    I absolutely love fresh aloe on my skin, it really does help with breakouts and dark marks. I found that it irritated my skin at first, but I read that if you cut the spines off and soak it in water for 24 hours, that yellow liquid (which is a toxin) will come out and it'll no longer irritate your skin. Just a tip for my sensitive skinned ladies 😉

      ...btw, after soaking the aloe leaf, i cut it with a knife, spoon all the aloe into my Ninja, add some vitamin e (and recently some lemon eucalyptus oil) and blend it. I strain the mixture and freeze it in a little silicone mold. Once it's frozen, I'll grab a piece and rub it on my face after washing it. I leave it on for 15 mins, rinse and moisturize.

      Raven Willow, I wouldn't think so because we aren't detaching all the attachments to the actual leaf, just were the spines reside. I'm not an expert but I don't experience any adverse affects or notice any differences.

      Rae Rose I've got eczema too. Using fresh aloe vera I've found it's really irritating and flares up my skin instantly, leaving it itchy. Did you experience these symptoms?

    • @raebeautiful
      @raebeautiful  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't experience any irritation behind my ears at all. Maybe try using a light non-comedogenic oil with it? I used argan oil as my moisturizer after doing the aloe vera mask and it helped.

    I use it every day, I put it on my face, allow it to dry, I do not wash it out, I just use coconut oil on my face and I'm out to work. I rinse my face out at night, but I do not put any aloe at bed time. I've been doing this for over 10yrs, and my face is perfect, absolutely no break outs.

      How long does the leaf last And how do you keep it from going bad once you have cut it

    • @Lilia7016
      @Lilia7016 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      darkchocolateice I keep mine in the fridge, I cover the cut end with a piece of paper towel and I tie a rubber ban around it to stay in place. In that way it stays fresh. It can last 3 to 4 weeks after you cut it. But I use it every day, so there is no time for me to allow it to go to waste.

    I see some people saying that Aloe will not clear dark marks but I would like to say that for ME it has been clearing dark scars left from a breakout. I had a really bad breakout on my right cheek and along my jawline which is extremely unusual for me as I have alway shad clear, even tone, and non acne prone skin. I was devastated to see that after the pimples were gone I was left with VERY dark scars. I have been using fresh aloe vera on my face everyday for a week and those marks are fading. The marks had been the same for months. In 7 days they are almost completely gone. I would say that Aloe does clear dark marks but the pace at which it happens varies person to person. We haver to remember that aloe is meant to heal the skin and unless you see a dermatologist and have your skin microscopically looked at, you cannot know how DEEP your scarring goes. What happens in a week or two weeks for some can three to four for others but it WILL happen. You have to be consistent. Aloe won't damage the skin unless you are allergic, if it is irritating your skin, soak your cut aloe (skin on) for twenty minutes, rinse it, and then apply it to your skin. The sap can cause irritation for some, for me I'm fine. You can also Ingest aloe which will accelerate the healing process for you face. You have to soak your aloe twice (skin off) before blending it to add to a smoothie. ALSO DRINKING MORE WATER WILL IMPROVE THE SKIN. Apply fresh aloe to your face and leave it on for 25 to 30 minutes every morning and night and drink a gallon of water each day for two weeks and you're skin will be radiant.

    Been using it for some time, im male and I find it is really good to apply fresh from the plant before shaving my face. I grow the plants too and have a house filled with them because it works so well. If you buy a plant it will reproduce itself, which means you keep getting new plants. This gives you an everlasting supply of it as long as you water it but don't over water it.

    I use 100% pure aloe juice as a toner only (followed by a moisturiser) and in my hair conditioner leave in mix. Love it! You can use the fresh aloe gel as a serum but I always follow with an actual moisturiser otherwise it's too drying. Also add a dash of fresh aloe juice to your lemon water in the morning....game changer!

    I’ve been using the Aloe Vera Gel in a bottle that you can find at Sprouts. The brand is Lily of The Desert. I don’t think it is of the same quality of the actual leaf itself so I will probably give the leaf a try. However, I have noticed that my skin seems brighter after using it for a couple weeks and my dark marks might be a little lighter but maybe I could get better results.

      Fikiswa Harris I’m not sure. I noticed a difference when I used the leaf too. It’s stickier and it dries weird, I have to rinse it off. The one in the bottle I can just let dry on my face and go about my day with no issues

    • @tahirawynn1346
      @tahirawynn1346 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ForJoy TV. It does that once you first start to use it for a couple of days or a week or two but thats because your skin isn't use to that gel like gooey aloe vera onyour face but. If that continues to itch then you could be allergic

    • @tahirawynn1346
      @tahirawynn1346 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ForJoy TV thats because thats the actual raw aloe vera the one in the bottle i do not prefer to use , there are ingredients in the aloe vera bottle that i dont believe that should not be add itr especially if i am using it on my face raw aloe vera is the best for me

    • @ForJoyTV
      @ForJoyTV 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hi Rae, yes I use the fresh aloe leaf on my face, nails, feet and hair. It's such a wonderful, natural relief for so many of the things that plague us daily. It's been approx. 1 year and a half, however, I only cut a dime size piece and split that in half to expose the gel (1 each for the morning and night time routine). It's not nearly as messy. P.S. always follow with a moisturizer. 😊🌷🌿

    Yes to Aloe Vera. I used Aloe Vera Leaf Juice mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar for dark marks and to help/prevent breakouts. I also use Aloe Vera juice in a spray bottle mixed with castor oil and my leave in conditioner as a hair refresher. Aloe is life!! I tried to pure leaf but for easy storage I bought the Lily of The Desert brand they have it in both juice and gel form.

