I am very sorry for Violet, she was turned into a weapon trained to follow orders without question, trained to hide and not show her emotions. They turned a child into a weapon, taking away childhood and the chance of a life without war.

But for Gilbert it was "missing in action" which means he is alive. Then when Gilbert got shot and injured in battle his body was never found. Only his dog tag as well as when u watch the last episode of season one u see violet smile and tear up a little. As if she hasn't seen someone she loves and missed in years...it also ended on a cliffhanger which rlly broke my heart.
3:39 when he gets shot and the music heightens 😔 imagine looking up to someone you loved, thinking the battles over and you've won to see them get shot right in front of you. Really can connect to a good anime 😓

Malec2Nightingale I think he's alive. In the last episode when Violet's letter was being read in a field of violets there was a drop of water and a light. I personally believe it was the major out there with a lantern reading her letter and then called for her at the end of the last episode. Just my opinion 😶

There was not even an ep that I didn't cry my eyes out while watching this anime... Seriously this anime is on a whole new level! It made me feel and think a lot of things while watching it! A true masterpiece and your edit gives justice to it! Bravo! ♥️

Violets story is a sad one . But a beautiful one. She lost someone she loved and hold dear. She also lost something that was apart of her. Her arms that can never be replaced. But she managed to fight the past and try to move forward. She didn’t know what life was as a kid , cuz she was used as a tool for the battlefield. The biggest tragedy in her life were does wars , but with them she learned how to become an actual person. And realized that she will not become a tool for others. That she will continue to live and do her best.
This is probably the saddest anime that I've seen that I actually like, normally i like to avoid sad anime or movies. I cried through almost every episode🤭
Every single episode, at least 10 tears shed. I cried so much, it was heart wrenching. This anime made me realize things as well. It got me in my feels
