Just Hold W: How an Aggressive Brainiac is Taking Over CS:GO

  • For all its twitchy, fast-paced action, CS:GO can be an absurdly tense and tactical esport.
    Whether you’re orchestrating meticulous, airtight executes. or cyka blyating your way to B. there’s usually a method to your madness.
    Whatever you do, there should be some element of strategy behind it. Because, for that minute and fifty-five seconds, there are no second chances. One millimeter too far, one step too soon, and it’s over.
    So, when the pressure’s on, and you need to secure the frag, the last thing you want is to run in and die like an idiot. You want to play with respect and a certain degree of reservation.
    Unless, of course, you’re the one dude in CS:GO who, no matter how stupid or suicidal the maneuver, is just, better.

From what he's saying in interviews and doing his play, it sounds more like he has a higher than normal sense of spatial awareness and memory of common spots and the direction people look. He's playing off timing and weak points in people's reaction to rotations, and expectations of group movements. It'll be interesting to see more games from Furia.

    1. The one who always holds shift, even at the start at the game
    2. The guy always holding W
    And there is no inbetween except for that one guy with 350+ hrs unable to get out of silver

    i’ve been a cod player for over 10 years now, and just recently got into CS with some buddies. my cod play style mostly consists of running straight at the other team, slaying, and being a general PITA. now i don’t always play that way on CS, but in the occasional 3-5v1 situations my favourite strategy is to just left click w key with the pp bizon. combine that with a smoke and watching people panic spray as you rush out is absolutely gold whenever it works out.

    He doesn't just press W and play agressively, he puts his mind into it too. That's the reason why he does it so well. He's not mindlessly pushing, he's intelligently calculating every movement he makes while continously being aggressive.

    To my siege brain his movement looks really similar. Peek everything. Abuse the advantage of your ping and get in their faces
    Editing to add that this mentality sounds very similar to BDS/shaiko and so far the only way to beat them has to been even more aggressive than they are

  • @ECshuffle
    @ECshuffle 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    He used to be really good in the Krieg meta, but if you watch Furia's games he can be a liability if the other team expects it or he is too aggressive. Their form rn isn't what it was but without a doubt best Brazilian team on CS:GO. I think hen1 is the more impressive player because he is a more traditional awper and his aim is good and can usually clutch if art dies quickly.
