Am here right now, lake front, site 34. Am rewatching your video (Telus) so I would say cell service is good. My husband just did a Zoom call so great for working from site.
That game was owned by our friends. Since then we bought Dice Poker and Rommoli from the same maker, Michaud toys. We played Dice Poker in the spring with other friends that had the game. They are a lot of fun! I'm sure your husband will be pleased.
I guess you could say that Lake Saint Peter and some other provincial parks close to Algonquin Provincial Park are good for when Algonquin sells out of rv sites.
Thanks. The podcast was fun. First one we've been on. We weren't sure if they were going to use the video to post on TH-cam or just the audio for the podcast. Turns out they did both.
THX for another awesome review!!! A great year of reviews and especially all the different parks. These videos have encouraged me to try parks I would never have thought of so, THANK YOU again. CHEERS!!!😊
Our pleasure! So many people only go to the BIG and POPULAR parks and they are so hard to get into these days. Many of the smaller, less known parks are amazing and we hope people try them out some more. Thanks for watching. Happy camping.
Thats hilarious at the end. How she got through it without laughing! Nice park that we drove by after Algonquin that we will stop at next time. Great job!
What can I say another great video. I never thought about Lake St Peter now I will definitely check it out. I will also be checking out the ontario parks website. Your friend Kelly is so funny her video was so fun to watch thanks for sharing it with us. 👍👍👍👍👍
So glad you enjoyed Lake St Peter. We have been going to stay at White Pine Cottages for Thanksgiving just down road, fell in love with the area. We walked the park last year looked so nice and it was open at Thanksgiving. Loved the video, and great job on Kelly's entertaining video!! 🤣 Hope to see her again next year!
Loved Kelly’s video at the end 😂. So glad you mentioned the PP shopping…I did not realize PP shopping was available. I was sorry I hadn’t bought a crest at Superior PP this summer & now I can get one👍. I am so glad I heard Ben on CBC that morning….I went back and have watched right from season one…You are pro’s now
That “Camping Entertaining with Kelly” was so funny. I love my Merlin app, hadn’t thought to just record sounds in the woods to identify multiple birds, great tip.
Glad you enjoyed it! Our friend, Jamie, showed us the Merlin app. He learned about it from a guy that he met on the Bruce Trail, when he was walking the entire length of the trail last May. It's awesome, you can take pictures of birds and it will identify them but we really like just letting it listen and finding out what kinds of birds are in the area. Some people spend years learning to ID birds by sound then someone comes up with a cell phone app so that anyone can do it...amazing!
@@CampingwiththeColes yes, I also love it because I participate in “Project FeederWatch “. I often use Merlin to identify new birds. I get American Goldfinches at my feeder, then recently someone posted a photo of a pine Siskin. They look very similar. Turns out I have both. You’re right, this kind of technology makes so many activities more accessible.
That is so cool.that Ontario Parks asked you guys to sponsor them in your videos and you guys did that well! I also loved the fun video "entertaining with Kelly" at the end. Maybe next season there could be another installment when you guys camp with her again.
Yeah, we were pretty happy when Ontario Parks reached out to us. We're obviously big supporters of OP so It was a pleasure to do a little commercial for them for the online holiday promotion. We hope to work with them again in the future. Kelly's getting some love from the viewers for her clip. We'll have to see if we can convince her to do a regular segment for us next season.😁
@@CampingwiththeColes you guys really are supporting them and helping so many of us get to know so many parks much better. Making the "less popular parks" look more appealing. Perhaps helping people to spread out and try something new and look at the new rules as a good thing rather than a bad thing. If Ontario Parks want to continue thisr online store next season, you guys will come up with a fun way to promote that I'm sure!
Great to see you guys again! Getting to be "just like family"! LOL! Cute park! Great commercial for PP as well. I will definitely ck out the website! Fun and entertaining with Kelly! Nice touch! Always impressed with your videography!
Thx guys for another great review and congrats on your new sponsor, (HOPEFULLY THEY'LL GIVE YOU A BREAK ON THE FEES, LOL ). One more question guys, do you know if the parks will send us out receipts for the 20% tax return on reservations?...thx guys and keep the great content coming!
We're obviously big supporters of Ontario Parks so we were pretty happy when they reached out to us and asked us to help promote their online store for the holiday season. Hopefully we'll work some more with them in the future. I don't know if they send out receipts, you'll have to ask them about that. What I do each year is log in to my OP account and click on "my reservations" and for each park I print off the transaction record. Happy camping!
Hi Kelly, what year is the Trillium?? I love the small trailers, Key Erst and Alaska are a long ways away! Another great video, thanks Ben and Cheryl!!!
Hi Doug, I was talking with Kelly and she says its a 2011 Trillium. They love that little trailer. We love it too but there is no way that Cheryl could downsize with her maximalist mentality. Jamie and Kelly offered to have us take it for a trip. I'd love to see if Cheryl could do it!
As we are recording in a public place we're bound to get people in the shot. We don't intentionally focus the shot on anybody without their permission. For instance, if we're showing the beach and people are on the beach we're not trying to show the people, we're trying to show the beach. If we were to focus on a person because they were doing something different, unusual or noteworthy we'd ask their permission because they are the focus of that recording.
@@CampingwiththeColes Not a big deal I guess. My wife told me that you guys walked past when I was out for a walk. She didn't tell me that you filmed our site though. I was surprised that's all. That was us on 63, 4:26
@@jimdent351 I see what your talking about now. I specifically asked your wife if I could record at your site because it was such a good site. She was present for the recording and saw everything I did. However if you want me to blur out your son I can do that. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable with what's in the video.
@@CampingwiththeColes No, that's okay. I just wasn't expecting that it was filmed that's all. I don't remember her saying that you filmed us. No worries
Cell Phone Service: If you've been to this park please let us know your experience with cell service.

Great Review.
Thanks. Happy camping!
Our cottage was on Fosters road in lk St. Peter. My uncles used to own the one general store!! Thanks for the memories! Haven’t been there in 25 yrs
Our pleasure! Glad we could help bring you back to the good ole days.
Great video!! Lake St. Peter is one of my favourite parks. Small, great swimming... Enjoyed Kelly's little clip on you added on the end.
Glad you enjoyed it. Some smaller parks can be really nice for a change of pace.
So informative ! Thank you so much, great video. I subscribed because is so well done.
Thanks so much! We're glad you liked it.
I love sitting at the bench by the water. Great view
Nice place to sit and just enjoy being.
Thank you once again!
Our pleasure. Thanks for watching.
That Dice Baseball game looks like so much fun! I just purchased it for my husband. Thank you for sharing.

Another great video, and a great bonus at the end 😂.
Thank you 😁
You can spend a day in Maynooth shopping!
Another great video, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it.
Went camping here a few years ago. Small quiet and beautiful
Nice little place for some R&R
I sure hope Kelly has a Utube channel! She was excellent!
We're trying to get her to do some stuff with us around campfire cooking. She is a real foodie.
Videos just get better (thanks)
Thanks so much!

Awesome! I really enjoy the videos that you put out on the parks! Lake Saint Peter Park appears to be a nice little gem as well.

She's a natural. We'll have to try to convince her to do some segments for us.😊
Ok, here’s your line for your water scene: Y’all c’mon in…the water is FINE! In a southern drawl!
Thats hilarious at the end. How she got through it without laughing! Nice park that we drove by after Algonquin that we will stop at next time. Great job!

Site #63 is our favourite site
at this park, on a dead end road and water access
Yeah, it looked like a real nice site.
The next step to birding is to purchase binoculars- another fun activity to include in your travels.
Great video!!
That's a great idea!
