hell yeah! we got ludwig as a hermit craft enjoyer! it’s essentially a group of people playing mostly the base game of minecraft (a couple small modifications but nothing too serious) it’s been going on for a while and every few months to a year (idk how long) they reset and start from scratch. they are known for having some of the most popular builders and redstone engineers in the whole community and there are generally story roleplay mixed in with the standard gameplay, although it usually only takes the main focus of the videos for like 30% of the time. very entertaining and much more regular uploads than many other smp’s on youtube! tons of creators tons of styles of content
I’ll also add, the difference between Hermitcraft compared to Dream SMP is: -It’s primarily a TH-cam show, not Twitch. Some people stream but mostly for grindy, less interesting tasks between videos. -It’s moreso about the redstone/building capabilities of the TH-camrs rather than the banter. Although with the addition of proximity chat there has been a lot more spur-of-the-moment interactions. -Though HC is also functionally unscripted, there are often general planned storylines which I find to be less messy and random than DSMP’s much more improv-style storylines.

The ban speedrun was really amazing. The amazing cutout of the "i have a good idea" really makes the story perfect and reasonable for a ban because he has too much ideas so yt just went with a ban from 26 minutes starting of the stream, absolutely amazing. I mean who would think "why not lets do a ban speedrun?" And just like that he did it, the legend himself did a pro gamer moment playing bts while on a sports thing (what is that how he got banned?) which is pretty cool.
Kara and Nate are such great content creators. Legit traveling the world and just sharing the experience. My girlfriend and I watch them religiously and they never disappoint.
@@itsoracle one episode is usually about 20-40 mins and xisuma alone has over 1000 episodes. There are around 20-30 hermits each season and on average one hermit uploads an episode a week. Also according to a count from 4 years ago there were already over 8200 episodes then.
But differently from one piece or any other anime/series you don't really need to catch up, you could just start watching some hermit's videos and i believe you'll still be able to enjoy the lore of the server. I started watching at the end of season 6 :) also, you don't need to watch every single video from every hermit!
I wish I got into hermitcraft earlier. It's so fascinating to me because, as far as I can tell from the name, they're relics of the 1st minecraft wave! I was into some of the big german minecraft projects like shine and galaxy at the time but I never dove into the english projects of the time! Man I kinda miss that time tbh, I haven't watched the dsmp in ages so for me peak minecraft is still propably shine 1. To explain, there were a lot of these what at least we germans called Minecraft Projects. They'd all have their own mod packs and the creators invited a ton of youtubers to start playing, they all built up their own stuff and interacted from time to time and would even weave little tales around their rivalries, but it was mostly just a modded smp. There were no set storylines, just 100s of ppl building their houses and messing around with the mods until they got bored or the project got closed. I believe hermitcraft to work just like that, but I never got into english speaking mcyt until the new wave beyond popularmmos, because I was a child.
Hermitcraft has been around almost as long as Minecraft itself. Mindcrack set the standard for SMPs early on, but Hermitcraft is what serialized them as content creation machines and made them a popular format. So more accurately, DreamSMP is like Hermitcraft. Also, to correct the chat, it wasn't created by Xisumavoid, it was created by GenerikB. Xisuma is the server admin and has been since GennyB left at the end of Season 1.
Verb: Raids 3 TOA (Purple) - common tongue explanation: 3rd raids dungeon has been released called Tombs of Amascat. Purple indicates a rare item was dropped, one of the special items.
No way, Lud got so tired of not getting banned he just pulled up a PNG of "streamed banned" and unplugged his PC That was so fake, you know not everybody has their youtube on English right? RUN IT BACK LUD
For the people in the comments, if you want to get into Hermitcraft I recommend Etho's season 7 series. A relatively tight 37 episodes, good editing with noteblock music made by himself, original builds and cool redstone stuff.
On the topic of Hermitcraft, I remember a while back Ludwig showed a screenshot of his TH-cam analytics (I think he was just showing numbers and revenue at the time) that showed something like a 35% overlap of viewers with one of the Hermits. The Hermitcraft to Ludwig pipeline remains strong
