Thanks for the video I am getting a streak the Polish did work a treat is there a wiper inside this as it is a faint black line that comes on all prints same location after the wax first copy was clean shortly after the lines reappeared thanks
Do you have any alternatives for the Nu Finish? I'm in the EU and it is hard to come by. Would something carnauba based work? Also would a dirty transfer belt cause the printer to stop applying color to the printouts from one day to another?
You can use a light cleaning alocohol to clean the transfer belt, that's what all the other "how to clean the transfer belt" videos tell you to use. Btw, those other videos also tell you NOT to press down too hard on the belt (because it can cause new damage) and NOT to touch the belt directly because the oils on your fingers can damage the material! I used isopropanol - you should be able to get it in a shop that sells e.g. electronic parts - and the "knife" left a lot of powdered color on the belt after moving it but that didn't seem to cause any problems.
No please don’t use alcohol, alternative is turtle wax , I use it to clean the primary charge rollers (PCR) in the toner cartridges when I remanufacture them
@Frank De Ruiter cool. I'll have to take a look. There are so many out there now if they tear I just recycle them. You can buy used ones for next to nothing right now
Sorry I have to say this but this video shows bad practices! First of all: NEVER EVER touch the transfer belt, use the white gear to move the belt. Be careful though that you turn it in the right direction! 2. Don't press down on the belt too hard unless you want to nick it, which will then leave artifacts on printed paper. Use soft, circular motions to clean the belt. I don't know how effective car wax is. Everyone else just tells you to use a light cleaning alcohol (e.g. isopropanol), which I did and which also worked for my printer.
I agree. Though direction on these older models should not matter, as I understand it. NB You need to remove the plastic cower to reveal the motor wheel with which you can safely rotate the belt either way. Only two screws. Love these printers - I bet mine is working still in another 20 years :)
I can’t wait to try this I can’t tell you how much I appreciate finding this video I will edit the post once I try it to let yahs know how it went!
Just did this on my HP4005n and it worked like a charm! Thanks!!!

Hi!
Does this Method works with HP 3600 N Printer?
Can’t I somehow get a new belt without buying an entire ITB UNIT? I have a hole in my belt.
i wonder if this will fix the halftone calibration error?

Does the transfer belt have an excess toner collection bin?
This ITB does not have a tone collection bin. The excess toner goes back into each color toner cartridge on the HP 4700 and CP4005 printers.
do you have tutorial how to repair ETB transfer belt HP CP3525
how to set unset color of the HP Laser Jet 4700dn
Is it possible, that if the ETB/ITB film is torn to just purchase and replace the belt/film itself?
Unfortunately no you cannot.

Will this service the HP Laserjet 4600 Printer?
thanks
Zip
yes
Use a cordless drill and an auto buff foam pad - works much better then hand
