Whenever the press gave her really critical questions, her intelligent and articulated responses always made them look stupid. She was so detailed and concise about reporting the Whitehouse's actions, too. I watched those press briefings every single day when she was working for Biden.

Seth handled this interview with humour and integrity. I appreciate how he did not ask leading questions. There were no cheap laughs leveled at Biden. This situation is a bomb ready to go off. Many in the media are trolling for clicks and not pointing out the serious failures and weaknesses of Trump. Biden has been respectful, hard working and has delivered for the American people. OTHER late night hosts have not behaved so well.
That's why Seth gets to interview heavy hitters like Psaki. I watch him on TH-cam because of "A Closer Look" and he does the work to understand the issues. In the long run, he doesn't joke around with this serious business that we find ourselves in and I really respect that.

America fundamentally is a Hollywood B-movie in real life. Americans (and lately even every Westerner) will say they want a boring politician. But deep down they love Trump. All of them. Even the liberals and progressives. Because he is entertaining.
Three observations of mine:
1.) the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, who you probably don‘t even know anything about, is often criticized for being „too boring/bland“. Even though people say that‘s exactly what they want in a politician. And yet when someone IS actually like that it‘s seen as something negative.
2.) Colin Jost, one of the hosts of SNL, did a lie detector test and when asked about whether he wants another Trump term, he replied „No“, but the detector said it was a lie. Now I don‘t think he is a secret conservative. Rather, he is a comedian and he knows that Trump is great for comedy.
3.) the ratings for Colbert, Meyers, etc. have gone through the roof after 2016. People love to be enraged.
In short: Americans want Trump. Not everyone knows that consciously. But in the end, you want him. You NEED him for your entertainment.
And you deserve him.
Every bad thing that Project 2025 brings, you american people deserve.

Context: Shirley Chisholm announced she was running in January 1972 and she did stay in the race until.the end, she ended up with 152 delegates. The nomination went to George McGovern.
Chisholm was not the first woman of color to run for president. 5 months earlier, Congresswoman Patsy Takamoto Mink began her run for the Democratic nomination. She only appeared on the ballot in a handful of mostly western states before she ended her run.

(1) 20+ illegal aliens coming freely through the borders and allowed /encouraged to vote in US elections.

(3) Using 'faulty' computers to collate votes
(4) The whole Nation not voting on the same day, so people that voted early can also cheat and vote later as no photo ID is required.
(5) Still allowing postal voting / 'stuffing of ballot papers' as it pleases the delivery person. Postal voting in civilised western countries are now done via computers and the voters are verified before hand using ID's / facial recognition.

I know Biden makes you, personally, feel good, but try to get outside your bubble. Ask yourself, why do so many people hate him? Who could get people excited about voting for them? Because practically no one is excited about voting for Biden, they are just afraid of the alternative. And that is not enough to win, because the people who are voting for Trump are excited about the things they think he will do. They want to see Democrats in concentration camps.

This is how he can stay in power. He must admit that any President does not actually do much to run the government. Most of the government is run by the Cabinet Secretaries. Instead of his nominating speech, he should bring out each member of the cabinet and have them explain what they do and what their vision is for their department. Then have them compared to what Trump has used for these positions. That is where the quality difference is stark.

I don’t think they should drop Biden, but they should start promoting Harris. A.) If they do drop Biden we already have built up a replacement. B.) Many people are expecting Biden to leave the presidency even if elected. So many people will be considering Harris as president anyway.

Biden-Harris still remains our best bet. If President Biden decided to step down, history has consistently shown that open/brokered conventions are usually a mess and leads to the other party winning. The last one was in 1968 when LBJ stepped down. The convention was a bitter, ugly affair, which then led to Nixon winning.
It's not the same. Kamala is a poor candidate, and Joe is frail. Identity politics will kill the dems. Joe should have picked the most qualified VP. It would have been easier to deal with now.

- Has more statewide executive experience as California's Atty General than several of the newer governors named.
- Has more legislative experience and relationships with Congress than any of the governors (including Newsom)
- Is the only name I've heard with White House/substantial Executive Branch experience and the insights on how to get things done across the agency landscape
- has demonstrated her intelligence, problem-solving skills, and deep curiosity about finding novel solutions to complex issues during her tenure as District Atty, AG, Senator, and VP
-Is just a smidge left of center, the ideal moderate that "undecided" voters always claim they are looking for
- And has been successful with all of it.
Pointing out that Harris is a Black woman as if that is a negative is saying the quiet part out loud; that doesn't negate any of her qualifications; it just highlights the sad reality that her race and gender are for some voters the only thing they can see.
