    I Love the 900 ❤ To me, it looks just perfect, the Ludwigia and the Hydrophila, the Limnophilia and the Christmas moss, all those plant colors are so well balanced and complement each other so well, and then also the wood, its twirly shape and dark brown. Everything works together so beautifully.

    My favorite scape is the second shown.
    I would love to see more Non CO2 injection tanks & discussion about the running of them as they are more manageable to those of us with less time.

    • @zrwn
      @zrwn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The irony i feel is that co2 injected tanks are more easier to maintain actually if properly dialled in

      Smaller tank with a big pressurised CO2 bottle on a timer and solenoid with sensible lighting and low stocking of fish reduces workload. Non-C02 tanks are a delicate balancing act, the one reality of nature style tanks without CO2 is that the fish are unlikely to be distressed but algae and water quality issues can be highly problematic.

      That second scape has a red to green color effect that looks amazing.

    For me, the 900 is my favourite. I like the difference between the heavy stem planting on the one side in contrast to the clean sand foreground and clear right hand side (looking from the front). Stunning 👍

    Love the 1200. I just love the wall to wall green plants. I like the others too but there isn't enough green plants for me. I like the different hues or reds and pinks and the brownish colors but too many of them and I miss the green. Also the bigger the plants the more I like them so I am drawn to the larger tank. Thanks George for sharing the beautiful aquariums.

    Love the 1200. Looks interesting from a distance and as you get closer just more details appear. Possibly just because it’s the larger tank. Also love the plant selection in particular those lilys.

    I do love the scape of the 1200 the most but not a fan of the lights! More of a twinstar, chihiros vivid fan and their color rendition! That 900 is beautiful though with the red stems! So maybe a tie between those two! Another great video George! Love scaped nature too!

    Out of all of them, I think I like your aquascaper 1200 the most. I hope I have to straigt in my head 🤔😂I think I picked the aquascape 900 last time on your shop visit, if I remember correctly? The reasons I did choose this one is because of the length of time has been set up. I want an aquarium/aquascape that will be in it for the long haul. Having the vision of what it will look like when everything is grown in and given the time to mature is what interests me. The anubias, it's just fantastic, the lilies look so elegant and adds nice focal points. the textures in this aquarium with all the plants being full makes it so pleasing to the eye for me. I studied landscape design and I like to know what plants look like when they're fully grown in... Just like if you were landscaping a beautiful yard. This looks like it wouldn't have to be messed with 🤔😂 that you can let it grow and just pruning things so they don't take over. All these plants look like they grow in at kind of the same rate. This aquarium looks very enjoyable to me. And you could put a wide variety of fish in here. Okay the real reason is because you built it George 😂JK but I am a little bit partial! Overall this aquarium just makes me happy.. it is a beautiful testament to how an aquarium can grow in and look natural!! I love the natural look of it! Thank you as always, I'm really enjoying getting to know your friend's shop there at Scaped Nature.. I don't think I'd ever want to leave so I really appreciate you bringing me along! I hope you have a very blessed and beautiful Sunday! Much love my friend! 👍🌿🐟🌱🙏

    The 60cm, low-energy Buce tank is my fav out of these. The simple and minimal style combined with the dark theme looks really good. I"m usually not one to fall for trendy plants like Buce, but this one just looks great as a single-species tank.

    I prefer the Aquascaper 1200 because of the wood scape and the perfect way the anubias nana, bucephalandras, and cryptocoryne have merged together, not to omit the nice moss growth. Even the echinodorus, rarely seen in aquascapes these days, in the background I like although they will look even better once growth will make them fill in.

    I've stopped with the stem plants and my FISH aquarium of 920 liters is mostly what you see in tank no.1 (not as lush or numerous Anubias.but the look) and with Bolbitis FINALLY having taken off after 8 months, and C.balansae replacing the various Vallisneria I started with. Swords,lots of Java moss and some Christmas...one tiny red tiger Lotus..such great color,but refuses to enlarge enough for my tastes and wants. There it is..2 years of getting back into the hobby,trying so many plants and settled in to the tank no.1 look. I'm happy with it...still takes time skill and work enough to keep it going. S'ok with me!

