- Golem (2021) is a heavy strategy board game designed by Flaminia Brasini, Virginio Gigli, Simone and Luciani, the team behind Grand Austria Hotel and Lorenzo il Magnifico. It is produced by Cranio Games.
Golem is an engine builder within which players will attempt to exploit the power of the Golems they build without letting them get out of control. Players will only have 12 actions over the course of the entire game, but potential to chain effects of a carefully planned moved means a lot can happen. The primary mechanic focuses on this synagogue, where players will take a marble to perform an effect. These effects amount to paying resources in order to get different types of income upgrades or the capacity to build and utilize more, stronger golems. Every round, the golems inevitably progress down tracks that gain them access to more powerful actions, but if the golems go too far, they may escape your control, resulting in a sever penalty. So if you’ve ever heard of an “engine building game,” this would be an “engine-restraining game.”

Thank you! This was a fun video to make because, playing the game, I don’t feel it’s actually that complicated, but every other tutorial is about twice as long.
Welcome back!
Hope you had a brilliant summer road trip?
Thank you. Yes. In fact, I was thinking of just doing a really candid and casual video just to tell everyone about my summer (as well as some of the games I’ve experienced or am looking forward to.) I’m encouraged that you would notice my return and comment on my video.
@@theperfectboardgame no worries, glad to hear you had a good time, I would definitely be interested in that video as I'm sure lots of your subscribers would be as well.
