  • Film special effects crew are ingenious especially in the pre-CGI days and such was their quality of work it can confuse viewers and lead them to believe what the special effects crew want you to believe. Bus the Bristol Lodekka open-topped bus did not perish at sea as this video explains.

One little blooper connected to this, when we see Stan trying to drive the bus off the beach late at night, and the bus is "stuck", the driving wheels at the front are straight. Look at the plywood mock up, and the wheels are looking to the left!

That position probably gave the plywood mock-up better stability.

Great stuff on the locations you find.
Just one for you though; do you know where the football match was filmed?

Land adjacent to East Dulwich FC now occupied by Sainsburys Superstore and car park on Dog Kennel Hill, East Dulwich.

Look carefully at the plywood mock up, and you'll see, the stairs heading to the upper deck, only the first two are visible, and I can't see handrails, or a green partition either.

Bowie died in 79, another talented person gone, cannot remember the bus in the sea

I wish that the Crosville open topper had been preserved but alas not
