Actually that cop was talking sense that way of number writing is not visible from any angle unless you are watching it from the top by standing near to bike.
In shillong, one cop stopped me for the same reason, yes of course he needed bribe. He stopped me and said why there's no number plate in the front. For the record it's not mandatory to put number plate in front if the vehicle is a 2 wheeler. When he saw my gopro and it was recording then he let me go.

actually only the rear number being not readable is charged. front number plate doesn't serve any purpose of identification from violation/criminal point of view
cop is right..... what if you hit somebody with your bike and cop cannot see your number plate?? you should also understand it.... keep your nunber plate on those areas where all can dee from far range too....

don't change the number plate position just for looks. if it was a senior officer he would not let you go and coz of your camera you would have had to pay the actual fine and no mandavli would do 😂
