A few newbie question: 1. I see you put Balance strike on slot 1, but recommended air strike while chain, why is that? Is air strike better in pve and balance is for pvp? 2. Shadow strike on slot 2, an odd one since it a long CD range skill, what is it chain with, or just a convenient range skill like Obsidian ashes? Should i use both shadow + Obsidian ? 3. Is Obsidian blaze worth using over wheel of fortune, it seems weak to me? Thank you for your time.
1) you will use both in pvp. In pve, balanced strike is just used for movement since it has a wildly long cooldown but air strike is very short cd 2) great for pulling mobs and also applies a magic dp buff on you that can be useful. It’s instance cast, obsidian ashes takes like 5 years to use. 3) obsidian blaze is bad but the alternative Rabam skill for that slot is worse. You’ll essentially never use it. Sometimes you can try to sell it as your wheel of fortune being on CD in a 1v1 but you can’t ani cancel it so you are opening yourself up to get CCed in the protection gap at the end of the animation. Damage on it is basically 0.
Also if you aren’t using shadow strike to pull mobs, you can actually slide it into your pve combo easily at the beginning. Unveiled dagger>shadow strike>air strike is pretty smooth transition wise for a little extra damage.
@@NotTheWorstt For those of us that dont know, can you dig deeper into why it is? Does the HP not really work well or maybe the damage isnt as advertised? I am just curious since on paper it looks like a nice skill.
Long, unprotected animation that cannot be cancelled. You are completely locked into the skill until your character stands up. Do that at sycraia around the 320s dp range and you die. Do that at elvia monastery around the 340s and you die. The damage amount is really bad when you factor how long it takes to finish the skill. You could have done 2-3 other skills in that time. It is, however, commonly used while leveling up before 56 when you get real skills. When the dk rework comes around I can 100% promise you corrupt ground gets an overhaul.
Eh I put a skill build in last years guide but I feel like it’s redundant. Just learn the skills used in the rotation, movement skills, and passives. Good to go.
As a new player I’m starting with Sage. I tried DK but found her a bit too squishy and weak early game so I need to make some money and gear her up. I love her play style the most of any character I’ve played.

Is awakening DK still much worse to even be considered over succession even after the most recent PvE buffs? How much more trash does succ DK pull compared to awakening?

I'm a brand new player, all the guides I find for this game are talking about things that I have no idea about. please someone point me in the direction of a beginners guide. I really wanna play this game but I'm SO Confused. Nothing is explained, I can't equip any other sword than my first one. I can't kill anything anymore without having to spend 30 min to kill 3 enemies. When I try to use items from my inventory it's says, item conditions not met! What do I do!

How about HP recovery skills like Ravage Rake and Corrupt Ground? Do you think I should learn them?
Corrupt ground is possibly the worst skill DK has. Ravage rake isn’t awful but low damage for the length of time it takes.

Dk definitely needs more gear investment, super fun when well geared but takes a bit to get there.

both class need an early investment. they so squisy at early game. sorc hard to master, you will need a lot of practice for her combo both pve and pvp

I mean you really just want to be one shotting packs as quickly as possible when grinding sp.

Nah, they’re close enough that either is fine. You might find mp sustain a slight annoyance in awakening but not a huge deal.
