I haven’t been excited about a sample library for a while but this sounds excellent Spitfire and massive massive props to the legend that is Everlyn Glennie. To be almost completely deaf and to create the amazing percussion work that she does is such an inspiration. Not often a legend gets a sample library!❤️
Sounds like there's some great stuff in here. If I could make a suggestion for future walkthroughs could we have the volume of the instruments higher against the voice. If I listen at a point where I can properly hear the instruments the voice is very loud in comparison.
@@pixelcat_yt I could see that being useful. Especially if you’d used a convolution reverb on various close mic’d instruments and samples to get everything glued and sounding like an orchestra. Add some room tone and voila.

Back when I was in orchestra in highschool (late 80s) I discovered rolling on an upside down cymbal on a tympani head why pumping the pitch pedal sounds a bit like the T.A.R.D.I.S. I've never seen anyone else do this before this video. Pretty cool :)
Well played, Lucie. I concur; very good and organic samples. Inspiring, in a word. Thank you for the demonstration. I'm typically swayed by strings, woods, brass, and piano. This one gives me some ripples. It may find a place in my template.
I’m terrible because I’ve bought so many libraries imagining all the ways I might use them but the opportunities never come by, meaning I have many barely touched libraries. But will I buy this one regardless? Probably.
This feels like I can let myself go. I'm becoming tired of the 'standard design' of music composition. Thank you to both parties for making it easer for musicians to express themselves in all these beautiful ways.
Great review Lucie. Wonderful tone and style. From some of the comments it appears that the product is perhaps a little too subtle and sophisticated for the core customer base...
Hmmm, I never even bothered watching a video about this instrument because I thought this is not for me but damn, there are lots of sounds perfect for the kind of Sci Fi and dystopian music I want to create more of. Sadly, I am already way over my budget limits. Maybe someday...
Tbh I haven’t really cared about a SF product in over a year. They crank out so much. But Evelyn Glennie is a badass percussionist. I’ll give it a second look after vacation
Basically. If you take a snare drum. And hit it over and over it would have subtle differences because you would never hit it exactly the same every time . So , every take of that same snare drum would be. A round robin. It's what helps make a realistic sound . Voilà.
@@d.lafollette hahahahaha. You know. With a serious amount of processing and pitch shifting that could be possible. Spitfire could do a library like that. Lol

@@spitfireaudiollp much appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to "Spitfire - Zimmer Room Tones". The sound of empty rooms Hans Zimmer has recently exited.

Jokes aside, a Lyndhurst Hall room tone would be great.
People would literally buy that from also other celebrities as well 😂😂

You guys are good. Your products are delightful but your marketing is genius. Cheers.

Evelyn Glennie!!! Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.....
Welcome to "Spitfire - Monster Cable Kontakt Library". The sound of cables of various lengths and impedances.
What a joy to watch her and listen :D
I've been wanting some not-so-common percussion sounds for a while...I think I'll cop this now.
A library that is both completely unique AND useful! Bought it.
A reverb engine? ”When epic hits die away, what do they leave behind?” The tail of sound - reverb or echo?
So glad that you have done an Evelyn Glennie library!
"smidge" is a word not used often enough IMHO... some amazing sounds here too!
I love Glennie! 🥰
Super Idea! 👏
What a fantastic overview of an outstanding product. Just purchased it. Spitfire truly understands their customers and their needs.
😉
just bought it downloading now... can't wait!
This sounds like it would go really well with Heirloom.
Sounds like somebody fitting a central heating system in a hall, basically.
Haha, comment of the day :)
Instant coughing fit....
Very Jerry Goldsmith . I love it !!
Any video with Lucie is a joy to watch and listen to. Well done Spitfire. But should be more affordable.
This is great! Have been a huge Evelyn Glennie since I was in high school. Saw her live in 2002 with the Tucson Symphony.

Good timing... I'm at the Glasgow City Halls to see a concert by Evelyn this Sat. She is an amazing musician
AMAZING! Enjoy it!
Great sound FX for a movie score.

I can't hear Lucie Treacher's voice without thinking she's a lost character from Salad Fingers.
Sounds great. And it's just what I need at the moment.
Outstanding sounds and an excellent demonstration!
This feels like I can let myself go. I'm becoming tired of the 'standard design' of music composition.

All these sounds are basically the score to the Hannibal TV Show
Awesome keyboard to many action percussion
Very cool, soon in my Daw, best
Vibrations are left in the air.
Spitfire - Resonate (?)
Nice Job
Reverb, where's that come from? They're giving away a copy of the library during the chat. Reverb is not a library.
Time to get extremely anxious watching the live chat again
Can't wait!
Fantastic. I could swear I heard a few Tom Waits moments in there. Nicely done. 👏
What’s he building in there
Great review Lucie. Wonderful tone and style.

Amazing sounds and possibilities, and another great presentation!
Lucie is a unique, talented creature... middlings of 30'sish should pay attention.

Looking forward to this!

Grab it in one of their sales. It's an amazing library, one of those where you just keep discovering new facets.

A library so loud, you'll go deaf using.
Ouch…funny tho.
Very interesting, but imho wildly overpriced.

Ok…Eric.
Style over substance, the only saving grace - no strings sampled in a cesspit or uncle Fred’s dogs trainers piano, at least, not yet.