I unironically watch hermitcraft and it't honestly pretty good and at least one person is going to have a personality you like because there's so many of them. Before I would tell you that their content is great to watch regardless if you like minecraft or not but they've been recently been dipping into "lore content" more because of the rise of the dsmp and I feel like that has a specific audience. I'm starting to feel a little alienated because I just want to watch people show off their incredible talent in block game and mess around with friends but oh well, times are changing. P.S. I'm not hating on the type of content I know why people like it and even watched the early days of the dsmp, around the time l'manburg was created and I enjoyed it. I just wish that it was easier to find content in the minecraft space like the old chill let's play videos that don't have screaming and sound effects every second or even more groups like season 5-7 hermitcraft.
Idk, i watch 16 of them and there isn't much "lore" going on from my perspective. Ye, the king stuff, but these kinds of things were always there, or at least since grain joined and started resisting everyone 😂 plus there's xisuma for example, or etho, cub, iskall, mumbo, who just do their thing and enjoy their time on the server without thinking much about any kind of actually "storytelling". I like both sides of the coin here, just keeps it fresh
I wouldnt say that they're doing the lore stuff because of dsmp. I think that it inevitably happened because it helps freshen up a game that you play for hours every day for many years.
@@HawaiianGirl808232 definitely. But even then, lore stuff is usually not THAT big. I mean, ren has the gigacorp stuff, grain has the rift with grumbot (and i still believe not calling the cave Torchwood is a wasted opportunity), pearl has "alien lore", impulse is dwarf, gem is elf, Keralis has madmax thing, but i can't rly think about anyone else except the whole rentheking thing. But even those I'd call a stretch since some of them are just tied to the look and feel of their base and that's it really. Some don't even get mentioned for multiple episodes as well. The only exception here is the king stuff, since it's on the nose, everywhere, with the quests and the arc of champions, now the "claims" as well
@@vitluk I feel like the king stuff isn't that intrusive. For example the thing that stood out to me the most was the spider build with the lightning storm thing? I don't know what was going on with that because I stopped watching after a certain point and can't remember much. I didn't enjoy most of the ending of season 8 with the moon thing. Oh and the dark xisuma thing is becoming a lot more present but I'll cut that some slack because it's been an ongoing thing. I guess the thing I really don't like is the scripted acting. I love builds with back story like what scar does. It makes it the world feel like an actual fantasy setting. I even kinda liked the grumbot stuff in s7 even though it's kinda scripted and I have no problem with what he's doing now. I just feel like there is a noticable difference in the vibe when you are just going along with bs and making up a story as you go along vs writing up a story and mixing it up with just chill building and game play. For example, season 8 with the "Wow. Is the moon getting closer. I'm starting to fall slower. I hope that has nothing to do with the moon. Oh no, it got closer again. I hope nothing happens." vs all the times grian started a war and rained all hell on the server. I still actively enjoy them and I don't necessarily dislike what they are doing but I can see them doing it more and I personally don't want that to happen because it's not the content I enjoy but I understand that it's just not for me and there is an audience for it.
@Cros understandable, but there are couple points: 1. S8 was the shortest season in history of HC (if I'm not mistaken) so they wanted to give as much content as possible, albeit a bit scripted. 2. Hermatrix (i haven't seen any of it but ik of it's existence) (it's Ren and doc thing) was for 1 season only as well (p.1) (at least it hasn't come up this season soooooo) 3. They tried "properly" scripted server-wide thing, from what i can tell, for the first time ever, so it makes sense for some performances not to be as convincing, especially if RPing is not their thing, which for example Xisuma said this season and that he's just gonna be playing Minecraft while Grian seems a bit more natural with the Rift/Grumbot+ compared to the moon in S8. And ye, king stuff is not intrusive, i was just giving an example that was most on the nose
You don't need to start at the beginning of hermitcraft 10 years ago to understand, just start at the beginning of the new season. It's an smp just like any other, happens to be 2nd most popular. Lots of great hermits.
1:05 No, Ludwig. Things aren't going well; you got banned in a minute and a half. Congrats on sub 2 minute speedrun tho. Man really just risked his career for a video
Lol in the beginning the chat... so many people wrong about "Xisumavoid created Hermitcraft" xD FYI: Hermitcraft was originally created by Generikb. Xisuma only took over Server Administration and such after Generikb left it and Xisuma and some of the other "founding Members" kept going with a new season.
I hope that Ludwig can get one of the hermits on stream so they could explain everything to him 😭 he was so confused and what an episode to watch first.

for the OSRS its Raids 3 (3rd Raid added in the game), TOA = Tomb of Amascut (Name of the 3rd Raid AKA the one they're doing in the video) Purple = When a RARE item drops the chest is highlighted Purple, so its basically just saying they got a rare drop in the video.

