A good way to bring a lore relevant purpose to the Tarrasque's magic resistant hide. Is through the symbiosis of Flail Snails. While the beast sleeps, it naturally attracts Flail Snails. As the snails clean it's body, its mucus seeps into the carapace and transfers the anti-magic properties.
I love the Tarrasque ❤ As a DM and Player, I mess around with broken spells and finding loopholes like make a Tarrasque your Familiar through convoluted word of Polymorph or stacking Temporary Hitpoints using the new rules for the Shapeshift ability that becomes permanent after cancelling concentration ... or becoming player with tarrasque abilities and hitpoints~
I think it would be interesting if there were a young girl of any race with lawful good alignment that had the power to tame and controll the tarrasque and upon her death or marriage that power gets given to another one. Lorewise maybe an ancient Light God cast a spell upon it.
@@aSpectrumofDorky good idea. The biblical Tarrasque was defeated by St. Martha who tamed it and brought the completely docile creature to the city of Tarascon in France to show the inhabitants that it was now no longer evil or dangerous. Obviously the Citizens proceeded to brutally kill the now defenceless creature and made her their patron Saint.
I mean...in theory shouldn't a Ranger or druid be able to make a Pet out of it? lol. It's not inherently evil i don't think. Just a big dino. A super big dino.
It won't rely on ranged attacks in direct combat. But as the DM, if you see someone cheesing it (flight + ranged projectile, hence the reflective carapace to fend off early game cheeses), you announce the tarrasque threw a boulder/spray of rocks.
I still maintain that DnD 5E is a joke compared to 3.5 and the Tarrasque is a great example. Give it back its Regeneration, Speel Resistance (in addition to the carapace), and Damage reduction epic, and no 5E group can kill it.
Y’know, those spikes on its back implies that it has a natural predator
*old man with 7 canaries walks up*
It's predator is probably only a danger for baby tarraasques
Yeh titans
Ya gotta wonder, where are all the other Titanic monsters? Because Tarrasques can't be the only ones.
"Twerking acid rain" lmao

I give it a charge attack with disadvantage to hit but has 300ft range

Shirahoshi
Ooooh in my world we have a deity called Tyramoth who is referred to as the Mother of Monsters. I should do that with a child that is blessed by her.

I miss aura of grounding.
I have a question. Why can't it throw things? Those are RANGED weapons/attacks.
It absolutely can, but people pretend that creatures don't get object interaction just because it's not on the stat block.
@@Slitheringpeanut you can! The problem is, it's not obvious for new DMs
@@TheClericCorner I think you're underselling new GMs.

Yep they dumbed down alot of the monsters way to much hell angels and demons don't even get spells anymore lol
Jump attack? Really need to get rid of or nerf the Reflective Carapace, and then it wouldn't feel so bad giving it a ranged attack.
