We just fished below gunterville dam. Try bumping the baits and slowing your boat down by using your trolling motor to cut the current speed in half! Pretty exciting way to fish but make sure you hold on to your rod because they'll try and take it from you!

Richard Gene, you oughta git'cha some O' them Military grade sunglasses-the kind that'll fit right over top of your regular glasses. That should help big-time, when you're facing towards the sun, and cut down on the glare. Just a suggestion...
1:53 Gives me flashbacks to when I was a kid and dad did that with a small catfish. It's barb stabbed him deep in the palm of his hand, on the fleshy part of his thumb. We had to leave because it was hurting him too bad and he was starting to feel sick. Sucked, because we stayed out all night to get a good spot, and the fish were biting good.

you know we carfish alot at guntersville..see like this year we have caught alot of nice channel catfish..where we usually catch alot of big blues..either way still tons of fun..thanks for another great vidoe
Hey Richard have you ever tried drifting with chicken breast out there at Guntersville dam? We do it here at the chickamauga dam all the time… You’ll catch a bunch of eater size channels and every once in a while you’ll hook a big blue… It’s fun on light line with a 20lb leader. Just a swivel and a hook is all you need and we use 4/0 Kahle hooks or a big J hook. Just start reeling when they grab it… I butterfly the chicken breast right down the middle but cut it at an angle so it’s thick on one side and thinner on the other. Hook it through the thin side a couple times with a lot of hook exposure. About a 2 inch wide cut is all you need. You can catch a bunch on one chicken breast.

good place to fish. haven't got to go there in a good while....lots of catfish though. we used bluegill for bait and caught some good yellows

a good trick for catching big catfish (if you can stomach it) is to use dead stuff as bait, like if you see a dead fish on the surface cut it and rig it on your hook the smell will draw in some big boys

Awesome fishn as always Mr Gene. You know that you can always put a push broom handle in the end of net and make it longer. Don't make it open no more. But will help. Couple pre drilled small screws and ur good to good
