EXO just killed the Killing Voice stage. They're known as the Vocal Kings & recently named K-pop Emperor. This iconic idol group whose career spanned 11 years, in roller coaster ride, still going very very strong. Thanks for your reaction . Theres a reason they call them "The Kings of K-pop". They're not like anyone else, they have their own flavor that's amazingly and unbelievably unique! The group consists of nine members from left to right: Chanyeol (main rapper, vocal), D.O. (main vocal), Suho (leader, vocal), Chen (main vocal), Xiumin (sub vocal, sub rapper, dancer), Baekhyun (main vocal), Sehun (rapper, dancer), Kai (main dancer, vocal, sub rapper. He enlisted military on May 2023) and Lay (main dancer, vocal. Solo activities in China, but remains a member of EXO).
The guy in all white is Chen, one of the 3 main vocalists in EXO.

SHINEE debuted in 2008. Shinee is considered "The Princes of K-pop" for their perfect harmonies, classy dance moves, and trend-setting fashion. The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, main vocalist Jonghyun passed away suddenly in December 2017.

This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase EXO's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a compilation of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They debuted more than 11 years ago, so they have a lot of songs. You are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs (And in some cases, they are singing lines from the middle of the song, so it may sound different when you listen to the actual song. Plus, in this performance they are missing two members, so some of their parts in these songs were different than the original versions because they had to cover for the missing members.) As you can see and hear, this is a LIVE performance with 100% live vocals.
SM Entertainment is known for having some of the best singers in the industry. You can't be an SM artist without being an amazing singer. So even the company's rappers receive intense vocal training. (Just look at EXO's Chanyeol on the far left and Sehun on the far right, who are both main rappers, and, yet, they each have amazing singing voices. How often do you see rappers that can sing as well as them?) All of SM's rappers could even fill in as main vocalists in their groups. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And what you are hearing is why EXO are nicknamed "the vocal kings of Kpop". Another thing SM's artists and groups are known for is for being top tier when it comes to live vocals and perfect harmonies. SM artists are recognized for the fact that they all can sing live while performing intense choreography for hours in concert and still sound flawless the whole time.
EXO is currently a 9-member group, however, there are only 7 members in this performance. From left to right: Chanyeol (main rapper and lead vocal), D.O. (main vocal), Suho (leader and lead vocal), Chen (main vocal), Xiumin (sub-vocal, sub-rapper, and dancer), Baekhyun (main vocal) and Sehun (main rapper and main dancer). The two members who are missing are: Kai (main dancer, lead vocal and sub-rapper), who is on hiatus right now because he joined the military May 2023, and will be away for the next 18 months; and Lay (main dancer, lead vocal and rapper), EXO's Chinese member, who is busy with solo activities in China.
Xiumin is the oldest member, who is currently 33, and Sehun is the youngest at 29. They are seasoned veterans at this point, who are all highly respected in the industry for their talent.
As you just saw, "Miracles in December" is a song that is only sung by EXO's three main vocalists, Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. However, you will see all the EXO members in the MV because it's telling another part of EXO's story.
EXO debuted in 2012 with their song "Mama." When you watch that MV and get to know EXO better, you will understand why D.O. was making jokes and they were all laughing when he introduced "Mama." EXO's debut and group concept is unlike anything you have ever seen before and "Mama" is one of the most epic debut songs and MVs ever created.
"The First Snow" is about the magic of the first snowfall of the season and how it's the perfect atmosphere to fall in love. This song is so popular that you can hear it being played all over the place in Korea on the first day of snow and it's pretty much considered a winter anthem that gets played nonstop all season long, especially around the holidays.
EXO's "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics. EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony. As "the nation's boy group," EXO was the only Kpop group to be selected to perform at the Olympics. If you like the sound of "Power" in this video, just wait until you see their live remixed version of the song. You should check out their "Diamond" + "Coming Over" + "Run This" + "Drop That" + "Power" set at their EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul in 2017.
And, as you know, "Cream Soda" is their most recent song that was just released in July, and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote this song and album, which is why the performed the whole song. (LOL, if you think "Cream Soda" is about your favorite soft drink, then you really need to look up the English translation of the lyrics. EXO are not talking about a beverage. 😉)

I love EXO's Exist album!! My favs are Cream Soda, Love Fools, No Makeup and Private Party. AOTY for me!! The guy in the middle is Chen, one of the main vocalists. There are 3 main vocalists, the ones in black, D.O. and Baekhyun, and the one in the middle, Chen, are the main vocalists. 7 Members have successful solo albums: D.O., Chen, Baekhyun, Kai, Xiumin, Suho, and Lay. EXO has 2 sub-units with their own albums: EXO-SC (Sehun & Chanyeol - the rap line) and EXO-CBX (Chen, Baekhyun & Xiumin - the vocal line).

Who doesn't like Chen (in white clothes). He has a great voice. But Baekhyun (with gray hair) became my bias after I heard his solo songs Bambi, Un Village and Candy.❤🔥 But as you also say they all have fantastic voices.

Chen, the guy in the middle, is one of a kind vocalist. But Baekhyun and D.O are on the same level. It is not for nothing that these three are called ‘the vocal trinity’. You should react to some of their solo projects to see their vocal ability to a totally different level, especially for Baekhyun and D.O who did not show their full potential in this video. The Killing Voice was great, but it wasn't the full range of their vocals~ It's just hard to get full EXO Vocals in a single video haha~ Especially Kyungsoo didn't even get to show his full potential... Woah they can do so much, they had to contain their talents to fit into the time span of the video haha~

Ok so... I have a story to tell you, and idc if you read it or not. Lol. I have to tell it! SO... I was born in '90, I'm closest in age to Suho. And, I have a little brother who was born in '93, he's 2 and half years younger than me, and sehun is '94, so younger than my little brother. And in my mind, the entire time I've been an EXO-L, I've never thought about Sehun like THAT, no matter how sexy he's being or looking or dancing or rapping... you get my point. So, about 4 years... thats not a very big age gap in reality, so isn't really a big deal, right? *Sigh* Cream Soda RUINED (well I say ruined, but... you know...) Sehun for me. When he went, "ima get it, get it" in that Tuxedo.... I have never been able to look at Sehun the same... all of a sudden he is... the hottest thing I have ever seen, his body is cut like glass, and he knows how to MOVE.... but until Cream Soda... I was fine!
I am no longer fine. I watch everything EXO now with new eyes. Because Sehun is a VERY attractive man, and idk how the heck I didn't see it before just cuz he was a bit younger than me, younger than my lil bro even! 😅 God help me, thrres no going back. 😂
