    The last days of abc golf coverage was some of the best ever American coverage.
    Faldo, Azinger, Baker-Finch and Tirico were such a great broadcasting team.
    I was at this tournament. Tiger was just ridiculously awesome.

    I was at that Tournament and followed Tiger the last day. As Daly walked off the 2nd playoff hole when he missed the short putt. He gave his putter to a young kid and said " maybe you can do better with this, than I did".... Classic!!!!!

      Hey ive been watching this playlist too in order. Nice to see someone else doing the same. And yea, this one is definitely up there. I also liked the one in the rain against the some dude who was #1..on the 18th hole Tiger hit it within 1 inch of the hole while the other guy put it into the Ocean -- total choke.

    Daly has never been known for performing well in high pressure moments, but this was heartbreaking!

    This is my home course. Played two days ago and the rough is no joke. It’s not a course that can be overpowered. Shot making is paramount to go low here.

      How much r green fees?
      I never can get on anywhere in the bay area. It'd be nice to have a course to play. Enjoy!

    • @Shakester71
      @Shakester71 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      reginaldino enchillada for non-San Francisco residents, its $300 but that will end a few weeks after the Championship is over. Normally, it’s usually $120-160 depending on the day. For us SF people, it’s usually $65-$80 walking. It’s a course to say you’ve played, but there are plenty of Bay Area courses that are great tracks.

    On JD’s playoff hole tee shot that bird or plane flew right in front of him. Wonder if TW would have had one of his classic stop action swings. But JD - that stuff, noise etc doesn’t get him rattled.

    I was there and watched him drive the green on one of the holes, It was a par 4 all other golfers layed up about 100 yards away, here comes tiger, we are all near the green, there was excitement in the air and everyone was wondering if he would go for it. There was a sand trap right in front, and sure enough BOOM he hits the ball, you can't see it, but then you hear in land on the green and everyone goes nuts I CANT BELIEVE THEY DIDNT SHOW IT!!! IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT CLIP FOREVER

    I have seen this before at least 2 times. But I never realized the significance of this tournament. Tiger was blundering a bit against Daly in the playoff. He was on the ropes I'd say most of it, hitting bad shots. If Daly had not miffed at that short putt to lose it basically, they were battling man and Tiger was losing momentum. Probably the best playoff I've seen and it was cut short!

    Mental man, not about talent. He knew he wasn't putting well so didn't have the confidence. Just the wrong day and wrong finish. They both didn't want it to end this way, they were enjoying this competition. Liked that Tiger didn't celebrate the win there on the green.

      What why

    • @jhaz6051
      @jhaz6051 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah that's stupid. The very nature of Golf is every shot matters. Shouldn't be any different in a playoff. It's not uncommon at all that a player wins with a good par save. And a putt for the win is going to be equally exciting regardless of what it's for.

    What weird mix of admiration and hatred borne from jealousy coming from the commentators. They'll compliment Tiger and then go on to say things like "Take that Tiger"when another golfer makes a great shot or they say "Now Tiger knows how it feels" when another golfer gets some loud love from the crowd.
