegated, so NO ZLATAN to Galasxy in 2018. No amazing kickoff to the LAFC-Galaxy Rivalry. Cincinnati would have been Relegated any of their first 3 season in MLS, and would have not built up to what they are now (Winning Supporter's Shield in 2023; top of the table), etc... There is very little upside to Pro-Rel for MLS.
The MLS imo is super underrated, and that's coming from a South American football fan. I think the MLS deserves more of a chance and it the league actually has promotions and relegations, I think this league could easily be a really fun on to watch, especially when Liga MX and the MLS combines for the Leagues Cup. I do like the idea of playoffs
Brother does not understand a generalization. Here I’ll break it down for you, all I meant is that it’s not popular. In general, people don’t give a shit about it. Get tf out of here
@@dinodinho I'd rather say it's average than good. The MLS has talents but so does every other league. To say it's good is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. But I think it's still underrated
That’s very poor reasoning. Also, I never said it was good. The title asks a question, it doesn’t make a statement. I said I had a lot of fun watching it and there are good and bad things about it.
Tons of fans enjoy Triple-A Baseball even if it's not the the 'Major Leagues'. College D1 Basketball draws 23 million in total attendance, they all know that they're not watching the NBA. So the fact that MLS is not "one of the top leagues" makes no difference to me. MLS is where MY TEAM plays, that's why I watch, that's what I enjoy watching. Conversely, I don't watch any Euro Soccer, and I don't care how "good" those teams are... They Are Not MY TEAM, so why would I care.
There is a mistake in this video. I accidentally said Bouanga scored a banger for LAFC. I meant to say Bogusz scored a banger.
Also, it's simply "MLS"... it's not "the MLS"
Major League Soccer... not the "Major League *_*of*_* Soccer"
@@davidday2373 I don’t care at all 🤣
@@dinodinho Imagine soneone talking about "The Serie A"... lol
@@davidday2373 everyone says that. It’s really not that serious. It sounds better saying “the”
@@dinodinho It's like saying "ATM Machine" ... once you realize it. you know it's just wrong.

agreed, i need my dcfc in mls :(
Promotion-Relegation would harm MLS.
@@davidday2373 it would be more entertaining tho

I've watched the odd MLS game here or there, I think it were alright.
MLS academy players are actually good so the MLS has a chance to make some good homegrown talent.
Any favorite MLS team yet ?
nah
There are plenty of fans but alot of the fans live an hour or more away from the stadiums

I wish we could stop inporting foreign players and hace a bigger domestic player base
MLS>Saudi league
How did you come up with "no one here watches the MLS?" Uh, plenty of people. You just haven't been paying attention.