If you like this energy, you'll love Bdubs with Tango and Impulse. 😁. Also, Pearl during the full moon lmao.
No way this guy timed his livestream ban with the upload of a new video. Genius
I mean he uploads all his videos right after stream
He literally said he was gonna release it when the stream got banned
wasn't expecting to see myself, but I'm not gonna complain
I didn't expect ludwig watching scar's video lmao. funny how every minecraft big group project is compared to dsmp even tho its obviously interesting in a different way. either way just nice to find out scar's video was on trending
Not to mention HC has been a thing for bit over 10 years now (they celebrated 10 this season)
Scar's amazing, and Lud too, that's why amazing people have synergy😊
watching ludwig discover hermitcraft was so funny for a long time hermitcraft fan
“has inflation stopped?” LMAO
IT WORKED

The ban speedrun was really amazing. The amazing cutout of the "i have a good idea" really makes the story perfect and reasonable for a ban because he has too much ideas so yt just went with a ban from 26 minutes starting of the stream, absolutely amazing. I mean who would think "why not lets do a ban speedrun?" And just like that he did it, the legend himself did a pro gamer moment playing bts while on a sports thing (what is that how he got banned?) which is pretty cool.
14:24 I've been watching so much Ludwig videos recently and I've listened to plenty of The Yard podcasts, never knew Ludwig listens to Kpop
Just came from the live, you’re a real one for testing this theory 💯

the corperate up beat jingle at 2:31 made me spit out my choco milk- nicely done
Catching up with all of hermitcraft would take at least 10 times longer than watching all of one piece
idk about that one bro
@@itsoracle one episode is usually about 20-40 mins and xisuma alone has over 1000 episodes. There are around 20-30 hermits each season and on average one hermit uploads an episode a week. Also according to a count from 4 years ago there were already over 8200 episodes then.
Then don't
But differently from one piece or any other anime/series you don't really need to catch up, you could just start watching some hermit's videos and i believe you'll still be able to enjoy the lore of the server. I started watching at the end of season 6 :) also, you don't need to watch every single video from every hermit!
@@amisaltyaf ye that's true, I started watching end of season 5

I’d love to see a Ludwig/ Good Good collab sometime in the future. Gotta get Lud into golf ASAP. He already likes mini golf, gotta go one step further
Finally someone adresses the lack of work and blunt favoritism put in to the yt trending page
I’m genuinely curious cause perhaps I missed something but aside from the obviously paid for videos, what was the blunt favoritism on the page?
what blunt favoritism
bro i was so hyped up for the hoodies until I realized he was talking about September 2022
Was not expecting hermitcraft, but Ludwig watching hermitcraft recap would be actually hilarious
Hermitcraft and Ludwig and some of the furthest things I'd imagine watch together.
Real talk though Andrew Camarata: underrated. Shit should always be trending.
actually tho. he does some interesting shit
as a hermit craft watcher, i think it'd be faster to watch one pice 5 times than it would be to watch all seasons of hermit craft with every pov
Lud's last words before the live steam banned him "Okay I got another idea"
This man ended stream and made a new video in seconds. Thats crazy
As someone whos special interest is hermitcraft, ludwig is correct. There are tens of thousands of hours worth of hermitcraft content.
I was there when it happened. The guy actually got banned during the stream. Best stream I've ever participated in
This guy makes the best content. Can't wait to watch his next stream!
Someone in chat said "it's trash" , when Scar came up.
Scar is such a sweetheart,wtf
He has some serious balls to watch ever single trending videos.
@@LakeGameCreepr not cool man >:(
POV: Your watching Lud trying to avoid a Ban right after he did a Ban speedrun
I can imagine the sheer confusion of seeing that one Scar episode with no context-
I swear, it's not usually like this.
I'm so happy wendigoon is getting the exposure he deserves!
1:12 not yet, but maybe with Bailey Zappe?
Drake May(b)e??!
Ummmmmmm no
The amount of people in chat saying "xsumavoid made it" when lud discovers hermitcraft is astounding
RCE and Andrew deserve trending. 10/10 content

