Update: I started my dreads when my hair was decently long (eyebrow level). It’s coming up on my first retwist (April 6th). The lady says by the 3rd retwist my hair should begin budding so I’m just trusting the process

I started my locs with interlocking and I interlock every 2-3 months. My locs are a bit stiff until I water them. Seeing people who started with coils make me wonder if I should restart tbh

should I get a taper then get locks or is a hightop fade gud?
get a low taper because u can do more styles and wait until ur hair is long to get a high top incase u regret it

Go with a taper bro. If you don’t like it after a while then you can cut the sides to make it a high top or drop fade

Hello. I just started. I currently have a comb twist. My hair is about 3.5 inches. I've been growing for 4-5 months. The lady doing my hair said not to put any oil, should I listen, I feel it's dry.
You should put oil in your have 2 or 3 times a week and if you have rose water put that in everyday
@trey2lit874 Thmk you, I appreciate it. Unfortunately, I happen to be allergic to rose water. My mum tried on me when I was very young. Said I couldn't withstand it.

Tea tree oil is good for any itching you might have.. sometimes I put some in a spray bottle with water and that helps with hair growth as well

When I see someone with locs I think they look sinister
I don't have loc, but my friend does, and every time I see someone with locs start doing that side-to-side shit with the hair I say, "Can't wait to restart and get some mighty fine hair like that." Or I say some stuff that would be similar to what the kkk said to people like us to him.
I need help, currently I got a curly burst tape, and I wanna get dreads, should I grow the sides and then get dreads? Or should I cut all my hair and get the taper and grow it out?
Cut it and get it tapered, that’s what I did. Had a box for about 2 years then cut it off (wave length) experimented with waves while my hair was short, now I’m 6 months in wit a full head. Best decision I ever made 🤟🏾
