I feel for your fans. Hell of a trek for a stupid kick-off time and that’s what you get served up by your lot. I gave us very little hope going into that and while I was amazed and pleasantly surprised with how we played, it was made much easier for us than it should have been.
Edit; your run-in is brutal. Though I still reckon we’ll get 5 champions league spots, so you’ll be fine. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Not being funny but with the exception of Mike Ashley's "ownership" when he asset stripped the club and used them as a piggy bank for 14 years, in my memory Newcastle have regularly pumped Spurs... I remember 7-1 and a 6-1 in the 90s, them putting 5 or 6 past spurs on multiple occasions in the 00s, and even when the club was a shell in the 2010s still managed to put 5 past spurs... I think Newcastle are just Spurs' bogey team tbh....
Fair point mate,we've also dished out a few thrashings over the last few years,always seems to be a one sided game when we play eachother but fair play to you guys on Saturday,despite us being piss poor you were brilliant,some player isak is👏
Pains me no end to say this but I think we are going to witness Arteta giving AP a hard lesson in how to tailor your line-up and tactics to nullify the threat from the opposition and punish (with great relish!) every single lapse of concentration. It is those all-too-regular lapses of concentration which have cost us so dearly-along with the so invitingly exploitable: tactical stagnation-no better word for it. If you have a good defence which most teams soon to face us have , we can be stopped in our tracks because our attack is always 15 passes in the making and easy enough to stifle then, in that moment when it stalls and the players go through yet another innward sigh of deflation they get shocked out of it by the realisation that there are 3 oppo players converging on our goal and only VDV has a hope of catching them. Most people are still on the AP train but this 57-years a Spurs fan never got on it because what I learned of him prior to his arrival brought back memories of the Ozzie Ardilles era and doubt set in.
I scrolled through all of AP's press conference thumbnail s out of curiosity(I think it was on Chris Cowlins channel) it was interesting to see how his demeanor has altered.
I could have him all wrong and just can't grasp the whole picture-not unusual-lets see how things pan out with these games coming up, he has got to come up with something those teams can't deal with, break the patter of our predictability ( and pray that VDV's hamstrings hold up !)
I think you're spot on mate,personally I understand ange sticking by an attacking style of play to instill it into the team but he dosent tweak it whatsoever and at times it makes us ridiculously predictable,derby will be interesting,of it was away I think we'd get schooled but at home with the raucous atmosphere our fans are going to create I think it'll be interesting

Son, Biss and Werner were the worst of a bad lot. Only Benny was decent, and Johnson in parts. We got bullied really
It was mad when Bentancur got taken off, with Son to follow. At that point I thought Ange had accepted the loss and just wanted to get their best players off to rest for what is going to be prove horrendous remaining fixture list.
Completely agree,ange subs and timing of them were poor again today and felt like we were completely physically bullied for 90 minutes

Spurs are not been that good and you had no Europe this season , so you have had a lot of luck this season and so Ange got it so wrong with he tactics
We've had luck at times but tbf if it wasent for the injury crisis we had December-jan we'd be a lot higher,then again a lot of teams get injuries and I still think compared to last season it's been a good season so far in a transitional year for the club and postecoglou,having Said that agree he got it wrong on Saturday

But have you seen the remaining fixture list for the two teams? Anything can happen it's the premier league but it's easily possible for Newcastle to overtake if Tottenham can't get results against those top teams. Newastle could be expecting to win all their remaining games

When Newcastle batter a team the pundits always say how bad the other team played not how good Newcastle were. With all the injuries we have had we are lucky to be in the top half of the table never mind pushing for Europe. We are better than spurs and man utd and they are above us. Think spurs will finish 5th and us 6th. 😊