    Number 2 with all the Buce’s, I like low energy tanks and it’s true there isn’t enough information about light settings, fertiliser and just general setup and running through the first year. There’s lots of resources but it’s not all together if you know what I mean, anyway number 2, great video, will be visiting whenever I’m in Norwich.

    Wow! Epic as always. Adore that mature Anubias and bucephalandra tank, plus can’t beat that Kessil ripple it’s a tank that looks as good above the waterline as it does below. Loving the second red dominated colourful scape, really superb colour on that one incredibly effective tank.
    Third tank has the most epic looking bucephalandra I’ve ever seen he certainly can grow that stuff, totally stunning and inspired me to make a ‘low energy’ bucephalandra dominated tank, I’m convinced now, that’s my next setup. Last tank again just as beautiful, love a good deep pile on my carpets! Lol
    Amazing displays all of them no way to choose the best. I’ve gotta get to that shop one day. ❤️

    I love these all! I think the 600 would be more my speed at this stage in the game for me. Size wise I could handle it more. The simple planting and hardscape. And was it a species tank? I will have to go back and see if there was more than one fauna in it.
    And the algae? Really was nothing of consequence to me. It looked so simple and beautiful. All are great inspiration!!

  • @Nefats
    @Nefats 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I would consider all of these tanks high tech. They all have high tech lighting, a high level of filtration+skimming and propably high level of fertilisation.
    I think we should look at the level of lighting, level of external filtration and level of fertilisation (micro and macro nutrients and CO2) to categorize a tank as high or low tech. And maybe consider that there is a midground - no one is talking about mid-tech :)
    That being said they all look great - the 900 has to be my favourite though.

    Based on research I've seen on the twinstars I would have to say yes they do work, many users have demonstrated amazing results in a lab type set up with side by side comparisons, even showing and increase in plant growth. Most people I've seen that argue against them have never used them.

    • @blu3leg3nd
      @blu3leg3nd 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those side by side comparisons are fun to watch but hardly scientific by my definition.

    • @zacha8412
      @zacha8412 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blu3leg3nd I'm sure there's some science behind it, from personal experience I believe it works from what others have shown it works Ive yet to see anything against it other than people saying there's not scientific proof that it does work, and non the says it doesn't. I'm going off experience, I'd say yes it works, not a solution to all issues but a nice tool to have when starting new tanks

    I have a newbie question about the second tank (1200). You're making use of 2 Oase biomaster Thermo 600 filters. A quick calculation tells me one Biomaster 350 could be enough for the content of the aquarium. Why did you make use of a bigger size of filter, and why two filters? Because of the necessary flow in the tank? Or because of other reasons? I'm thinking about scaping a 1200 mm tank in the near future, and I want to get an idea of the equipment I might need to get it to work properly. I love your work by the way.

    I’m quite harsh, but I don’t like most of the scapes. The 1200 could be a lot better by trimming back the epiphytes and some crinum and crypts in the background. The second scape is my favourite. I’d change the choice of some of the stems and they need some shaping up, but scapes can’t be in best nick all the time. The Buce scape is impressive, but only because of the growth and not the aesthetics. The Iwagumi and the ADA scapes don’t have much impact from hardscape, but I’ll leave my judgment for the ADA scape until it’s grown in.

    Hi George agree with you ref. Hi tech./low tech. better described as high/low energy.
    Clearly using electrolysis and specialised lighting is undoubtedly high tech, and also with the addition of specialised pelleted soils, heating cables and specialised nutrient dosing regimes low in macro nutrients another level of technology is involved, and some of us use Ultra Violet sterilising especially for the time period new fish are introduced. Ultraviolet lights are clearly technology but hardly high energy.
    But cheap LED spots and Yeast generated CO2 would be high energy but not quite high tech. Typically when using cheap spots will be rated at 30 or 50 watts.
    I use a mix of specialised hobby developed lighting and LED industrial targeted spots, not personally convinced my expensive aquatic trade lamps are superior. Or perhaps I should say sufficiently superior to warrant the cost, three 50 watt spots can be had for around £75, the same wattage from top of the range systems might be £600 plus.
    CO2 is C02, though obviously Yeast systems need regular maintenance. I use both.
    I add Iron and other micro elements and sometimes a little of the macros - especially Potassium - and try to avoid Phosphate addition, not sure where that fits on Hi/Low.
    Interesting shop visit, thanks as always.
