It’s so helpful to have your videos out there to rewatch them on our harp journeys. Often I get new ideas when I view them months or years later. Have you published your list of pieces that are easily adaptable? Love to see that if you have! Thank you 😊

These arrangements sound lovely on the double. Playing in the same register really uses the double strung to its fullest! Thank you for arranging for a 22 x 2!

Thanks Jill, are you dreaming about a double strung ?

@@annecrosbygaudetmusic Hi Anne. I did have a double (an Eve 22 x 2) - it was my first 'real' harp and I loved it. The tone and sympathetics were glorious. But I guess I just wasn't 'ready' for it at that time and I sold it...so I'm on a very long waitlist for another one from Stoney End (18 months to two years?). The narrow string spacing and light tension are critical for my crazy hand situation! Hugs to you!

I love the double strung pieces you played and I bought them. So far, the only music I have for my 22x2 double strung harp is your music, and I love it all. I have a Stoney End Harp which I bought a year ago in March. I also play a 34 string Crescendo Harp from Dusty Strings. I take lessons on that harp from the harp professor at SUNY College at Fredonia, N.Y. I have played for four years, but have just recently had the lessons. (for about a year). I also love playing the recent pieces you gave us from your students, who have studied for about as long as I have been playing. Thank you so much for that!

You're welcome Linda! Thanks for dropping for the premiere. It's been fun tweaking so many pieces for double strung lately!

I'm brand new to the harp but I play the piano too and just found your channel, I love that a lot of your tips and lessons have that perspective in mind! Have you ever tried a cross-strung harp? The ones that are set up like piano keys seem very interesting

They’re both just so entrancing, Ann. I love both pieces, and your special adapted treatment of them on the double strung harp.

Very interesting. The sound on Drifting was so unique and the melody changed quite a bit with the overlapping notes. I would love to play double strung one day but to be honest I love the traditional sound so much I don’t know how much I’d play it myself. If someone wanted to gift me one, well… of course I’d play it! Ha!

Drifting sounds almost like a new piece! Both songs sound lovely on the double strung. I'm glad your double strung is feeling more loved by being used. 😀

Hello Anne! These were beautiful! I play a DS 29 string Stoney End and a DS 22 string Stoney End. I’m so glad you didn’t give up on DS and I hope you create more DS tunes.

I'm on the wait-list for a Marini double strung. I'm excited to explore the world of double strung. I love your song Drifting. I'll definitely be learning that one at some point.

I’ve been considering a fireside doublestrung harp and wondered if I’d be able to adjust some of your pieces to it…. So glad to see this video! Wish I was able to adapt it as easily as you…. Any chance you’ll be adding some adaptations for double strung in your store/courses?

Hi Anne yes I bought a used Dusty Double (cherry) from Cheryl probably about 1.5 years ago. And the someone from the US gave me Dusty Double (maple Koa) which lives at my families home in the US. So I actually have two in two different countries. I am slowly working on it. So I will need lots of your music! Cheers and thank you Anne!

I have a Stoney End 29 DS. I play all of your pieces on my DS and play my DS exclusively now. It is so versatile. Would love more double strung pieces.

Thank you, Anne...this is great ❤⚘❤ Especially Drifting sounds even more magical🤩🤩🤩 I am happy that you didnt sell your Double Strung and let yourself be inspired again instead. As you know i'll get my Kairos Double Strung in December and i am always happy for hints and tipps and help how to play tunes on the DS. And these two tunes i already played on my "normal" harp...so i am very happy about this Video and looking soo much forward to my future Double-Journey 🤩🌻🙋🏼‍♀️⚘

Thank you Anne! I have msk issues so these days I only play a 22 double strung and occasionally a 22 single course. But you know, even if I was well enough to play my 34 string floor harp, I don't think I'd go back to it. I have dozens of your pieces and I find I adapt automatically now and move up and down octaves freely. They all seem to work well. I'm pleased you've dusted down your double strung and look forward to more double strung arrangements from you - Pabi 💝

Love listening, I don’t have a double string harp but I do have a Reverie Harp that I enjoy playing. I also have a 12 string acoustic guitar that I have had since 1975. Always enjoyed listening to harp and music of many genres too. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful healing music . 🤍🙏

Beautiful! I don't play double-strung harp and currently have no plans to ever play one. But in the future, who knows? I do enjoy the sound. Sort of a "music-box" sound with both hands playing in the same octave and often playing the same notes. I love it. 💕

The first time I tried one I thought "no way". But the magical, weaving texture is so beautiful and fun to work with!

The double strung is so beautiful to me. Of course I’m just an intermediate player at best so I’m still learning regular harp. But I do have a question and haven’t seemed to find the answer doing a search. How do you change levers in the RH? I would think you would have to look around the other side. Oh wait I think I’ve had an epiphany! Are all the levers for both hands on the left?

Ms.Anne. Thank you so much for the beautiful movies.
I'm thinking of purchasing FH26 double strung, because I can't find a good lever harp for going out and playing with people. The second choice is Marini made 28 bass lap harp.
Now I have one really basic question.
By raising original notes for chords 1 octave up, can you use a 26 string double strung harp as you play the 34 string one?
If you do this, you will pluck chords at higher notes than melody.
if doing so doesn't sound so strange, you can take this small harp easily and play melody for yourself or chords for other instruments.
This would be nice when you're looking for the second harp.

very cool i have a question . i have as you a 36 and a 26 single strung but as i like play outside even tho i ove the 36 of course i am thinking of get the 26 double instead ...also for those amazing possibilities that the two row of strings open up
my question is how tricky is to get used to the double string?is there a lot of learning curve? also how do you find yourself switching back and forth between the two? thanks
