I love your selection of toys , i get frustrated sometimes cuz i dont know what to use anymore and mi kids get bored of the same also ,but some of ur ideas are cool and im gonna used them thxs
I use a.lot of sensory like slime which is top # 1 ,don't matter how many toys you have they will ended up picking slime .Then bubbles, kinetic sand , water 💦 like fish tank ( artificial) and any mechanical toy cause and effect . I use Balloon launcher , Stomp 🦶 launcher rocket 🚀, I ordered many fun toys .I have one in particular that is called Baby ducks .You catch the babies ducks .They pop from the spinner .etc
I just started on Monday with my first kiddo! I was sooooo nervous for what turned out to be no reason! All of the training kicked in immediately and I am so happy. Good luck and stay confident!!

I also put my counting pieces in bags! I had to do it because my niece wants to play with all of the pieces but I only want her to focus on her 1s-3s at the moment. She's just learning her numbers. She can say 1-10 but she hasn't figured out that two bears go with the number 2.

I am starting on the 18th and it’s my first time working in this field! I recently got my associates in social work and self development and looking to see if I can fit into this work. I am 25 and looking to start my career. I enjoy working with others but my biggest concern is that I worked with adults with disabilities but I have no prior experience working with children. I’m nervous and excited!
@@ashleybellinghoven2331 Hello, I only worked doing RBT for 3 months before I got Covid twice and decided to quit. I couldn’t risk getting Covid so easily because I live with my gf and her immune compromised/ breast cancer survivor grandma. It was a great time and honestly all I can say is it is a learning experience when working with children. All kids are different and works is trying whats within the plan to see what motivates the child to learn.
@@supportteam3232 Hello, I don’t do RBT anymore however I would say you learn as you go! Ask as many questions to whoever you’re shadowing and definitely get to know every child you work with. See what motivates them, and what works and what doesn’t. Stay consistent

I am curious about how you implement educational activities that are not part of the client’s programming. Do you still follow through on demands or allow escape if the client doesn’t show interest?
The educational games themselves are not the clients programming no, but if I have a program that is aimed at keeping a client focused on an activity for x amount of minutes I can run that program working on an activity. Every child is different meaning we have different expectations for them. If one of my clients wants to escape I can use a DRA to ask for a break. But like I said every client is different so talk with the analyst on how they want the programs to be ran and what Interventions are to be used.

Hello Alexandra! Ugh that’s a tough one. I know just how difficult it is to try and find something as reinforcing as an electronic (especially when they are in your clients age range). All that comes to mind right now would be using a token economy with backup reinforcers where the boys would be able to by little things from a “store”. The store could also sell time outside or a preferred snack etc. Try (as best you can) to wean them off the tablet. Having their parents support you when you’re not with them is also very important!
BCBA’s give treatment plans based off the communication and behavioral skills the kiddos has. Activities and toys are based on the kiddos interests primarily. In order to get an idea of what they like, you need to pair with them. So that’s all on you. Some agency’s will provide toys and some won’t! Do your research on who you’re working for and don’t be afraid to ask your BCBA for recommendations:)

I've just started my RBT journey. I'm mid way through the 40 hour online training. I stumbled upon your videos and love them.

Will the bcba come up with all of the activities and toys we need or do I need to come up with some of my own?
