The name *must have* a number from a marketing perspective. Been as we've already had the Switch Lite and OLED, which play the same games, I honestly think it would cause confusion like from the Wii U. It has to have a number to show that it is different from the rest because it clearly states that it is a Sequel to one of the best selling consoles of all time. Plus because of the backwards compatibility they would need to show the customer that it is more powerful than the first, giving the customer a *reason* to buy it.
@AidensHorrorHouse you make a strong case Aiden! I guess I'm more thinking of the creative side that I'm used to Nintendo expressing. Like, they didn't call the Wii the GameCube 2 even though it was backwards compatible, they completely rebranded the console, which was smart imo. But if retaining the initial fans of the switch are Nintendos intention with the Switch 2, then I can understand that, i just hope they have fun with it!!
The cartridges will be about the same size, the power will be around the ps4 pro/xbox series s, it will be called the Switch 2, the joycons and console will be bigger, the screen will be about 8 inches, Nintendo has confirmed backwards compatibility months ago, Switch online will stay, and the system will fundamentally be the same. Great vid :)
Mr DLizzer if the Nintendo Switch 2 is not Backwards compatible I'm not spending my hard earn money instead I'll buy the legion go 2 when it comes out. Happy New year to you and your family.
@@Dziller yeah they came out with the 3DS, 2DS, NEW 3DS, NEW 2DS (this excludes the XL varients) To add to this the NEW 3DS had games that could not be played on the 3DS
Backwards compatibility is a must, if they don't do that they're completely ignoring Nintendo fans
@@Taure-aku exaaaactly
A switch 2 lite is a must because some people like smaller ones stuff

Wassup my man, I feel that, I never heard of the Legion Go tho! You just put me on 🔥
Would be nice not to have a monthly subscription to play online but🤔 they should keep that other one where you can play retro games
@@Taure-aku I forgot about that one!! I really like that one
Backwards compatibility already confirmed from Nintendo - but not confirmed if digital only or digital and physical media
@@mackers_855 mmmmmm I didn't read that yet, thanks for letting me know!
It will both be physical and digital. The Switch eShop will be on the Switch 2.
Good vid. Get a 3D printer and print a controller. So much more customisability.
@@ProjectGin thanks gin, that sounds craaazy, can u link me a tutorial?
Nice vid bro
Preciate you brother
Can’t change cartridges cause then there’s no backwards compatibility
That's not fully true, with the wii, the disc was bigger, but the GameCube discs could still fit in the system.
Bro, 2. Or 3ds is the same as naming it nintendo switch 2
3ds was a play on words because it was 3d. 2ds was just creating a distinction because it didn't have 3d features. Still creative broski
They wont simply because the wii u was a flop
@@canada3375 but what about when they rebranded completely going into the wii from the gamecube🤔 the wii was backwards compatible
I guess we are going to ignore that Nintendo called two systems a 3DS and just slapped new on one of them to differentiate?
😭😭 what?!? 2? I need pictures as evidence
I remember the 2ds forsure
