If you hold off a bit, you can actually click a mission as Lan Xang that gives permanent +20 cav to inf ratio, it's pretty easy to complete actually, you just need 25% cav ca and to take lan xang ideas, it's good for anyone going for this strat in multiplayer, as horde ideas aren't that good in mp.
imho, It is good idea to play Lan Xang for permanent modifiers: "Legitimate Rule" (+ yearly legitimacy, -10% stability cost), "One Faith" (-25% missionary maintenance, +1 tolerance of the true faith). And of course, "A Million Elephants" modifier!.. :)
@@KFishproductionII thx! :)
Perfect army is Ayutthaya-Dai Viet-Lan Xang-Tibet-Khalkha-Siam since you'd get +10 siege ability, +2.5 discipline and also some other permanent bonuses fron Dai Viet mission tree as well as some cavalry and religion bonuses from Lan Xang missions. And also you'd end up with amazing toothpaste color of Siam!
Also a couple more tips:
1. You can complete Populate Ayutthaya mission on day 1 if you concentrate dev from your vassals - first Sukhothai, second Ligor. If you use Encourage development edict you'd get 1 extra dev (31 in total). This is enough for completing the mission and one of the age objectives.
2. If you managed to get alliance with Ming you could reduce their opinion on tributaries that you want to attack. This probably won't work every time, but usually Ming won't defend a tributary that it hates. Also it's better to reduce opinion when Ming has rebels/low mandate/tough war/loans, so it will be even less willing to fight for it's tributary.
3. Malacca has missions that converts some of it's tributaries into vassals and usually this nation becomes quite strong in the midgame. So maybe it's better to wait with it's subjugation and get much more powerfull subject if you enjoy playing with vassals.
you are becoming my favorite eu4 player , keep the out of the box and fun games !
Kale > Shun > Tibet > Khalkha > Siam = Easy Eat Your Greens achievement
For EYG better not to form Siam and pick horde ideas
you can do this a bit quicker by starting as Sukhothai because they get a mission at one point that gives you provinces and makes ayuthaya your PU.
Honestly I don't think I'd go for the Tibetan Horde, but I really like the backdoor way of forming Siam early!
Bonobo make hord tengri poland :)
Hey first! Love these videos!
Wait... why is the +1 cavalry fire back?
I played Siam after the release of Domination, and was extremly sad, because they replaced the extra cav fire... I thought it was for balance reasons. And now I see that they still have it...?
Yeah, in return they nerfed cav combat ability. Still better than extra pip though
Please do a part 2
Great video, bit of a shame you didn't end on Siam. The color of Khalkha is terrible :p
Agree that the color is terrible, though it's possible to form another nation and keep horde government (Yuan springs to mind, or maybe someone Indian). Also if you're masochistic enough it's possible to play as Tibetan nation and form Siam, or rush to Indochina as Manchu and form Siam, or maybe just first form Tibet as Ayutthaya, and only then Siam.
AE is just a number, they cant declare war when they dont exist i say xD
does this still work, now you have to have 2 non estate disasters as lan xang
Interesting, it still should work, but now it's more difficult. You need to fire two of: civil war, peasants war, internal turmoil, court and country. Not impossible, but might take longer than usual.
How on earth did you get Renaissance so early? If never seen it arrive earlier than 1500-1550.
Development. If you develop province enough of times, it will spawn there. In the new patch you can also ask for knowledge sharing, but Siam is too far away from Europeans for this to work.
@@CoolBonobo Cool, how much development do you need?
There is a tab with a book on every province (it's on the right). You can see the progress to spreading the institution there. Usually you need around 30 dev to spawn institution, give or take 5. The more developed province is, the more new dev will spread the institution.
Ok thanks.
:)
Convert to islam for the sweet sweet dev reduction cost and an extra merchant
It may have it, but Infantry is ever superior in any case. Cavalry it's only circumstantial.
Cavalry is straight up superior infantry. The only difference is that it's in limited quantities (unless you stack cavalry to infantry ratio), and that's it two times more expensive
EXACTLY!@@CoolBonobo
@@alauddinahmadshah7505 Which means if im a hordr with 100 ratio and an economy to support it good luck winning battles, especially on steppe lands, promise you 50k stack wipes are real
As you say youll need to be a horde in the steppes, which are by far the most boring form of playing. I think they give them that much of bonuses just to compensate the boring to play that circumstance it is @@achrafsalimi-np9js
Exactly! If i need to play in that way just for the cav to be useful, then isent wort at all! Actually I achieved 50% inf ef plus +1fire and +1shock between custom ideas, events and idea gropus. Plus im playing in Indonesia (very jungly) so there is no cav army who can beat me@@achrafsalimi-np9js
