These are the videos that started Uncle Crispy Productions... one thursday night we brought 2 cameras to a show, the next day the first Uncle Crispy video was edited, and the rest is history. This was one of the last times the band performed at Java Joes without mics. This was also Jason's second show after having recorded his Elektra Album, so some of the songs were still new. It is a classic Java Joe's show, just Jason, Toca & Ian and a coffee shop full of fans!

thanks so much for posting! we went to Java Joe's every Thursday for over a year to see this show when we were in college and this was a great trip down memory lane. Those were the days, eh?

Yes! This has always been my favorite video from this gig. I just crack up every time I see Jason wiping his mouth off after the birthday girl kisses him.
Thanks for posting these! The recordings fro this time on Archive.org is what made me a Mraz fan, now I get to watch the magic instead of just listen to it!

@artjewl Ha for a second there I thought he said that it was a Bieber song, but I knew it couldn't be!!!! Thanks for clearing it up!! :) I love him, especially his live performances, way better than recorded stuff in my opinion!
Can you imagine being that girl in the audience trying to sing some earthy melody throughout this whole song... the lack of self awareness. I bet she always tries to get her friends to tell her she’s a good singer when she’s drunk.
I love all these performances!! Would love to have seen him preform there! Who's song does he say it is at the start?! Obviously I realize that it's a joke!
