I'm 28 and this video still makes me cry; like real first-10-minutes-of-Up type sobbing.And I think it does that because it reframes the super-positive song The Greatest as a tragic ballad about what life could have been and should have been for all those people. What it should be for everybody - to be free to feel like the greatest on a dancefloor, the greatest here tonight, the greatest alive. I can't even handle the song any more, i gets messy.
From what I've read this is what it means. Pulse club is a LGBTQ+ friendly club. The night of the shooting was Latin night. A lot of Latin youngsters were there. Some of them were still in the closet. The owner of Pulse said in an interview that the club was supposed to be a safe space for all of those people to be themselves. After the attack there was fear in people. It kind of pushed some people back in the closet. The video shows them lying in a cage which symbolises them being in the closet. Maddie then urges them to go out and be themselves and be the greatest that they can be. In the end it shows how the madness of one man destroyed all that. The video makes me overwhelmed too every time I watch it. It's beautifully made respecting all the sentiments. It's one of my favourite music videos too 🙂
Actually it isn't funny. This dancers are the peapol of the gay club in Orlando. Many people are shoot because they are gay. The rainbow on the face of Maddy is actually the gay symbol. Deep meaning in this song and video
@@skygoomysteatime3967 how's that wierd, I havent seen the video hence its called a reaction and i was laughing for the facial expression the young girl was making and I was smiling because one I can, and second it shows in the video no matter what happens they wont give up and positivity makes you smile.. reaction videos people see things differently