Ur amazing
Episodes of One Piece: 1,043
Episodes of Hermitcraft: *17,336*
What a great TH-camr, we all know Ludwig would never speedrun getting banned
It would be crazy if a creator like Ludwig would ever get banned while streaming
Casted away by his own decision, he remains motivated to show the world he can still go on
12:12 jschlatt right now is crying
Verb: Raids 3 TOA (Purple) - common tongue explanation: 3rd raids dungeon has been released called Tombs of Amascat. Purple indicates a rare item was dropped, one of the special items.
No way, Lud got so tired of not getting banned he just pulled up a PNG of "streamed banned" and unplugged his PC
That was so fake, you know not everybody has their youtube on English right? RUN IT BACK LUD
Finally Banned and ended at a great time "I have a great idea" and then he got banned that's funny
That got me good
Your eating routine at 9:45 perfectly encapsulates mine as a fellow man who gyms casually and has matters of life to attend to
Wow this dude posted and linked a video the moment he got banned. He's an actual genius
I've never been so happy to see someone banned
For the people in the comments, if you want to get into Hermitcraft I recommend Etho's season 7 series. A relatively tight 37 episodes, good editing with noteblock music made by himself, original builds and cool redstone stuff.
18:46 how dare you, it is better.. it is greater... IT IS THE GOD OF ALL SMPs. dont bring it down to the level of dream's smp
Turns on ghost radar:
"2 matches:
The girl you met at the party
The HR guy you spoke to last month"
Oh, that's the ghosting radar
On the topic of Hermitcraft, I remember a while back Ludwig showed a screenshot of his TH-cam analytics (I think he was just showing numbers and revenue at the time) that showed something like a 35% overlap of viewers with one of the Hermits. The Hermitcraft to Ludwig pipeline remains strong
it would be a shame if someone as talented as lud got banned
@Cros understandable, but there are couple points:
1. S8 was the shortest season in history of HC (if I'm not mistaken) so they wanted to give as much content as possible, albeit a bit scripted.
2. Hermatrix (i haven't seen any of it but ik of it's existence) (it's Ren and doc thing) was for 1 season only as well (p.1) (at least it hasn't come up this season soooooo)
LETS GO LUD I BELIVED IN YOU
Lol in the beginning the chat... so many people wrong about "Xisumavoid created Hermitcraft" xD
FYI: Hermitcraft was originally created by Generikb. Xisuma only took over Server Administration and such after Generikb left it and Xisuma and some of the other "founding Members" kept going with a new season.

Would LOVE if Ludwig toured Hermitcraft Season 7!!! Maybe play Decked Out, Etho's game, or tour Keralis's base!!!
Andrew Camarata has been blowing up; “The ATV and Bulldozer Repairs” video. His channel is freaking awesome. I’ve been watching him for years even though I have zero experience with heavy equipment, I find his stuff fascinating. He’s known for having some of the funniest random one-liners and repairing things in a unique way that also can be pretty funny. I can totally see why he’s trending with the success he’s had lately. It might be one of the few videos that made it to that list genuinely instead of being curated by TH-cam.
7:45 , you really need to look into these fellow youtubers more. They find missing people and help the loved ones find closure , they've found multiple, multiple people. And its absolutely amazing what they're doing. No one else compares. Good content for mogul mail too.
They dont do it for money either , just out of wanting to help people find loved ones that have been missing for years.
The pats did not figure out how to win with Mac Jones
for the OSRS its Raids 3 (3rd Raid added in the game), TOA = Tomb of Amascut (Name of the 3rd Raid AKA the one they're doing in the video) Purple = When a RARE item drops the chest is highlighted Purple, so its basically just saying they got a rare drop in the video.
hermit craft is great if you like Minecraft, It feels really genuine, the members of the server have great chemistry and put a lot of legit work into their creations
The moment Ludwig started talking like a TH-camr, I got an ad and my wifi went out. I think that just about describes my TH-cam experience.
"we're here at 10,000 millimeters" bro couldn't find a taller roof than 32 feet so he changed the measurement LMAO
