Caleb Durbin was a complete hype job. All of a sudden we hear about this guy at the end of the season. Next thing you know he’s outta here. Absolutely brilliant move by Cash
@@Tydrix yeah- we need at minimum a left fielder and unless we think rice is ready at first base - a first baseman too. Bellinger is an obvious great choice. But probably need 2 position player not just one .
Kyle Tucker was too good to be believed that Brian Cashman would be able to pull it off... okay now we have a great Bullpen what are we going to do about offense and defense?
Look Devin Williams is 'good' but I'm also a Cardinals fan so I've seen the Airbender shank enough games that I think Yankees fans are going to be as ticked off at him as with Clay Holmes
We aren’t trading players that wouldn’t ever play for Devin Williams under team control. These players are available to us in 2025 for a reason. A team spending $300M a year will be able to replenish that level of talent
Excellent deal. Getting anything of value for cortez is amazing and durbin may or may not be an amazing player but isnt what we really need now. We have 2 to 3 years to win with judge and cole at something resembling their prime. Stanton maybe can give us 1 or 2 more years. No more fluff or prospect hugging we need to win now.
Probably not the first to think this but with Tucker to the cubs, I'd like to see the yanks sign Bregman, move jazz to second, and get that bellinger deal done.
@yankeesunloaded you guys got called out on Pinstripes territory how about you guys getting the Max Fried contract wrong lol you should give it a watch his latest video
Weaver was dominant all season Jake I disagree with you that he only stepped up once he became the closer. I have 100% confidence weaver is going to give it his all this season
You have a point - wells, jazz and Martian are gonna need to step it up with their production and consistency! But I can’t lie: I’d like a pickup of Walker, Bohm, Profar, Arroez, Bellinger, or Santander). Nico Horner - maybe but I like Peraza and think he deserves a shot!
Can't wait for all the "we dodged a bullet by not getting Tucker" and "we didn't want Tucker anyway" "Were smart and will just get him for money and no prospects next year" talk now that he's a Cub.
You think organizations listen to how other teams hype there players and don't have their own scouts? And Tucker is a Cub. Torres made 18 errors in 153 games last year. Jazz has made 18 in 167 career games at 2B. He made 7 in 45 games at 3B. Williams missed 4 months last season with back problems. So they couldn't get the Tucker deal done.
A 30 yo power pitcher who missed 4 months last season with back issues who will be a free agent next season. They already just signed him to his 1 year arbitration contract. He's going to take his shot for his first and problem only FA contract.
Guy has blown more big saves than you can count. "This is the best of all worlds". Lmao how many teams trade "elite" closers... None. The only good part of this trade is that Cortez is gone. He's the most overrated pitcher in the league.
@jsetbeatz Elite closers are "replaceable" huh? As opposed to the Brewers resigning him. Replaceable is another word for the Brewers no longer trust him as a closer.

Durbin is good I think he was gonna be a really good 2nd baseman and I’m pissed about it! great defender can hit the ball and he steals bases
But I’ll take Devin also want tanner Scott he’s another closer would be great set up man or even close we would have the best closers in the league
The move is gold
It is a significant piece to add.
We have no infield now
And we down an outfielder still!
Bregman Chisolm and Bellinger
@Un_k_noWN didn't get them yet
More moves should be coming.

With Fried here they figured they can give up Nestor. So it’s like they got a free reliever for a year
Missed on Bellinger and Tucker. Outfield looking a little light right now
Bellinger hadn’t been traded yet. How we missed on him?
What about the rest of the holes
We need to get Trevor Bauer and trade the rest of our extra starting pitchers for a good position player
Look Devin Williams is 'good' but I'm also a Cardinals fan so I've seen the Airbender shank enough games that I think Yankees fans are going to be as ticked off at him as with Clay Holmes
Why Durbin? Who is playing 2nd base? For a rental of Devin Williams?

Cubs got Tucker!
When your a starter you have to pitch to contact 50\50..when your a reliever not so much

Bellinger is probably headed our way. Cubs just landed Tucker.
Sounds like a match made in heaven.
No 2nd 3rd or 1rst baseman
You trade durbin because of Lombard and Arias.
Jazz 2B, so they gonna get a 3B. And Belly for Stroman to off set their salaries / contracts.
Good luck scoring on the 2025 Yankees. Yeash pick your poison.
Probably not the first to think this but with Tucker to the cubs, I'd like to see the yanks sign Bregman, move jazz to second, and get that bellinger deal done.
That sounds like where this is headed. We will be live tonight to have a hot stove of our own
I apologize for looking at you without your permission
@yankeesunloaded you guys got called out on Pinstripes territory how about you guys getting the Max Fried contract wrong lol you should give it a watch his latest video
Hey this is Gary I have no idea who runs that podcast and I don’t care so we won’t address it.
It was either Williams of Tanner Scott. Ill take William for the $8 million hes making.
When your a starter you have to pitch to contact 50\50..when your a reliever not so much give loaisaga credit not jumping to mutts 3yr/27mil
And he chokes in playoffs. He will fit right in!
Sounds like you are rationalizing.
Weaver was dominant all season Jake I disagree with you that he only stepped up once he became the closer. I have 100% confidence weaver is going to give it his all this season
I thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee
Sorry to inform you but Fried isn't a bull pen guy learn your sport
Um we know that did a whole live stream on him and in the video I reference him being an ACE. No need to be a dick either. - Jake
@yankeesunloaded I'd rather be a dick than a Joke
Bullpen looks good now and starting rotation too! First time in a long time that we have this richness of pitchness!
If you trade Caleb Durbin, you just burned a bridge. Your next move has to be golden.
How so
@ infield has 2 glaring holes defensively and offensively. Durbin is a good trade if you’re upgrading, otherwise it is a burnt bridge.
I don't even want to hear shit about some more pitching, the bats are death on this team after they lost out on Tucker. This team is screwed

I don't like this move cause we parted with Durbin. What about if we lose him at the end of the year?
Cortes is also a free agent next year. Durbin is a 4A player with weak exit velocity that won’t play well in MLB. Think Verdugo this past year.
Guy has blown more big saves than you can count. "This is the best of all worlds". Lmao how many teams trade "elite" closers... None. The only good part of this trade is that Cortez is gone. He's the most overrated pitcher in the league.
They traded him because it’s his contract year and replaceable for the Brewers.
Stop whining like a baby
@jsetbeatz Elite closers are "replaceable" huh? As opposed to the Brewers resigning him. Replaceable is another word for the Brewers no longer trust him as a closer.
I can't believe they got rid of Durbin. They are not going to get Tucker.
They can still get Tucker what are you talking about?
Unless they give up Dominguez and Spencer Jones
@@CJlopezVAstros want pitching! Yanks will give them Gil and Ben Rice
Not even. The astros want Gil and as much as I want to keep Gil I would make that trade then go and sign roki sasaki
I never heard of durbin before last year, so it’s whatever don’t stress too much about it. It’s the brewers anyways
you don't think any chance dj might be healthy and rebound?
There is a better chance you’re the starting second baseman of the Yankees in 2025.
