What is the work of Base, because it's not available in my region/area. I need an answer please....
The base and salt are the primary materials without which you can't make the soap. Every other material is optional from my experience

When you add water to the salt and base, it foams. So I believe it's the base. I stand to be corrected though

Please I use to do it but if is the for long it develop bad cent after I put preservatives but still the cent is bad..
Once I made one that lasts almost a year without preservative yet I didn't have that challenge probably because it wasn't bottled. It was in a bucket so when I run out, I restock and even this particular one, it's still fresh though I made it either Feb or Mar.
