  • In this full #review I will explain all the specs of the 2024 Lexus Tx 350 then take it for a test drive. The TX is all-new for Lexus sharing the powertrain with the Toyota Grand Highlander, platform and tech. Lexus uses a unibody construction over the GX body-on-frame but they still have quirks which will bring me to my pros and cons.

    I will agree, after checking out both on lots….it’s definitely a head scratcher when you try to puzzle out the VALUE proposition of buying the TX over the GH, when comparing trim for trim. You definitely get more features and options for the money, at the GH level. But with Lexus, you get the more gentler ride, better frame construction, less body roll, and better noise reduction, along with better leather on the upper trims, and better sound system. Is that worth $6-9k more?? Your call.

    • @HawkeyeRides
      @HawkeyeRides  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I feel they both had the same body roll (I did a side by side comparison too), for me the Lexus is a little bit more quiet but with the upgraded wheels is more less then same ride.

    I love it. Looks so much better in person. Feels good on the inside too. Not cushy, but more business class. Lexus is really moving away from Plush to more clean, sleek, business look. Think Airlines….

    I’m not happy with the four cylinder in such a large vehicle. The Lexus RX350 which I drive has the 3.5 litre V6 which has been a bulletproof engine for them. The RX350 as of 2023 is only available in the four cylinder and it’s noisy.

    • @HawkeyeRides

      It would be nice to have the v6 (without the phev) as it is a great engine 👍

      @@zemo2332 You never have to use premium gasoline. I have owned several Lexus vehicles that say "premium fuel" and always run 87 octane in them. You lose slight horsepower but not enough to even notice unless you are looking for performance. In that case you probably aren't buying the TX 350.

    You get what you pay for. The BMW X5 interior is totally in a different level when it comes to leather, wood, and even the injection molding and fake leather surfaces if any. The TX interior is fully covered in faux leather that is not very convincing, minimal to no wood and all the dash and doors covered with the same fake material. If you are coming from a Camry or a Highlander then the TX interior will seem like an upgrade to you ,however, the MDX and even my 2023 Infiniti QX60 has better and more luxurious interior, including genuine Napa leather and open pore wood.

      glad you drove one lol... I drove the QX60 and its horrible over bumps and noisy inside in comparison.. And the bose sound system is garbage compared to the Mark Levinson.. And I have owed several infinitis, highly reliable - had 3 different generations of the Q70 sedans.... but the Lexus is definitely next level in comparison.. However - I would not buy the TX350, it would be the 500H or nothing.

    Get the Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited - Standard Hybrid 2.5L
    36miles/gal
    More bang for your buck. If you are a man and your daily driver is the toyota sienna, then get the grand Highlander.
    Who is trying to race these big SUVs?
    If you are, then you are already driving: cx90, tesla X, Urus, AMG G-Wagon, cybertruck.

    • @bryana8383

      @HawkeyeRides the point being you dont buy a GH or TX to race. It's an upscale family hauler that is not a minivan.
      As a guy, you really dont want your daily driver to be a minivan unless you are on vacay and have a rental.
      If you have kids, why have premium materials in your SUV? The pain of seeing crayon melted in your cup holders or dried nugget sauce all over your Alcantara and Nappa leather seats is unbearable. Eventhough you are your wife enjoy the feel of premium materials staddling you rear, it won't be appreciated by the kids until they're late teens. That's why the TX is out of the question if you have kids. With the GH you won't break the bank. If your family has more than one kid, then saving money is first and foremost. So you won't need the GH hybrid Platinum because saving on gas mileage can help with college tuition. Also, the extras that are in platinum and are not in the Limited are a little gimmicky and not really needed. For example, do you really need the electronic rear view mirror in the Platinum, when you already have a bird's eye camera that comes in The Limited? Or do you really need a camera in the steering column that watches your eyes to see if you sleep?
      Get the GH standard Hybrid Limited at 50K.
      You will save 10K over the GH Platinum Hybrid Max.
      You will save 20K+ over the TX models.
      Use the cost savings for college or a trip to the mountains!

      @@bryana8383 I have 3 kids and never had any of that happen in my vehicles but I never had a mini van either. When I buy I look for every feature personally but (in the review) I review as a buyer looking to buy this vehicles and what deal I’m getting overall. The GH in a Limited will be more than a TX and you can save maybe 2-5k with better service meaning 4yr warranty oppose to a std 3 yr. Just like I say in the review performance isn’t everything but it’s nice to be able to go faster than 8 seconds or so to 60 as we all know what that means on the interstate 😁👍

    • @bryana8383
      @bryana8383 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @HawkeyeRides i watched your review of the GH and you did say the GH hybrid Max was a better deal than the TX mentioning the use of premium fuel in the GH would get you close to similar performance to the TX while also saving off the purchase price.
      I do agree that a lot of buyers would get the GH max hybrid over the standard hybrid because of performance, which makes a lot of sense.
      The question I have is that if they really wanted a large vehicle with performance they would probably go for the cx90 over the GH max. Maybe the Tesla X or Y over the GH Max or maybe the VW Atlas with the turbo?
      But if people like fuel economy over performance, because you're not trying to race your SUVs, then the standard hybrid GH limited seems to be a good proposition. There is a sport mode even. O-60 under 8 seconds for the large family hauler.
      Your 3 kids must be older than 8 years old. From 2-6 years old, even a short trip to Target and McDonald's left my interiors needing a clean up. I always got the leatherette or leather. I have 4 kids. The worst was when the youngest was born, the next older was 11 months, then 5 years old an 8 year old. I was an idiot driving an Audi Q7 3.7L. It was a great looking car, but only from the outside.
