Very nicely done. I remember making this kit when it came in a plastic bag with the fold out instructions stapled to the bag. They used to be displayed on carousels priced, I think, at 2/- each in the Co-Op. Sadly, my finished model would not have borne any comparison to yours! PS: You get an extra 10 points for calling them 'transfers'😊.
Just the way I remember buying the kits including Trackside (or lineside) HO/OO kits. I was more into trains in those days before moving to planes and ships. Pity it's getting so expensive these days considering the cheaper labour costs and lost due to the increasing transport and material costs escalating
Great job on a vintage Airfix kit. I like the cockpit work.....especially the aircrew figures. Aircraft/helos look better populated. Hahaha! Happy modeling. Bill
Great video, helped a lot with the build! Was the black undercoat to darken the paint finish before the green went on? I have put a coat of green on my one and it is far too light, no2 gloss emerald like instructions say. However did this over white primer. Really useful vid and looks stunning!
Thanks for your comment, It would be nice if they did a new tool of this to be fair, and new tools of all the other back catalogue helicopters, like the westland scout :)

Thanks for your comment. I remeber them, My local newsagent had a carousel, and even sold Airfix paints in glass bottles :)
@@Ryker45 I remember those Airfix glass bottles too - square and tapering up to a round top!

Nice build Stevie. It's always a good idea to wash the model though. Love those old kits, takes me back to when I was a young lad
If I were just looking at the end result, I would never think it was a vintage kit.