    And yes aloe never causes breakouts.

    I am currently doing aloe vera facials every night and am on day 9. The texture of my skin has greatly changed, it’s soft all the time, and I don’t have to exfoliate to achieve it. It’s clear and glowy. I also put aloe vera and coconut oil on my scalp for growth. I blend the two together. Much cheaper than buying all this other stuff on the market and not even knowing what’s in it or if it’ll work.

    I grew up seeing my mother (a bad acne sufferer) smothering herself in fresh aloe and it worked brilliantly.
    I use bottled 99.9% aloe overnight, wake up looking hydrated, smoother and brighter - but I can’t honestly say it’s what lightens my dark spots as I exfoliate regularly.

    aloe vera is also really good for warts. I had warts back when I was 8 and I kept aloe vera into the wart hold it with plaster or band-aid. I can't remember how long it took maybe a day or two. The wart became a little soft and I hit hand at the edge of the chalkboard and the wart came off. It may be the chalkboard LOL but I think its the aloe though.

    I use Aloe vera gel in the bottle and it's very effective. It tightens the skins very well. I use the aloe with Rosewater, it's very effective for skin and hair, and ladies don't forget the "neck" area. It dries quickly, and you can leave it on overnight, and I forgot, the brand I use is "Lily of the Desert". I tried the "whole leaf", but I could not handle the smell and the slippery mess. I also use in my hair and on my scalp and my hair has grown a lot.

    If ye love me, keep my commandments.
    John 14:15 KJV
    Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
    Exodus 20:8‭-‬9 KJV
    Saturday is the day of the Lord
    The claim that Christ by his death abolished his Father’s law, is without foundation. Had it been possible for the law to be changed or set aside, then Christ need not have died to save man from the penalty of sin. The death of Christ, so far from abolishing the law, proves that it is immutable. The Son of God came to “magnify the law, and make it honorable.” [Isaiah 42:21.] He said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law;” “till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law.” [Matthew 5:17, 18.] And concerning himself he declares, “I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart.” [Psalm 40:8.] GC88 466.3
    Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV
    Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

    Using aloe for acne since the 90's and for minor to major cuts and burns till now....for you older folks out there it works wonders on hemorrhoids, lol. I would recommend not to use for skin conditions tho, but would not hurt try. Its also great to treat old and new scars, with a little patience and persistence it can do wonders.

    It looks to have brightened your skin tone. I started using coconut oil it it did about the same for my texture which I thinking is actually smoothing the layers of dry skin with moisture. I like them both alot, usually I'd never put oil on my skin, it may be a winter regimen. I would like to try fresh aloe next. Thanks!

    I've been doing it a bout twice a day every day for 7 days. I dont see a difference but my husband and best friend does. I also sometimes mix it with organic turmeric and raw honey and leave it in for 20 minutes. After I rinse i apply pure aloe then go to bed. Wake up wash my face then apply again for 20 minutes rinse and moisturize. It's a lot but I'm really hoping it works 🤞🤞

    Growing up my mom always bought me fresh aloe Vera. I would apply it on my hair, face and total body. I had really dry skin (body) and dry hair. My facial skin was decent but I did have occasional teen breakouts. I honestly don’t remember what it did for me because that was like 20 years ago. However, after seeing your vid, I’m gonna revisit aloe. I’ve been having major facial skin issues for the first time in my life and I hate it. Wish me luck.

    I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets the dry skin behind the ears I dislike it so much I have permanent dark marks from in because I didn’t know as a teenager what was happening to my skin so I would itch and it would scab etc but really love this video !! Look forward to more of your videos !

      The reason it smells like this to you is because aloe Vera plants have this yellow sap and that’s what smells bad all you have to do is cut a piece and then soak it in water. Just put it in a cup of water for a few minutes and then take the flesh out. The yellow sap will come out and then it’ll smell like nothing at all

    is it ok to apply aloe vera on your face at night and morning for the rest of your life? or do you have to give your face a break?

    • @raebeautiful
      @raebeautiful  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great question. I notice a lot of improvement in my skin when I take breaks. I am currently doing the aloe vera every other day and my skin is still flourishing. I'm going to try to stretch a little longer and see if I notice a difference. Applying everyday wasn't bad for my skin though. I think it's a matter of preference. How often you want to apply the mask.

    I tried this last week after watching T'keyah B's video about it. I only did it two days and it made my face breakout with tiny whiteheads. To be fair, the aloe leaf I got was a little dinky one and slightly yellow...so I'm going to look for a better leaf and try it again. Your skin looks nice btw!

      Crystal Byrd same thing happened to me, I just tried it for the second night in a row and my face has tiny white spots and I'm starting to get red patches on my face. I'm gonna have to stop before it gets any worse. Plus my leaf wasn't yellow or anything, I guess I'm just allergic to aloe vera.

    Girl this did not work for me. For some reason my skin hates aloe. I purchased the plant from my local grocery store and tried it for a week. The 3 day my skin was irritated, and dry. Mind you I cleansed and moisturized. The forth day I had to abort the operation, I looked like a burn victim. Did research before and after this trial. I'm not sure why this didn't work for me.

      Did your aloe come with yellow mucilage? It is toxic to our skins. If you'd like to give it a shot again.You might have to clean these yellow by running through water and use only whitish gel of aloe.
