Ukraine's 31,000 doesn't include MIA or wounded and hasn't been updated in a while. Say actual casualties are 40k, multiply by 3 (average wounded to deaths) and it is more like 120,000 to Russia's 550,000 (number they were at when Ukrainian figure was given). Of course Russian wounded probably don't do so well.

Don't foule yourself, unfortunately losses in modern warfare or even old times would be much more closer. For example war in Form Yugoslavia all three side lose approximately about 30.000 peoples. Ww2 Soviet and Germans losses was it pretty close. But ussr had much biger pool of solder.
This level of losses you talk 1:5 is only when one side is much more technical advanced than other(Usa vs. Iraq for example) But is situation in Ukraine it is 99% closer to 1:1 or 1:2

These casulties number are purely comic. Why pass a law to mobilize 500k and initiate new debate to lower mobilization to 20 years after previously lowering til 25 with only 31k casulties?
31,000 fatalities, means 300,000 casualties. Injured troops cannot go to battle or shell shocked, psychological problems.
UA has 2.0 million young adults males between ages of 25 to 35.
Effective availability is probably 1.0 mil. The French MoD was the first to announced that UA has run out of manpower. They have used up all available men.
Only due to the Military industrial guild of USA and Russia is the war continues.
The "VICTORY PLAN" of UA is probably to discover a narrative that works before the remaining 500,000 new conscripts is used up.
The UA can only deploy 5 brigades in the incursion into Kursk oblast.

There is no doubt both figures are far from reality , but the undoubtedly whatever the real number is, there is at least a ratio of no less than 1:5 losses in Ukraine - Russia accordingly.

Stating that Ukraine only lost 31,000 means that Kiev will only be liable to pay compensation for 31,000 dead, all other deaths not payable as considered soldiers MIA and the rest of the money due going to private accounts,

Coupled with the fact that the Russians have advanced and broken through fortress cities like Soledar, Bakhmut and Avdiivka in spite of at least 9 mobilizations in Ukraine, clearly 31,000 is a comical figure and the real number is closer to three quarters of a million.
Not to mention that according to ukrainians and western sources themselves, the russian rotate their troops periodically. While there are alot ukrainian army that has not been rotated for more than 2 years.
For ukraine army that only lost 30.000 against the russian that lost more than 800.000 that doesn't make any sense. Unless the opposite is what really happened

I absolutely disagree, Ukraine might have a hard time on the battlefield but the Russian war machine is having even a harder time to get material to the front lines including people. On top of that the Russian economy is crumbling the Ruble is crumbling.
Russia cannot sustain that war for more than a year in my opinion. The Russian economy is in a dire state and that is often not emphasized enough.
The crux for Ukraine is, it needs the support of the west and if the west is doing everything it can it will bleed out Russias efforts.
Remember, Russia is a huge gas station, plus they have resources and usually they have weapons production for the international market which is not available at this time.
That means the revenue of Russia is absolutely lopsided and extremely prone To collapse, at least in parts.
The permanent mobilization and the attacks on Russia itself is changing the public opinion within Russia. Russia is in dire shape.
