I hope this encourages any other holomems who haven’t seen dbz to stream kakarot, this is some of the most fun I’ve had in a while and honestly I’ve come to find out seeing other people experience dbz for the first time is the closest you’ll get to reliving those childhood memories compared to just rewatching by yourself.

I listened to a podcast about Nietzsche recently and the funny thing is that Goku is basically his idea of what an Ubermensch should be. Someone who legitimately enjoys the struggle of getting better for It's own sake. Enjoys the struggle like a child enjoys playing.
he's simultaneously a big ignorant dope from the backwoods with the heart of a child, and the most badass fighter ever, unbeatable by the fact he NEVER stops surpassing his limits. the ultimate expression of yin and yang. but he'd also never have survived some of his many battles without his friends and family and this ending is probably the best portrayal of that, it's peak shōnen.
Dragon Ball Gt has an incredible ending, but I believe that the original ost of the American dub ruined the incredible impact of that ending. Here in Brazil, Dragon Ball has always been super faithful to the original, having no censorship, the original ost, and even things like the spirit bomb have the name in Japanese, Genkidama.
Even it missed something its understandable to cut the excess scene like the strongest coffee candy scene, in the Buu body scene etc. just to make the game didn't long too much

It’s been a while since I’ve been reminded how utterly kino Dragon Ball can be. It hasn’t really been on my mind in recent years, but now that I think back, every recess in 4th grade basically revolved around it. Akira Toriyama truly was a master of his craft.

For all the issues I had with the Buu Saga, the ending itself was amazing. Glad Pekora could experience one of the most influential series ever and a huge impact on our collective childhoods through this game.

People that worked with him said he was hyped to be with DB again and inspired. This stuff is the reason I watch anime. This is why I love this stuff and want to either watch it more or again. The thrill, the excitement, the "I can't wait for what happens next", the absolute joy you experience after Goku or any other such great main character manages to defeat the big evil after doing their best.
I recently played this and even watching it again here I can feel my blood boling in the last moments, raising my hands for the Genkidama and my heart getting excited during the last push just like I did as a kid. Dragon Ball really is the pinnacle of the "Shonen" spirit. Makes you all "Waku waku" huh Goku 😁
