    But did you forgot to üajen hack your volca sample for getting longer sequences

    • @BIGUMAMI
      @BIGUMAMI  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey dude! I do have the pajen firmware! I didn't need to expand the sequence in this case, the piano sample i triggered was just to put the beat in context.

    Or you can just change the swing of certain snares and kicks. That's the easy way to do it.

    • @BIGUMAMI
      @BIGUMAMI  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you mean selectively? yes you can do that easily in a DAW - a bit more complex in some machines!

  • @SamSilk
    @SamSilk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is the dirty way to achieve what some call the drunken feel. The reality behind this isn’t anything random : it’s quintuplets and septuplets polyrythms .

    • @BIGUMAMI
      @BIGUMAMI  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's a great way too, though I doubt Madlib and Dilla had quintuplets quantisation on their samplers back in the 90s 😂

    • @SamSilk
      @SamSilk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@BIGUMAMI no. Dilla didnt quantize at all but you can find interviews of Questlove who worked with him a lot explaining that these were concepts he used extensively. By the way, it’s definitely possible to get quintuplet and septuplet grooves with the right percentage of groove even on an old MPC

    • @BIGUMAMI
