Yeah, but to be fair, it's not all Peri's fault. It's his very first God Kid, he wants to help kids just like his parents and make them proud.
But unfortunately, Cosmo and Wanda's curse of getting stuck with God Kids that are so bad, they are Hall of Infamy worthy has rubbed off on him.
Peri tried to reason with Dev, and he tried to explain why he has to follow the rules, he tried to help Dev change and not feel miserable and to become a happier and healthy Godkid, he tried to like an even love him like Cosmo and Wanda did with Timmy, but Dev absolutely refused to change and it's not entirely Peri's fault he got mad at him and quit, I think Peri did the reasonable response.
I honestly say Peri should be given a break.
I honestly feel bad for Peri that his very first God Kid was such a Remy Bucksaplenty 2.0 level disaster that nearly destroyed all of Fairy World.
I'm surprised Peri didn't quit being a Fairy Godparent after such a colossal failure of a Godkid. It's like Peri was doomed from the start, and it's just not fair.
I seriously hope that in Season 2 maybe he could be Hazel's Godparent officially, or at the very least his next god kid isn't a such little monster.
He actually didn't leave and still he back at Dev. Even after Dev wished his parent to POOF. Like, bro ...😐

@denysvision Dev is Timmy but with more worst qualities, but my hopes that if we get a S2 Dev will get a redemption arc and get Peri back. I adored their relationship with some parts of it questionable it's adorable. Dev wouldn't be the first rich kid to have their fairies taken and brought back them

A kid who's going out of his way to be a bully and making wishes that harm people; he should get consequences, as his wishes could result in something really bad happening to those around him.
It's not ill-will, it's wanting to see him learn his lesson and maybe improve himself in the process.

I think the pixies might be perfect for the next season. I mean dale still has the h project kinda, so he can still figure out about the fairies and magic. Then he could end up teaming up with the pixies since they have very similar mentalities. Also together they could come up with an evil plan about bringing chaos, one where they oppress everyone with order at the max level and use rules against the fairies somehow.

I mean IDK how long Dev had Peri but it can take a month before truly negative side effects that are self destructive begin. Dev's behavior reminds me of when I had worsening symptoms from SSRIs.

I think you are to hardsh on dev, yes he is an jerk but again he is 10 years old, timmy as well wasn't the nicest person but the different is that dev does have an heart on his right place, he was just cought up with hazel's popularity and how his father negleted him to the point he did what he did, he even let himself be punished because he knows that what he did is messed up, and again that means he is not an evil person just misguided and needs help, amity for example was in the similar situasion yet she grows as well, rigby was a jerk yet he later grown and change, just give time for dev to actually grown and change

Dev was a complete asshole to Peri that I don’t honestly feel ANY sympathy for him. I mean yeah he had a bad life and that’s very sad but in a way he totally deserved a lot of it and he’s still a colossal jerk. To me, Dev is a pretty tragic character because despite all the horrible things he’s done with his wishes, he NEVER apologizes to Hazel or Peri, NEVER takes accountability for his actions and NEVER learns ANYTHING. Sadly though there are people like Dev out there who despite the fact that they do bad things to others and suffer the consequences of their actions, they STILL haven’t learned ANYTHING and STILL act out very selfish, arrogant, entitled, and unkind to others and always blame other people but themselves, NEVER apologizes to the people they’ve hurt and NEVER show integrity, maturity or take responsibility for their actions.

@@denysvision You know what? You’re absolutely right about that. It’s all part of Deb’s character development and growth. It’s all part of being a kid. In reality, kids mess up so they’re gonna do stupid and selfish things every so often but in the end, they’re STILL learning, STILL growing, STILL figuring out how to think of others before themselves and grow up to be kind, smart and honest people. Kids aren’t born just being good kids, they have to grow that way and if they make mistakes, of course they’re gonna suffer the consequences of their actions which is why its important for child characters to have character development.
I agree sure Dev might be misarable and his life sucks but he doesn't need to take his anger out on people who are trying to help him why don't people realize that with him?
