Honest opinion on bates? Really on the fence about getting one
It’s a beautifully crafted reel that casts just as well as my Lew’s. However after only using it twice, I’d hate to influence the purchase of one. It’s going to take me some time to fully learn its capabilities.
You caught it, but I really wish the Bates were US made and not Chinese made. It would make it that much better.
Agreed but then the price would be even higher.
I dont think it would have to be though. I think this reel has some big margins already.
